“Service was fine, am not picky when it comes to fast food, no reason to expect anything, as long as they took my order and gave me my food, am fine with it. 5-stars~All I wanted was the Nacho Fries because there great. They prepared it extremely fast, so I thought it was already fried and left out. Its usually like a 50/50 you get fresh fries when it isnt busy. I get what I get, I don't usually get picky about a fresh batch, unless its soggy.Surprisingly, the fries was burning hot and crispy, right out the oil, it even burned my mouth (Only becuase I didn't expect it to be such a fresh batch). I was absolutely satisfied and it was beyond perfect this time around. Its what all french fry lovers dream of, fresh out the oil, crispy to perfection goodness. “I ordered the 3 beef tacos (tacos de Birria) that came with a consommé. Amazing. Service was fast and friendly. They are doing some facade changes out front, landlord? My husband had the chicken enchiladas and he really liked them. They give a green sauce with the chips that was very tasty. I would definitely come here again.“
“I dropped in on an early Monday evening for take-out and had a drink while I waited. They have some pretty awesome menu items and it was quite difficult for me to chose. I opted for the veggie chimichanga. I ordered a margarita, snacked on some chips and delicious salsa and enjoyed the wait. After I dug in at home, I was pleasantly pleased with the presentation of my food along with the tastiness. It was amazing! I couldn't believe I've lived in the area my whole young adult years and never been there! Definitely a place to keep in your pocket!“

“I’ve ordered food from Surfside about three times. Mostly after going to bars and lounges in DC. Yesterday, wasn’t as crowded at 2am, when I decided to pick up food. I ordered the Cabo San Lucas- steak tacos, plain shrimp tacos, and a Maui taco. The tacos tasted great after you spent the night drinking and dancing. I spent $41.64 on 5 tacos. You have to order and wait outside or either in your car for your food. That sucks when it’s 40 degrees outside.“

Watching meals being prepared is inspiring; the care taken to assemble each order is impressive. (The guacamole is made fresh for each one.)But it's worth the short wait -- the food is delicious. Our burritos were massive and stuffed not with filler but things you really want to eat. We lived in California for years; it could be the best we've ever eaten.It may be in a gas station but there's a table right there if you want to eat in (as we did) and a clean rest room close by. “I really enjoyed eating at Samantha’s! I was so surprised to walk in and see a lot of families eating in there, which told me this was a popular spot with potentially a lot of returning customers. We ordered the argentine steak that was supposed to come with a chimichurri sauce but didn’t appear present on the steak, more so “flavored” chimichurri I guess.. and I ordered beef and ribs fajitas. The rice and beans were really good and tasty. I enjoyed my beef fajitas, but the ribs were a little too saucy and more American bbq tasting than Latino style. I see that they have a pork ribs entree on the menu which I may try next time to see if they’re any but different than the fajitas.I really liked that they had a large menu with many options so we can try different stuff each time we come back. “I've been coming here for what 3? 5? 6 years now? I always get the same thing and it's always perfect. There's one thing can be said for amazing food, it's a completely different thing when talking about amazing consistency. I've never, ever had a steak quesadilla or sangria as amazing as they make them here. It's simple, steak, cheese, and tortilla. It's so simple, but the flavors and taste are simply unmatched. Perfection. Service is just AMAZING. I think the phrase comfort food gets thrown around quite a bit, but I make a point to come 2-4 times a month because as I described to my partner, the food just evokes emotion. Reassurance, acceptance, warmth, winning, and just contentment, when I get a steak quesadilla from Guapos on Wisconsin Ave, I just know whatever is going on in my life, it's going to be okay.The sangria is unmatched. I tried various sangrias around D.C. and this is definitely my number 1. Their Tres Leches cake is also a treat when I'm in the mood for dessert.“

“This is my favorite restaurant in the DMV. Food is always amazing as well as their frozen margaritas. The atmosphere is always beautiful. Candles and fresh flowers on every table for dinner. We drive 50 minutes just to go here. If you've never been I'd highly suggest going asap!“
“We love Guapo’s and come here often. Wait times are long but sometimes you get lucky. The drinks and food are delicious. However I had my first bad experience with a waiter this weekend. I paid the bill with my card and was going to leave a cash tip, the lady saw me select “no tip” and told me “tip is not included” …. I know how tipping works and it should never be excepted but appreciated. It left a sour taste. Especially given we always TIP well. Made me not want to leave anything at all. Very unprofessional!“

Some negatives were that the taquitos sinaloa were plain tasting, and the table salsa was watery/lacking flavor. Having lived in Montgomery County for 10 years, Uncle Julio's in Rio Gaithersburg has been my family's go-to for Tex Mex over the years. We've not liked the direction they've gone recently with their menu or pricing practices, so hopefully Villa Maya can remain a great alternative for the foreseeable future.“

The people service was fast and very accommodating, I guess that’s the plus side of only having a few tables to service. The atmosphere was nice, and the food was affordable.
