“I reviewed this place when I first moved to the area. It was average. Decent food. Nothing great. Now there's new ownership and it's a lot better. Today I had a cheesesteak that was pretty good. My only complaint was the hots are really vinegary and overpowering. The young man at the counter was very polite and helpful. This place has definitely improved.“

“Went to Baltimore for a concert and stayed a couple extra days. Finding this place wasn't as obvious as I'd like it to be but it wasn't too crazy. We went on a Friday morning but we were the only ones inside. A few online orders but it was definitely not what I was expecting. Me and my girl ordered the red velvet and the Oreo chicken and waffles with a water and the strawberry kiwi punch. We dined in but our food was served in to go styrofoam boxes and plastic utensils which was annoying when it came to cutting the chicken. BUT the chicken it was seasoned so well and it was so juicy!! The red velvet waffle didn't really taste like much. The Oreo was decent. Next time I would just get a plain waffle tbh. Strawberry kiwi drink was practically sugar. I ended up pour water in it to even out the sweetness. All together it ran us about $38. A bit over priced but I'd go back for the chicken alone.“

“We love the shrimp fried rice, the chicken wings are crispy and fresh, and the cheesesteak subs are fresh and delicious. The bread is soft, and the meat is seasoned well with toppings. We haven't tried the seafood yet, but of the things we have ordered, it's great. The atmosphere is a take out spot with tables and chairs. We just get carry out.“

“I’m a southern girl— moved to Baltimore last year for school. Nothing has made me feel more at home than the food here. Absolutely delicious!! My dad and I both got the catfish bites (mine hot honey glazed, his honey Old Bay) with greens and mac and cheese. Catfish was crispy and well-seasoned. Greens were soft and full of flavor. Mac and cheese was baked with plenty of broiled cheese bits. Fruit Punch tasted homemade and absolutely scrumptious. “I have to give this place props... many of sub shops have came and gone at this location but this is the first I really hope sticks around! A little inconsistent when they first opened but now they are knocking it out of the park. The last several times I've ordered the food has been consistent and delicious. You can tell someone(s) really knows how to cook good food... almost everything I've tried has been at least above average... the fries are awesome and the gravy is delicious. I just had a cheeseburger sub from them for the first time and while it looked weird, it was amazing. Also good to note delivery has always been impressively speedy! Keep up the good work!!“

“Ordered delivery to the TA truck stop, I got the 14" Classic Deluxe Pizza, 10pc mild buffalo wings, and a 2 liter of pepsi. The food did not disappoint. The pizza was made with fresh ingredients, and the onions and green peppers still had some crunch to them, unlike the chain restaurants. The wings were like pringles once you pop the fun dont stop. I devoured them one after the other. They were mild but satisfying if you wanted a little spice. Both people i interacted with were polite, and the driver called me to deliver it to my semi truck. If i stop here again, I'll definitely order from here.“

“Just a quick review. Absolutely LOVE the food. The owners are both incredibly nice people and the food that the owner creates is beyond good. She is so kind and accommodating as to add or remove from the dish any ingredients you don’t like or add any you prefer so long as she has them available. I’ve come to Racer’s for well over 2 decades and always absolutely love the place from the old days of peanut shells on the floors and the old pool table in the back to its current state and the addition of food in my mind is tremendous. Gone is having to stop at Taco Bell or Dominick’s to get food to take there. Now I can get great food to go with the best happy hour and beer selection in Baltimore. Here’s hoping that Red’s remains for a long time.“

“The owners were very friendly and greeted me as soon as I came in. The food was very fresh and cooked swiftly. Everything was reasonably priced and the establishment was very clean. I would recommend this place to anyone that is in the area and wants some fast hot food.“

And the fries ??? they're the amazing seasoned fries. I will say the platter is probably best eaten there since the steam can make the fries a little soggy, but it was good! The spice on the fish isn't hot, so if you're ok with light spiciness (enough for light flavor) then this is good for you without being too spicy.Lamb Gyro: 9/10 the portion was amazing, you definitely get what you pay for here ! We were missing the side of white sauce that we ordered, so that was a bit of a letdown, but nothing major. The lamb is cubed so it's a little different from the Greek style gyros, and the white sauce isn't the same as Greek tzatziki sauce so keep that in mind as well. This is a solid go to if you don't know what to order.Combination rice platter: 10/10 the chicken is moist and a little spicy, it adds a nice flavor to the dish. The lamb cubes are moist, and they put a good amount of meat on the bowl. The basmati rice is just perfect ?. I ordered this with white and green sauce, next time I'll ask for extra sauce, it was just so good!Chopped steak:9/10 we ordered this exactly as it came, it was a little light on the meat, but the flavor was good. I'd get this again. The meat isn't like the usual cheese steak texture, it's finely chopped which makes it blend together beautifully with the toppings and adds a nice mix of textures.Scoop of hummus: 6/10 it was ok, it was lacking something but it wasn't bad, just not a favorite of mine.Side 0 I was so sad about these, they were so hard on the outside, I'm guessing they're made ahead, I'm not sure. The flavor on the inside was amazing, and if they weren't so damn hard then they'd easily be 10/10. Maybe I just got them on an off day , I will try them on a different occasion in hopes that they will be better. I wonder if because of their size being smaller it makes for them being so hard an issue.Side pita:9/10 good, but I like mine a little more crisp and hot, still solid though, just personal preference.All in all we're definitely coming back, I also love that they're open later in the night too ! “With my brother in from Florida we decided to try Costas which I had heard was good for crabs. It turned out to be a great choice…..as I had reserved 1 1/2 dozen of the biggest crabs they had. Perfect seasoning and waitress was in the kitchen as they came out of the steamer. My daughter had the crab cake sandwich which she loved and we started with the clams casino which was also very good. I met Ms. Tasha and Ms. Phaedra, and both ladies provided warm smiles and the highest level of customer service! I had a super sweet cashier named Johnathan who recommend me what sauce to get and while the wings did take a while to come out he apologized for the wait and wished me a good rest of my day. "Classic Buffalo" will be met with confused stares and instructions to look at the board on the wall for correct terminology. Dude could have just been like, cool; what spice level? I assume it was cooked in an open air fryer instead of a pressure fryer.The 2 slices if bread were underneath everything. Not only hiding them, but squishing them too.
