“I bought the non-crumbed topping cherry pie the farmer’s market in Chestertown Sat morning. My husband loves cherry pie. OMG, this is the very BEST cherry pie! It’s tart, not too tart & sweet, not too sweet. The crust is flaky & tasty! I wished we lived nearby to buy more!”

I'm vegan which has its challenges when it comes to navigating menus but Watershed made a vegan plate on the fly which was absolutely amazing. Serving staff was absolutely stellar as well! A 12-course tasting menu highlights caviar from Mississippi sturgeon, Eastern Neck oysters, and fresh produce from across the regions. You will find the menu changes often. The wine pairing is outstanding (says my wife); however, the non-alcoholic selections are treats unto themselves, designed to bring out the flavors of the food. Paul Edward makes the evening enjoyable in the close dining environment for eight as he explains his preparations and why he chose them. Sassafras is on the level of, or exceeds, De Kaas in Amsterdam, which carries a Michelin star. We will dine at Sassafras again.”

“Saw a long line at the Crofton farmers market Saturday and decided whatever is that good, I'm going to need to try it. Really, no lines anywhere else. I waited in line the whole time my friends were seeing the entire rest of the market. It was a bakery, so I wasn't disappointed in my choice. This morning I had a bagel. OMG, the BEST bagel I've ever had! Perfectly chewy and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. And I'm going to say it, it was better than the bagels I had in NY. There. I said it. We also got some hybrid muffin/croissant thing that is absolutely glorious. Excited to try to cookies and focaccia bread we bought. Evergrain bread company knows what they're doing. I will definitely be back. Heading to go follow their page now 🏃‍♀️”

Going out for ice cream is a treat, so we expect to pay $5 for a scoop. It's worth it. It's an outing, so the wait time simply needs to be factored in - it's part of the fun!
