“Love everything about this place!! Food, drinks, and vibes are always amazing! They switch up their coffee and food menu typically every season so you can have som variety. And if you haven’t tried this place in the summer - YOU HAVE TO! Their outdoor patio feels like you’re transported to somewhere other than downtown Biddeford. “Just wanted to share our experience with a wonderful waitress. I’ve ungraciously forgotten her name, but we came in on a very busy Saturday tonight and sat right next to the host stand. She had just finished serving a very large party, and couldn’t have been more kind and upbeat. Making jokes with us, and running around nonstop. Drink refills were instant, food was hot and delicious. It is truly people like this that keep us coming back, she deserves some recognition!“

“The Pilot House came in a very close second to Mabel’s Lobster Claw — and that says a lot! The food here is absolutely delicious. I had the lobster roll with clam chowder, and both were incredible — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. My husband ordered the baked crusted haddock and loved every bite, and my mother-in-law had the fish tacos, which were just as good.

The atmosphere has that classic small-town coastal feel — casual, welcoming, and full of local charm. What makes it even better is the history tied to this place. The building originally stood as part of Kennebunkport’s old railroad era and was later turned around on its lot in the 1970s. It sits beside the Spirit of Massachusetts, a 19th-century schooner that nods to the town’s rich maritime past. Between the amazing food, friendly service, and a little piece of local history, The Pilot House is a spot we’ll absolutely return to. Five stars all the way!“

“How could anybody complain when we’ve just been through a pandemic - We’ve been through a shutdown, many thousands of people have died, schools closed & kids had to learn from home (and then had hybrid learning), many businesses folded & people lost their jobs, the job market changed & people worked from home - Prices went up considerably which made it much harder for some people to get by & many could not make it - I feel that it is remarkable that The River Tap & Grill has done as well as any restaurant out there - Kudos to the owners, the staff & to all the others who have made this possible -“

“This little hole in the wall restaurant was a great surprise. It's a short walk from the main area of OOB and is located right on the beach. The tables are literally set in the sand. Beyond that is dune grass and the ocean. I had the best tacos in my life! They featured cole slaw, pulled chicken and sweet Thai chili sauce. Delicious!“

We went in with a large group and everyone's food came out hot at the same time. The wait staff were all super helpful and patient with a large group and kept the table cleared of dishes at every chance.

“Sebago Brewing Company in Scarborough, ME for a couple pints & a taster of that Maine deliciousness. Having had a decent amount of Sebago Brewing beer over the years, when I realized they were opened on a Monday & just over a hour away, I made the plan immediately. My 201st brewery I have hit so far, but just one of Sebago Brewing's many locations in Maine that include two spots in Gorham & a spot in Kennebunk as well. I was lucky enough to do a five year vertical at a friend's house earlier this year of Sebago's yearly BARLEYWINE series. It included a SINGLE BATCH SERIES - BARLEYWINE - BOURBON BARREL AGED (2020) & the BARLEYWINE (2021-2024) which were all excellent. While here I also scooped a couple 12oz singles to go of the BARLEYWINE (2025) so I can check out this years as well. Enough about barleywine though, let's get into the three beers I had from the tit at the taproom. 🍻🍻🔥☘

I started off with a full pour of the BONFIRE Rye Beer, it was super tasty & drinkable at 5.7%ABV. I then grabbed a pint of the DOUBLE DRIBBLE DIPA, a good solid New England hazy that brought everything the style is expected of. My last pour was a taster of the STRATISFIED IPA, a really good above average American IPA that was filled with grapefruit. 🍻🍻🔥🎅🏆

Like I said before this is one of four Sebago Brewing spots & it had a ton of seating including tables, hightops, booths & plenty of bar seats. There was plenty of beer to go with a few pounder options of their IPA's & the barleywine singles as well. Sebago Brewing has it's roots that go back to the late 90's & was started by three friends who just wanted to have fun drinking good beer. All the water used in brewing their beer comes from the namesake & is pulled from Sebago Lake directly next to the brewery. Definitely looking forward to eventually seeing the other locations in the future when they cross my path, cheers! 🍻☘🔥✌♥️🍺

“We stopped here after my husband a job in Scarborough, and wow… what an incredible surprise. The whole place has that true Maine vibe — cozy, welcoming, and super friendly. Our server Eric was awesome from start to finish. My husband ordered the pork schnitzel and absolutely loved it. I had the butternut squash linguine with prosciutto, roasted squash, arugula, and their homemade crostini bread… incredible. I even saved half so I could enjoy it again another day. Hubby tried two of their 5oz beers (Space Ghost and Santa’s Reinbeer) and enjoyed both. But the show-stealer? The apple crisp cheesecake. 🍎 Hubby took one bite and said, “This is so good it should be outlawed.” And honestly, he wasn’t wrong. It was ridiculous in the best way. We left talking about how we’re glad we live two hours away, because we’d be here every day if we didn’t. Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area. Amazing food, great vibe, great service.“

“We were in Portland for the day, and we had agreed on Longhorns for lunch.
My brother in law had the sirloin steak, done to perfection!
I had the Baked Pork Chop not dried out, actually juicy and loaded baked potato excellent.
My sister had the chicken, again very good.
It was early for lunch, but the service was excellent, our server very attentive, but not overly so.
It was quiet, so we could carry on a conversation, without loosing the conversation.
I would recommend it during off peak hours as I was told by a regular, they can get very busy.“

“Cowbell Scarborough surpasses expectations every time I visit. The servers are friendly, attentive and polite. The food is 95% of the time correct, and if it’s not correct it is quickly resolved. Accountability is always appreciated and in this restaurant it’s certainly valued by the front of house. If you had a poor experience before, I’d recommend trying again!“

“I come specifically to Old Orchard Beach every year just to eat at The Bell Buoy. They serve the best seafood and are very closely located to the pier and beach. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the lobster is a huge selling point. Friendly staff, great food, good service, and a mere walking distance from many of the other attractions. I cannot recommend this place enough, and hope it remains open forever.“

“OMG the waitress was incredible! We had a beer flight and she was out of one beer so she gave us a pumpkin spice with sugar and cinnamon on the rim, it was delicious. I had the Maine sampler (lobster roll, clam chowder, fries and blueberry cobbler)and hubby had the fish and chips. Both were delicious and we enjoyed the view of the boats docked while we ate. “I was told by my brother who visits Kennebunkport often that we had to go to federal jacks for lunch. You have to walk down a small street and when you think you’re going up the steps to the front door that entrance is blocked and the signage wasn’t very clear, but we found stairs on the water side of the building which took us into the restaurant. We were seated right away and had a very nice waitress named Phoebe. I had a turkey BLT (very filling) with a side of macaroni and cheese and a cup of clam chowder (delicious.) My husband had the fish and chips which he said was very good. The day we were, there was very rainy and overcast, but the views from our seat were wonderful.“

“We went here on a Sunday evening and the beach was hopping so it was nice they have seat yourself and large group tables. The waitress was busy but attentive. They had a live band playing some really fun tunes. The food was, fine. I got the lobster roll with lemon aioli, and it was disappointing they barely put any of the aioli on it because it was delicious. My kids were happy with their food. Overall a great place to eat outside on the beach.“
