“Layered up to eat outside dining. Everything was wonderful. Fresh air, unobstructed views and excellent experience with all.
Briann got us started with beverages. Kabir reserved our food order and off we went to the great outdoor dining area.
The Globe Dining is next, as we will return.“

“Surf was recommended as a place to try while we were in Portsmouth. It turned out to be a great choice. We arrived for an early dinner (5 pm) and were able to get a window table with a beautiful view of the harbor. My wife and I shared a house salad with sesame vinaigrette dressing, a bowl of clam chowder, and the roasted haddock with lobster mashed potatoes. Every dish exceeded our expectations. The roasted haddock really stood out- it was cooked perfectly with a butter/cornichon pan sauce and a surprising amount of lobster in the mashed potatoes. Our server did an excellent job. This restaurant is highly recommended. They do not take reservations.“

“Consistently the best. Inside seating at picnic type tables can get crowded in the summertime, but is a welcome spot in the chilly and changeable weather in the spring. Outside order window makes it convenient if you want to sit down outside and enjoy the ambiance of Perkins Cove.“

“I’m from the Boston area and was meeting a friend in Portsmouth for dinner. We picked Durbar Square and we’re definitely not disappointed. We had an absolutely fabulous meal there. The chicken chili was a delicious, and a different approach than any chili I’ve had before. The chicken was perfect cooked. The sauce was full of flavor. They also ask you to pick yours spice range from 1-10 so you can choose what suits you best. The owner, John, is totally engaged with his customers and if you want, can even demonstrate a yoga pose or 2 (which he is very good at). Just overall a great place to eat.“

“This is a cute family friend cafe. The food was good but the bagel and lox I ordered had pretty much no cream cheese on it and the bagel was not good quality at all. I did ask for more cream cheese and the waitress gave me some. The staff was very friendly. We all thought it was odd however, that they didn’t have pancakes on the menu. That just doesn’t make sense for a breakfast cafe.“

“Got introduced to “That Place” by Friends last night for my Birthday 🥳 We had dinner there and I am so very happy that we did…the food was excellent and of high quality! We had several different appetizers and 3 main meals, and dessert…everything was absolutely delicious and the service was great as well 😊 Can highly recommend “That Place” you will not be disappointed, I guarantee you will love it 😍“

“Third year update - this place continues to delight and amaze! Tried the butter toffee cake, equally great. All the pizzas are spectacular.
This is the second year in a row we had an early dinner here, and once again it was amazing.
All the dishes have a special touch to them, something unique and delectable.
The pizzas are spectacular, with wood fired char on the crust. The sandwiches are equally wonderful, each with perfectly balanced spices.
My special of the day spicy martini was one of the best I ever tasted, potent yet eminently drinkable.
The desserts are out of this world, especially the brownie sundae.
The service was terrific as well. Can't recommend this place highly enough!
Looking forward to next year!

We ordered hey guy burger and the fish tacos with hot fries, best food I have had in the states, coming from a Peruvian, I am super picky with flavor and this place did not disappoint. I had to do take out because they dont allow pets, so if you come with your doggie there is a park next to it where you can have a picnic“

“I never write reviews but this place is AMAZING! My mom & I stopped in for crepes, we had a sweet one and a savory one and also a tart and vanilla ice coffees. Everything was perfection and tasted great! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, the atmosphere very nice. “The cleanest hotel I have ever had!! perfect view, balcony and all. Premium feel, great value, mini fridge, premium coffee maker, water pot, compost and recycling, new linen, brand new towels and blankets. Receptionist was polite, staff were cordial and warming. “First time for hot pot, my 11yr kept asking do it so it became a birthday thing . Staff took us though it all, checked on us the right amount of times and really like sharing their know how. Food was above expected and they have a full menu also. Dinner for 3 with 2 drinks, 3 apps and 2 entrees with extra side just climbed over $100. Go there and be happy!“

“Love this place, great Thai food with extremely friendly people working here. Big fan of their duck and beef noodle soups, they also have a special one going so check for that on FB page. Usually get drunken noodles also if even to eat next day. The appetizer platter is great as well. Also the Para garden is awesome if you like peanut sauce. Curries are very good as well. Haven't disliked anything actually. Thai ice teas great too!“
