“Our party of three went for a late lunch recently and the service was absolutely wonderful! The food was the best we've had recently in Maine. Many of the other restaurants were low quality with a "seaside tax" built into the menu, but Harborside did not disappoint! We sampled the fresh (caught yesterday!) seared tuna, fried haddock sandwich, tuna roll (the rice was seasoned to perfection!) and an amazingly delicious club sandwich! You could tell the kitchen puts lots of care into everything they do, and our host and server were excellent! The team working yesterday was also seamless - Many people were going around delivering food and clearing plates in a timely manner. We cannot wait to go back and 100% recommend eating here!“
“Lobster, clam, corn, potatoes are so good. Beautiful sights!“

“My husband and I were on vacation and wanted to try oysters for the first time. It was amazing! The staff was wonderful and told us what we needed to know about having oysters and described the difference between the oysters they had. The whole experience was the perfect way to end our stay in Bath.“

“Fish, Fish, Fish, Fish, Lobster too!“
“I’ve lived in Maine for 59 years and have eaten a lot of Maine raised steamers. Hands down, these folks have the best, consistently, to be bought anywhere! I highly recommend them. The purging and the size separation put them over the top. Reasonably priced too!“

“Vacationing in Boothbay, and at the top of our favorite restaurants is Ports of Italy, this place is not to be missed if you love Italian cuisine. Very popular with the locals and the tourists, be smart and make a reservation, especially over the weekend so you will not be disappointed. They are open 7 days a week 4:30-8:00. We had an early reservation and was taken to our table and immediately approached by our waiter, given water, he told us the specials and gave us time to look over the menu. We received a paper bag of warm, delicious rustic bread and olive oil dipping sauce, so good. After ordering, our food arrived in a timely fashion right from the kitchen. I ordered the veal ravioli in a mushroom cream sauce, let me tell you my choice was just delicious and very rich and filling. Husband ordered Osso Buco sitting on top of a rich broth and risotto, what a great presentation and my husband enjoyed it tremendously! Our waiter was very attentive to us and good at his job. The busboys were so nice and took good care of our needs. This place is a cut above the rest and they are popular and have a cult following!! Highly recommend coming here, a little pricey but so worth the experience. Bob and Debbie/ Mich“

“Food was good I give it a 7.5/10. Lobster roll was good but about $38 plus tax.“
“Four of us ate dinner at the Thistle Inn on Columbus Day weekend and it was spectacular! A+ for the service, atmosphere and food. Our four entrees were amazing.
The Cioppino was perfectly cooked. Our lamb shank was braises to perfection. The daily special, Balckened Salmon, was spicy, moist and delicious. I had the Sirloin Tips which were awesome.
Take the time and make the trip. You will not be disappointed.“
“Jim and I would like to thank the staff at Browns Wharf Inn for another wonderful stay. We have stayed here many times and are never disappointed. The staff is warm and friendly and go overboard to accommodate our needs. The continental breakfast is great and the view unparalleled. We cannot thank you enough for my great birthday stay again.“

“When we are in town, we always go to J R Maxwells. Been coming here for 31 years and this used to be our favorite place and still is in Bath Maine. Was always a date night for us 31 years ago now we go because we love the atmosphere, the decor and the food.“

“Parking: Boothbay is a very touristy town. Because the business is basically on it's own pier, it's best to head for the paid parking lot down by The Fisherman's Wharf.
Wheelchair accessibility: I expected to have some trouble, however.... Once you are in the building, there is another, longish, ramp that you need to go up to get to the tables. If you don't have a motor you might want the help of a friend. Though the person at the podium, did offer his help, any way that he could. The bathroom for? is a little difficult to get out of the bathroom. Not bad going into it. There are 2 stalls. The furthest back is some what accessable. I think it needs more rails. The area is big enough to turn account in if your chair is manual. Except for a 1' ish spare at the top of the stalls. The door and wall are solid and no one can peek under. The sinks aren't the "roll under" kind. You can roll next to wash your hands. I just bring my hand sanitizer bottle everywhere so I don't worry about not reaching the sink. And I don't have to use/hear the hand dryers.“
“We were scheduled for a schooner ride and had a late lunch here. The schooner cruise was cancelled due to fog but our experience at the restaurant was so pleasant that we didn't mind. The food and drink was very good and our waiter, Andre, was attentive without being intrusive and made our experience quite pleasant. This place is quite close to Boothbay Harbor but not nearly as crowded. We will be back!“

“Spectacular doesn’t begin to describe our experience at Grey Havens Inn! From the moment we arrived, the magnificent harbor view beckoned us to sit in a big ol’ rocking chair on the Inn’s lovely porch, cocktail in hand & relax completely into the moment. Oh & sunsets? Outstanding! Our first moments at Grey Havens were so warm & welcoming. Actually even before arriving, calls with innkeepers, Ali & Carlos, had us beyond excited for our initial stay. I say initial because of course we definitely will return & soon I hope! I could list endlessly all the delightful elements that the Grey Havens team have combined to create a place in which one can truly & gloriously unwind. From the lovely & cozy guest rooms to the gorgeous bay-windowed common room (with its stunning actual bay-view) the vibe is marvelous. Grey Havens feels quintessentially seaside Maine with just the barest but perfect touch of some lovingly placed & demure whimsy to intrigue a curious eye. Our initial stay dates did not overlap with Blue’s calendar, sadly. However the many tales we heard of Chef Esau’s creations have us drooling in anticipation. We will ensure we enjoy a dinner at Blue upon our return to Grey Havens.“
