“While staying at a nearby hotel, we ordered Portland Pie Co for pickup. It was ready within 20 minutes on a Friday night, which was great! The building and interior was very modern, and it smelled amazing inside!

We ordered to the chicken nachos and chicken broccoli alfredo for dinner, and loved both meals. You could taste the ingredients were fresh and made to order. Also, the portions are HUGE, and we felt the price was pretty competitive based on the quality and portion sizes! We'll be back on our next Portland trip!“

“OTTO offers a clean, trendy eating experience with local beers on tap. The staff during my visit was incredibly friendly and the service was quick. I decided to go with the Margherita pie - which turned out to be a great decision. The pie featured an ultra-thin base that was browned nicely by the oven. The fresh, juicy tomatoes were well distributed and did not slide when eating slices. The crisp exterior on the thin crust added a great crunch. The fresh basil ribbons and the spicy herb blend added to the cheese carried a ton of flavor. There are many other pizza options available at OTTO, including gluten-free and vegan options. I will definitely be returning so that I can work my way through the rest of the pizza menu.

“As I lifelong fan of Amato’s Italian Sandwiches. I love their food. My only minor issue is the accuracy in filling the order. The last two times I have used the Falmouth location the sandwiches have either had a peppers that I didn’t order or left off the tomatoes that I ordered. The orders were placed on the kiosk and the correct order was on the receipt. I will still keep eating their sandwiches but will continue to be annoyed at the errors.“

The staff was so welcoming and quick to take care of us, which made the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable right from the start. The food was absolutely delicious—cooked perfectly, beautifully plated, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. The portion sizes were just right: generous without being overwhelming. Ihad herd many negative comments about the pizzas atthe ball field. So i went straightto order at Portland House! when i got to ball field i shared it with a couple who had just thrown the ball field pizza away as it was awful. “If you know, you know. Amato's is one of the quintessential sandwich shops in Maine, and as a born-and-raised local, there really is nothing like it, as they proport in their slogan. When living out of state, every time I came home to visit, my first stop was for a Real Italian, a Moxie, and Humpty Dumpty All Dressed chips.

I've had a generic review here for years, but I needed to update it after this weekend. It was a busy Friday, I was on my way home from work and picking up an order my wife had placed for the whole family. I didn't have the order details, and so some of this was certainly my oversight, but when I arrived home, a sandwich was missing, and another was generously lacking in vegetables, though I would only learn this last bit on the drive back to the store.

Upon explaining the situation, no less than three staff members jumped to fix the situation, finding the lost sandwich, remaking the other, and additionally providing me with a quart-sized soup/salad container of freshly sliced veggies, just to make sure that we had all we needed. The customer service was - in a word - exceptional. I had even proclaimed that this was not enough to sour me as a customer, and they still insisted on going above and beyond.

Thank you again to the Amato's South Portland staff. You made our evening.“
