“my boyfriend and I are visiting from boston for new years and chose this as our NYE dinner spot, and it did not disappoint! I honestly wasn’t expecting much out of this place, but my expectations were surpassed. the vibe was really nice with all of the mood lighting, the staff was super friendly, and the food was delicious (& i’m not even huge on seafood). we got the carne asada fries, chipotle chicken, and fish tacos - all of which were so good. only gripe is that I reserved a “lounge” table and was seated at a tiny high top. other than that it was a great experience“

“We wandered in today and sat at the bar. We were so impressed with both the service and the food. The bartender was cordial, friendly, and extremely attentive. We had a flatbread that was absolutely delicious and chicken, bacon ranch salad with house made ranch that was exceptional. Closer than any. We don’t have a flatbread company near our home sure wish we did.“

“While staying at a nearby hotel, we ordered Portland Pie Co for pickup. It was ready within 20 minutes on a Friday night, which was great! The building and interior was very modern, and it smelled amazing inside!

We ordered to the chicken nachos and chicken broccoli alfredo for dinner, and loved both meals. You could taste the ingredients were fresh and made to order. Also, the portions are HUGE, and we felt the price was pretty competitive based on the quality and portion sizes! We'll be back on our next Portland trip!“

“Moved to Gray recently , was asking around about pizza, as I grew up in NY and we eat it 3 days a week down there . Anyway , I ordered a plain cheese pizza the first time I went, and that was so good I just did the same tonight. Very close to NY style pizza, more specifically long island pizza where I grew up.. They definitely put some good stuff in their dough as it is seriously on another level of anywhere else I been in 13 years in Maine . And it being a HOP, looking forward to getting the Gyro next!!“

“I got the Greek Pizza last night. 10 in size which is the only size. Had it to go and once I got to it for eating it was delicious. Cost about $17 which at first I thought was a lot. But it is worth the money for me. When you park there please don't park behind the building, that is for employees. I found out by having a unpleasant talk with the manager/owner. Ihad herd many negative comments about the pizzas atthe ball field. The locals and are very welcoming and great at recommending things from the menu. The owners are wonderful for the community with all the events and groups they have donated for. “As I lifelong fan of Amato’s Italian Sandwiches. I love their food. My only minor issue is the accuracy in filling the order. The last two times I have used the Falmouth location the sandwiches have either had a peppers that I didn’t order or left off the tomatoes that I ordered. The orders were placed on the kiosk and the correct order was on the receipt. I will still keep eating their sandwiches but will continue to be annoyed at the errors.“

“If you know, you know. Amato's is one of the quintessential sandwich shops in Maine, and as a born-and-raised local, there really is nothing like it, as they proport in their slogan. When living out of state, every time I came home to visit, my first stop was for a Real Italian, a Moxie, and Humpty Dumpty All Dressed chips.

I've had a generic review here for years, but I needed to update it after this weekend. It was a busy Friday, I was on my way home from work and picking up an order my wife had placed for the whole family. I didn't have the order details, and so some of this was certainly my oversight, but when I arrived home, a sandwich was missing, and another was generously lacking in vegetables, though I would only learn this last bit on the drive back to the store.

Upon explaining the situation, no less than three staff members jumped to fix the situation, finding the lost sandwich, remaking the other, and additionally providing me with a quart-sized soup/salad container of freshly sliced veggies, just to make sure that we had all we needed. The customer service was - in a word - exceptional. I had even proclaimed that this was not enough to sour me as a customer, and they still insisted on going above and beyond.
