“Allards makes the best calzones ever! Every time we have gotten them, they are by far superior than any place else. Always fully loaded with tasty ingredients! We don’t do take out often but when we do it’s allards! Anyways! Last night we got an order for delivery. Usually the hubby orders it but he was still driving home so he had me order it. I’m thinking it may have been poor reception on my part but everything in our order was once again perfect except one calzone... mine. Well by the time we got the food in the house and looked it over and I had realized the mistake, the store was closed for the night. I couldn’t eat mine because it had an item I was allergic to. I had ordered it without but didn’t specify my allergy like the hubby usually does so it was definitely my bad there. So I called the next morning and explained what had happened and asked if I could exchange the wrong one for a correct one. As a good business does, they apologized and made it right 100%. Even told me to keep the other one which the kids will love for leftovers! I appreciated the respectful conversation and whomever I spoke with was completely awesome! If you were the owner, you are fabulous! If it was an employee, you deserve a bonus!!!! I will continue recommending allards and definitely plan on letting everyone I know what a pleasure it is getting takeout/delivery from the best place around!!! Five stars all the way!“

“The pizza is UNBELIEVABLY delicious! My boyfriend and I got a small Meatball Margherita and Hard Cider BBQ as well as some Gelato, all reasonably priced. The crust is so yummy, the toppings were perfect, I honestly can't remember the last time I had pizza THIS good. We have 100+ mile drive home and I know the leftovers won't survive the ride 😂“

“We had dinner at When Pigs Fly Restaurant & Pizzeria in York, ME with a large group of 12, and the entire experience was outstanding. Despite the size of our party, everything was handled smoothly and professionally.

A special shoutout to Daniella, who provided exceptional service throughout the evening. She was friendly, attentive, organized, and made sure everyone in our group was well taken care of from start to finish.

Our table shared several pizzas, and every one of them arrived perfectly prepared, hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. While most of the group enjoyed the pizza, I decided to be the odd man out and ordered the blackened salmon sandwich with fries. It was excellent—the salmon was cooked perfectly with great seasoning, and the fries were a perfect complement.

Whether you’re dining with family, friends, or a large work group, this is a fantastic place to enjoy a meal. The food, atmosphere, and service all exceeded expectations. “This place is one of my sinful, secret pleasures. Though not health food by any stretch, it's imaginative array of home-cooked meals and indulgent desserts, mostly Italian pastries, make this restaurant/diner/service station well worth the half-day trek from and back to our home in midcoast Maine.

“Every year we stop here to get the steak sub with onions and peppers and we are very pleased every time. The bread is the softest we had. Not sure if the two guys are thee owners but very pleasant. Tucked away right next to the pool, this spot was exactly what I needed—a laid-back escape from the downtown hustle and bustle of Kennebunkport. I was initially confused about how to get in (thought I was lost for a second!), but once I found it, I knew I’d discovered something special.

Plenty of shady spots to lounge, a great indoor-outdoor vibe, and seriously relaxing poolside energy. A lot of games for kids. The menu hits all the right notes—classic food and drink options that are comforting and satisfying.

The real highlight? Kayla, the bartender. She was an absolute joy! Super friendly, attentive, and full of great local recs. Her service was top-notch, and she made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. We chatted, laughed, and I left already looking forward to coming back.
