“It was a cold & windy walk home when i passed by Standard Baking Co and decided a hot coffe was needed. Of course, who could pass up a cookie or brownie to go along. I decided on the Raspberry Gallette and I am now addicted!!!! I either need to find an alternate route home...or add another 2 miles to walk off the extra calories! Thank you Standard Baking Co to finding the right the right reward for me keeping my new year resolution to add more activity to my day!“

“Awesome breakfast sandwiches! By far the best breakfast I had in New England. A true Portland hidden gem.“

“I visited ZuBakery 4 times in a row while visiting Portland this week. This bakery places a strong emphasis on the quality of the dough and their efforts are well reflected in the wonderful texture of the bread and sweet smell of yeast.
The apple galette is phenomenal. The apples on top are beautifully caramelized and not soggy (!). The crust is the best part and it is perfect; light and crunchy, but yet retains its structure and texture.
I had their ham and cheese croissant and it is excellent. This is not a butter heavy (I am sure a lot of butter goes in here, but you know what I mean) croissant where everything is impossibly buttery. And no, this is a not an airpocket filled croissant (horror) with a rockhard (or) sad droopy shell.
The outer shell is light and crispy. The quality of the dough really shines in the inner layers of the croissant-- the flavor of the dough comes forward and it is so delightful. Ham and cheese are generously added, and they are of a good quality.
Currant scone.. wasn't my favorite. Too dry.
Challah (Fridays only) was very good. It is dense (as it should) and the texture is on point. Flavor-wise, it is not sweet at all. (Personally, I like slightly sweeter challah).
If I had more time in Portland, I would have tried out their fresh baguettes... maybe next time.
Lastly, what the other reviewers say is true. They sell out quickly.. within 30min of the bakery opening time, crowd favorites are gone.“

“Eighty-8 donuts catered a sweet breakfast the morning after our wedding at French’s Point in Stockton Springs, ME. Despite a cold November morning, they were absolutely amazing and our guests loved the hot and fresh mini donuts and coffee we sent them off with. They even had to-go boxes prepared so our friends and family could bring their favorite flavors home. This was the perfect way to end our wedding weekend! 10/10 would highly recommend their food truck for any event or large gathering, it was such a hit!“

“I was excited to try a new breakfast sandwich but unfortunately it was a letdown. I got the sausage egg and cheese which came on a bland biscuit-muffin hybrid that had a strange texture. The sausage and cheddar cheese didn’t have much flavor and the whole thing was overpowered by a sauce that tasted like Japanese mayo. The slight sweetness of the roll and sauce with the lack of any other flavor made it hard to finish. I also got a muffin which was fine. Looking at other reviews and realizing everything is gluten free makes a lot more sense now, so I won’t disparage the muffin. It’s cool that people who need that sort of thing have an option but it’s not for me.“

“Ordered a Peanut Butter pie for a coworkers birthday and it was one of the best pies I’ve ever ordered! Delicious and will definitely be ordering again! My office ate the whole thing within 3 hours of bringing it into the office. Thank you for the yummy pie!“

“Amazing cakes! This was my first time ordering from Two Fat Cats. I ordered a chocolate chocolate cake for my son’s birthday and everyone was really impressed! Flavorful and perfectly sweet (but not too sweet) frosting and dense, melt in your mouth cake. Highly recommend!“
“Delicious caramel pecan praline bun: multi-textured and not too heavy, despite the ample size. Great customer service to boot, super friendly! Perfect treat after walking the back cove! And supporting a great cause— win, win!“
“Do NOT question what a whoopie ball is… just go get yourself one… or many!! It’s whoopie pie meets chocolate candy goodness. Do not walk here…. RUN here 🍫😳🤤❤️🏃♀️“
“We ordered the whoopie pies for our wedding and they were amazing (and heart shaped!)! We had several guests who had celiac disease and several who had a gluten intolerance. B+B was perfect and I am so glad our GF guests had a cake option they could eat without worrying! It was absolutely delicious! All of our gluten free friends kept coming up to us to say how much they loved them! Thank you B+B!!“
