it was an absolutely amazing experience. It was my partners first time there but I knew the food was going to be good, but the people that work there are truly a step above the rest. The duck isn’t the only thing that’s going to be fat after you dine here! The food was amazing. The biggest highlight was the duck fat poutine, and it’s totally worth adding the fried egg and the duck confit on top! The duck fat milkshakes were thick, creamy and so delicious. The ONLY reason I didn’t give the atmosphere 5 stars is because the inside has the stools fixed to the floor and you can’t move them, which makes it very hard for a larger individual to sit anywhere...read full review

Duckfat Frites Shack is a popular spot known for its delicious frites and wide variety of sauces, including a 5 sauce sampler. Their frites are a standout, with many customers loving the different sauces. The restaurant also offers tomato soup, grilled cheese, and the Green Goddess salad. The lobster roll is highly recommended. The poutine was good but super salty. The fried chicken is well seasoned and the homemade lemonade was good. The clam chowder was especially good. The donut poppers with caramel sauce are an unquestionably unique experience. This is a walk up window with a few tables, but the bar next-door will allow you to bring food in. It is a great little spot to chill on a quite corner with great atmosphere and is a must stop on any excursion to Portland.
