“Hands down the best seafood I’ve had in Maine, and I’ve eaten at plenty of places up and down the coast. Everything that came out of that kitchen tasted like it had been pulled from the water that morning. Even the simple sides were done right.

“We recently had two visits. My first meal of fried clams-delicious. On our second visit we had a lobster roll. Stay away from them. Absolutely awful. I’m a Maine gal and this was the worst lobster roll ever. Sterns- you can do better, especially at 38$ !!“

“I come specifically to Old Orchard Beach every year just to eat at The Bell Buoy. They serve the best seafood and are very closely located to the pier and beach. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the lobster is a huge selling point. Friendly staff, great food, good service, and a mere walking distance from many of the other attractions. I cannot recommend this place enough, and hope it remains open forever.“

“We've eaten at Rick's numerous times over the past 3 years and we've had delicious, fresh, haddock, scallops and clams every time!! The reason the atmosphere is a 5 star is because it's great to walk along the pier, grab food from Rick's, and then sit on the tables or benches along the center of the pier area. The fried food is cooked to perfection with a nice light colored batter suggesting they change their oil often. We recommend Rick's.“

“We just left there after having the fried whole belly clams. Absolutely delicious! It’s the cutest place to hang out and have some great seafood. The staff is friendly too! We had gone to another(big)place in the area the night before and we were very disappointed . Luckily we found the Salty Bay! today! I love the seating out back with the beautiful view and the Tavern on site where they serve drinks is great. Nice set up! We’ll be back!“

“Absolutely loved the vibe, service, and food. Our server was on his very first day and his coworker was so helpful to him in answering our questions. Their teamwork was great. We sat upstairs at lunchtime and the vibe and decor, including fish shaped water bottles, was perfect as were the views.

We were a table of 4 and all the food was great including coconut shrimp, chowder, fried fish sandwich, baked haddock, and more. We didn’t have drinks but we could see delicious cocktails being served at the bar. We will definitely plan to come back here again and again!

When I got my wisdom teeth removed, this place basically ensured that I ate a filling meal. Personally, this restaurant is my comfort spot and I look forward to always coming here. I normally get the pho and the spring rolls, and I've ordered it enough that the staff is starting to remember my order 😅“

“Happy Dragon is our favorite Chinese food in the area. It took a number of different restaurants before we discovered it. My family from Florida (8 of us) ate there and EVERYONE loved it. Servings are large, prices are fair, and lower sodium. The item in my picture is a C6.“

“Decent place for dinner. Nice, fun patio and love music. The ahi tuna App was good but would have been perfect if it wasn’t drenched in so much sauce. I got the Cajun fish tacos and they were way too seasoned and salty I could not finish them. Also they were kinda made upside down which made them hard to eat. There was slaw on the bottom, then fish then salsa. I switched to put the fish on the bottom. Easier to eat. My husband got the steak tips they were great and the mashed potatoes without the sauce. We don’t like sauce on our steak. Service was good too.“

“My girlfriend and I popped into OOB for a long weekend off season and GFB was the place to be. Live open mic blues night rocked our socks off with some serious talent including the likes of renowned guitarist Mike Hayward. Megs behind the bar remembered our drinks immediately and treated us with the best service around. The owners sat at the bar and we chatted music and fun stories of our pasts. We even stumbled in the following night for karaoke! Definitely the best dive in OOB!“

“Best part: If you squeeze in between the desk and chair, you can sit on the floor right next to the (floor to ceiling) window, and it's like sitting on the edge of a cliff looking out over the Turnpike. The noise level is well-controlled, and it's quite peaceful looking at cars and trucks roll by from six stories high. Needs to be high room on the back of the West tower for this effect. Quietest a/c / air system in any hotel I've stayed in, and the controls were pretty legible. Bed was comfy and slept well. Some mystery spots on the coverlet. If you're a DIY type, take along a scraper and some paint and you can fix the peeling paint in the bathroom. Stay away from the breakfast, if you're not used to a mass-market diet, either way you'll do just as well at McDonald's. 'Fridge is useful if you want to lightly freeze things. If you want the good ol' days of a freshly-made bed every day, get on it immediately. We waited til day 3, and despite obediently ordering 24 hrs in advance, chaos still ruled when we returned at 6 pm. The same fellow running check-in eventually arrived with a few towels; we decided he was probably running the whole place on his own that night.“
