“Only been a few times but every time I'm blown away at how good the food is. The biscuits and muffins have the most amazing texture. The hot chocolate tastes homemade with frothed milk. Bacon and eggs are super high quality and cooked to perfection. The service was fantastic; very friendly. They even took care to let the chef know about my daughters celiac for her gluten free breakfast sandwich and marked it right on the container for us. Highly recommend!!!!“

The Clam Strips here aren't razor clams, but were DELICIOUS!

“We took a chance and stopped here for dinner. Absolutely delicious!!! I'm not much of a "drinker" and I didn't want anything too strong or sweet. I wish I remembered the name of the drink but it had white sangria and blood orange flavor. It was perfect. I got the eggplant sandwich and it was a 10/10. Highly recommend!“

“What a fun time! We were visiting Freeport and stopped in for dinner and drinks. My husband had a beer flight and he said all his choices were great and I had hard cider. They have seltzers and some cocktails in cans for us non-beer drinkers-thank you! We both had the burrito bowl for dinner, which was delicious. I have celiac and it was great to be able to have food and drinks at a brewery. My husband is also a veteran so it warms our hearts to support veteran owned businesses. We loved that we could pay it forward and "Buy a Vet a beer". What a wonderful idea! They have quite a few games available to play while you are hanging out. We sat at a big table, played cribbage, sipped our drinks and had dinner. It was a perfect, relaxing evening. Thank you Stars & Stripes Brewing! We will be back the next time we are in Freeport!“

“we make it a point to stop at this restaurant every year when we visit Maine. We learned this year that in November 2023 they had a fire at the restaurant. Since then the restaurant has been renovated, including a new head chef and a new name “Harpswell Schoolhouse”. Most of the staff is the same, professional and extremely detail oriented. The food was fabulous, excelling the great dishes of years past. The service is in the European style, that is to say it is not hurried. We highly recommend this upscale restaurant, it’s a gem!“

Although customer service isn’t great, nobody answers the phone when we call even though they are open and today (Sunday) says there opened 12-6 but when we went there on our lunch break they were closed!! Very unfortunate because we would spend a lot more money there if we could count on the hours and people working there to answer their phones and open the window when someone is standing right there.“

“Followed a recommendation and so glad we did. It was extremely hard to choose from all the baked goods and sandwiches. The avocado toast panini, roasted brussels with bacon, and peanut butter chocolate cupcake made the final cut and they were awesome!“
