“Great, vegan pizza! Not all pizza parlors carry vegan cheese, but Portland Pie does. And it is so good. I do miss their whole wheat crusts; I really liked them, but I guess there wasn’t enough demand. But this is still absolutely fabulouspizza.

“Bittersweet to be writing this review as I will not be able to go here again due to them closing. Glad I was able to make one more stop here once we saw they announced the closure. Fond memories of slab from great beer events held during Maine Beer Week years ago. Along those lines, you could always count on a great taplist with beers from Maine and further. This was a favorite spot of my wife and I to grab some slab style pizza with a brew. Their thin crust pizzas were solid as well, but my favorite food option here has always been the meatball sandwich. It seems to be tough times for many Portland restaurants so if you have favorites spots go out and support them! Thanks for all the memories slab!“

“We had our first Angelo’s pizza tonight. It was a Carbonara pizza and it was fabulous! It was the best pizza I have had in a long time. Delicious and cooked to perfection, NOT over cooked! We loved the crust, thin-ish but not flat bread thin with a nice rim, not 1/2 the slice! Thank you, delicious! We will be back, for sure!!“

So much so there are no leftovers, and the portions are not small…there was a basil leaf in the sauce, and that is a sure sign this is homemade sauce. “We were pleasantly surprised at how great the pizza was here. Had just got in from driving up to portland and didn’t really want to go out somewhere for dinner, so we stopped here. The pizza was fantastic. We got two smalls, the squash ricotta and cranberry, and a mashed potato bacon and scallion.

On paper, these do not sound like they would work on a pizza, but wow. Crust was still crunchy, and the flavors really worked together.

Since I now live out of the state, I now enjoy bringing friends here when I return.I know they have a great, broad menu of items and you could pick a winner with any of them, but man - I've always been in love with The Old Port - a simple pepperoni pizza. Everything about it has been consistently "just right" over the years (ratio of ingredients to one another, doughiness, overall flavor). “I stopped in to pick up an online order that my wife had placed. I love the monitor that shows the stage your order is currently in process. I asked an employee if i could add lava cakes to my order and the counter person said based on where my order was at it would be done two to five minutes after the original order would be completed. She then asked if that would be okay. I thanked her for giving me that information and ordered the desserts . It is very, very busy night. With a lot of orders coming in online and through the door with walk in orders. All the staff were amazing with how they were working as a team in their stations. I apologize for saying this as I did not ask her name a young girl to me red-haired woman was coordinating the team members. Even in the high pressure and fast pace she was calmly coordinating things with her staff and the delievery driver. She was making sure that all orders and requests by customers today were being met in a very timely manner. She was talking with her team to ensure the quality checks were being done on the food, and all the sauces and extras were included in each order.
It was extremely, impressive to see such a high-functioning team coordinated by someone who obviously does their job at an extremely high level. She was overseeing all aspects of the business from her quality control position as order expeditor. She was engaged with the Delivery driver about orders, the counter person if they had questions, talkimg to each of her staff at each of their station when they needed a questioned answered or to ccodinate with them about orders. I received my initial order and then 3 minutes later, they coordinated my desserts to me and I was out the door.
All the team members did a great job and the calm. cool, coordination from the young girl redheaded woman. Absolutely, made the difference. That is a high function team that producesa very good product and extremely efficiently.
I thanked them when I was there and I'd like to thank them online. They did an amazing job on my order. And we're doing amazing work on everyone's order. There were 3 people that were waiting for their online order to be finished near me and all of them commented about the young red headed woman saying that anytime that they've been in there, she is always been on task and always been customer friendly. That's very high praise that people are willing to share with strangers, when they're waiting for their food to be completed. Very positive comments about what they have observed.

“As I lifelong fan of Amato’s Italian Sandwiches. I love their food. My only minor issue is the accuracy in filling the order. The last two times I have used the Falmouth location the sandwiches have either had a peppers that I didn’t order or left off the tomatoes that I ordered. The orders were placed on the kiosk and the correct order was on the receipt. I will still keep eating their sandwiches but will continue to be annoyed at the errors.“

We were trying to save money and there wasn't any good food in the portion of Boston we were at for a concert so on the way back we ordered some pizza and some brownies. “Great local pizza spot! I highly recommend getting their pizza with bacon and meatball. Their meatball sandwich is also very good. There are many "create your own" pizza options as well with different doughs, sauce and toppings. There are TVs to watch sports in the bar area as well. On weekends and evenings it can get crowded with wait times, but overall, it is a good place to eat at or take out.
