“Exceptional in every aspect imaginable when dining out in in a quintessential, old New England woodland setting. From driving up to the front door and being greeted by the estate's premier valet, to being warmly welcomed into the interior of the dining area by the evening's host, the stage was immediately set for what was a very enjoyable evening. For dinners, I had the Turkey Croquettes with Cranberry aloli and rich gravy as did my husband. He followed his appetizer with a robust portion of Beets and Buratta salad that included mixed greens, spiced pecans and topped with a traditional New England Maple balsamic vinaigrette. For our entrees I chose the Stuffed Acorn Squash served with an ample portion of Almond-Cranberry rice. of note: I declined the the Curried apple chutney that was offered with this dish.) My husband swooned over his choice of an entree, the Grilled Statler Chicken Breast. He reported it being Grilled tonPerfection. It came with a Herbed veloute sauce, Sour Cream and Chive Mashed potatoes and his favorite snipped green beans. He savored every morsel. For drinks I enjoyed my traditional New England Prosecco and Cranberry Cocktail garnished with frozen Ocean Spray cranberries and a McCormick cinnamon stick while my husband sipped on his usual Aviation Cocktail. The pianist offered holiday selections very appropriate for the holiday season. The entire staff was professional, knowledgeable about their menu offerings and cocktail and wine listings. They were also very friendly and engaging. Reservations are a must especially during the holidays, but also on Weekends, Friday Saturday, and Sunday all year through as it is an extremely popular restaurant destination for Maine and New Hampshire residents.“

“Came in in a wintry Friday night, with wait about 30 minutes. We had the Portuguese stew, clam chowder, lobster Kristina. The food was tasty but not exceptional as far as seafood, though NE clam chowder was better than most I’ve had but this is New England so it should be! The ambiance and old town setting was remarkable although missed views of the harbor/water at night. The waitress was great, super friendly but not ever present - just right. Prices were a touch high but this is NH. Overall a lovely experience and recommend“

“This place is great! Tasty burgers - I had beef and my wife had black bean. She has high standards for veggie burgers and really enjoyed it. She got the burning down the house version and loved the flavor. I got the classic and really enjoyed it. Bistro fries were very flavorful and crispy.

One comment is I ordered burger medium and it had no color. Was still juicy and I’m not picky so I still enjoyed it. Just a caution to folks who prefer their meat less well done.

Raj the owner personally served us and told us about his journey from humble beginnings to now one of the top 20 or so indian cuisines in the country. It doesn't take long to taste why. An unassuming restaurant on the outside to an amazing comfortable and authentic interior space to welcome anyone and everyone ready for the mos amazing dining experiences they will have. “I’m from the Boston area and was meeting a friend in Portsmouth for dinner. We picked Durbar Square and we’re definitely not disappointed. We had an absolutely fabulous meal there. The chicken chili was a delicious, and a different approach than any chili I’ve had before. The chicken was perfect cooked. The sauce was full of flavor. They also ask you to pick yours spice range from 1-10 so you can choose what suits you best. The owner, John, is totally engaged with his customers and if you want, can even demonstrate a yoga pose or 2 (which he is very good at). Just overall a great place to eat.“

“Amazing first time visit to the Portsmouth NH location…from the the decor…to the scrumptious meals we had, Chicken Cordon Blue Benny and an Omelet with a heaping side plate of various meats( sausage,bacon and ham) and not to mention bottomless coffee refills……however what stood out the most was our server Emma ! Emma - has a unique talent for making you feel like you are the most important person in the room, even as she was juggling all her tables. Emma is the kind of server who can tell you a great story and refill your coffee at the same time. Emma -thank you for making our visit so enjoyable..we will be back! “Just had an amazing dinner at Walkers Maine in Cape Neddick! Our waitress Brook was fantastic, helping us navigate the delicious menu. We started with complimentary bread & oil, then devoured fried oysters. I enjoyed the short rib kofta with zucchini & German potato salad, while my friend savored the salmon entree. For dessert, we had to try the in-house-made sarsaparilla-glazed donuts & ice cream. Everything was top-notch!“

“Great menu, great food, (They bake those muffins every day and they are devine!) great service. There is indoor and outdoor seating, so we are able to take our pup. The wait can be long on weekend summer mornings (10-15 minutes) but we used our time at the next door dog park while waiting. Unique local specials (Lobsters, blueberries, and crabs, Oh my!) and delicious coffee and teas. Try their blood orange juice freshly squeezed! You will not be sorry!“

“We had a great Independence day having lunch at the Ikko! My boys didn't stop raving about the amazing food and funny entertainment by our cook at the hibachi! My youngest even said if he had $100 he would give it to him that's how good he was LOL The service was on point, my youngest has celiac disease and allergic to gluten but had no problem as the menu was adjusted to his needs. As a picky eater, my youngest ate everything and even asked for seconds. My boys talked about booking their birthday dinners here even though its not until months away. Would highly recommend and will come back for sure!“
