“Love this location! Staff is always friendly and quick. Never had an issue and I have been coming here for years.One time there was a staffing issue so they had to close earlier but they left signs up and even referred us to the Plainfield location. I love it when businesses leave up signs explaining when something is wrong.“

“My nephew and I shared a meal here today and our experiences ranged from very good to off the scale great. We tried a Hot Mess breakfast with eggs, potatoes, chorizo,etc; it was perfectly balanced (neither to spicy or bland), super fresh; loved it. We also got a grilled cheese, with pepper jelly. The bread was the best ever (toasted perfectly) and crunchy, and it wasn't to cheesy (some places put too much cheese which makes it messy) with just enough pepper jelly to create an original experience; and one of my favorite sandwiches of my life. The salad was the low point of the meal as it was merely perfect. We also got a chocolate croissant which was great and a pot de creme which was decadent and..can I say perfect again. This is my new favorite place“

“They changed the name from Sparrows to Scorpion Heart, I'm not sure why. Anyhow, this is a nice little coffee shop with a hipster vibe. The vibe is cozy to do some work, read, or study. The music is chill and set at a good volume. In addition to being a coffee shop, they also sell trinkets like cards, mugs, candles, accessories, and vinyl records. They have various specialty lattes. I love the beautiful latte art. Friendly service. I can see why it's a favorite in the area.“

“Excellent assorted specialty coffees. The flat bread pizza was surprisingly good as well. Staff were all above and beyond in their service. Truly wonderful addition to Grand Rapids and Alger Heights.“

“Great food at a decent price but the service can be a tad inconsistent. Usually good to great service but I've noticed that things fall through the cracks when they get slammed. Nevertheless, Westsider is still one of my favorite breakfast spots in Grand Rapids. Plenty of vegetarian options which is always a plus!“

“This place was super fun for my 2 year old. Couple thing a I didn’t like.. 1. Not a good selection for snacks on the menu & 2. Bathroom was gross. You have to take your shoes off once you enter (makes sense) but in the bathroom there was pee all over the floor by the toilet & on the toilet. Maybe someone needs to hold a key and hand it out when requested.“

“This place introduced me to acaí bowls, and ive been obsessed ever since. The portion is great and the variety of fruits is also nice for the price. The acaí blend is super tasty.The service was fairly neutral -- baseline politeness from staff is all I've encountered. Nothing particularly warm or welcoming. But they did their jobs right and have always gotten my order with modifications right too, so I'm fine with that.“

“Chapbook Cafe is a lovely oasis in the Schuyler Books store. We enjoy hanging out with friends or simply having a quiet place to read. The food was very good today. The help seemed overtired and harried. If you want to have a great place to mingle with friends, try them out.“

“A true Hidden Gem in Standale! My favorite place to grab a latte.The quality, in my subjective opinion, exceeds Starbucks, Biggby et al.Latte's are served nice and hot, numerous flavors to try and choice of milk & toppings.The sweets they offer are all only $ 2.25 and are scrumptious (I've tried nearly all of them)!Service is impeccable and both ladies are wonderful to chat with.They have a "frequent buyer" punch card and the prices are, on average, $2-3 less than Starbucks.My all-time favorite coffee shop and even if I didn't live close by, I'd be making special trips to come back!“
