“Great cigar bar with an awesome atmosphere. The place is clean, comfortable, and has a really relaxed vibe. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. They have a great cigar selection, good drinks, and it’s the perfect spot to sit back and enjoy yourself without feeling rushed.

“I visited this past Valentine’s Day weekend and visited again this past Saturday night. I didn’t have a reservation but still got seated very quickly. It was a hot, muggy night and the hostess said she had a seat on the patio which I was fine with. I had a magnificent server, Florence, who was kind, thoughtful to recommend a drink to the person I was with and even when our drinks were brought out within a short time, apologized for the delay (which wasn’t necessary). I wish I could give a review on the party next to us because they were extremely rude, not only not giving consideration to others being on the patio but were also incredibly rude to Florence. One woman in particular was grandstanding in front of this group and demanded to speak to a manager. Florence and the Manager were both composed and dignified in spite of a rude patron that was looking to get her bill comped (for a party of nearly a dozen people) going so far as to threatening to have everyone at her table write a terrible review. I have worked in the service industry and so have so many people I know and love so this situation had me worked up and I felt it necessary to write a review that our experience was magnificent. Don’t be an a-hole to servers of any kind just because you’re an a-hole yourself. If you give respect, you get respect. Go to The Sugar House. Be a good customer.“

“Shout out to Chris, he was our server today and he was exceptionally positive, patient, and accommodating. The flavor profiles of the dishes had a bit of an Asian influence that was subtle and appreciated. The prime rib was medium rare and seasoned well. The halibut ceviche had Asian flavor notes with a small hint of heat. The chicken dumplings had the right amount of heat and were cooked to a nice crisp. The fig salad was also interesting and like every dish here was generously proportioned. The menu was fairly priced and a great value.“

Was there last week, 2 of us ordered a Patty Melt, mouth drooling for a nice juicy Patty Melt. ordered medium, it came "over" well done. It was so dry and horrible. I. “My friends and I hit this bar up on the biggest bar night of the year! Thanksgiving Eve! We arrived around 10:00pm (no cover) and it was already so packed. They played great music, the DJ was seriously on point. Jack and Coke was only $6.00 and the pours = very very very strong. I was impressed with the environment. The bartenders were nice, the people around me were nice, it was just a really cool vibe! The only thing I'll say is...the bathrooms! Way too small for the amount of people allowed in that bar. “Very fun venue I visited this place on a Saturday night and had a ball doing karaoke. They have all genres of music from R&B to heavy metal lol gotta love Detroit.
They also have a really cute boutique bowling lanes perfect place for a small event girls night out or family fun definitely date night just do it. Parking sucks because of Michigan Avenue so pack your patience.“

“Moose’s Pub is a cosy, down to earth sit-down bar with its own little spin on the martini field. They have seasonal cocktails ranging from Lychee-Tinis to Berriful drinks filled to the brim. The lady that served me and my husband was nice, business focused and respectful towards us. I was there on my 21st birthday, for the obvious thing to do- drink!
We ordered; The Mrs, The Lychee-Tini, The Cooler and The Berry Martini. And the Chili Cheese Fries.

Honestly, every drink was a blast, all priced at 12 dollars, and the chili cheese fries that were priced at 8 dollars.
The martinis were spot on, delicious and had a very nice tang, especially The Lychee & Mrs. While The Cooler & Berry were more on the soft, less alcoholic tasting side.
Now- these fries, the chili cheese ones, were absolutely to die for. They’re crispy, crunchy, with a sauce made out of the perfect blend of chili and cheese giving the fries an unneeded but most certainly elevating boost. They melt in your mouth, sending a cosy and satisfying feeling that stays with you throughout your experience.

Decor was cute, cosy, the atmosphere was a comfortable buzz. Not too much, but also not too little. No rowdiness- more so a dreamy like feel where the noise is in the background and doesn’t take the attention away from your date.
I’d definitely pop on around again for another chili cheese fry and some martinis!

PS: For those aiming for a happy hour, make sure before hand that they still have the promotion. We went around 3 PM on a Sunday and there was no promotion.

“First time grabbing food to go from here. I’m so happy I finally tried them. The food is a 10/10 no complaints. Had a little bit of everything since I ordered for my family. Beef ribs, smoked wings, brisket sandwich, greens, baked beans and mac and cheese. It was all delicious. The meat was well flavored not over seasoned or overcooked. The sides were also flavorful. Nice size portions and good price. Happy to know I have a soul food/bbq option close to home that is good. Nice bar welcoming atmosphere. I look forward to dining in soon.“
