“This is one of my favorite quick meals in town. The sushi and kimbap are always solid, and they have other rotating dishes, so there's something for everyone. Best yet is it's located inside the galleria market, so you can shop while you wait for your food.“

“My husband and I went out for our anniversary dinner and took a chance on a brand new spot. We were so glad we did! The food was phenomenal and we had A LOT of it! We shared the Christmas sushi roll, lamb skewers, oysters, avocado salad, Thai basil flank steak stir fry and tiramisu for dessert. “I visited Totoro very shortly after their opening in the morning and was immediately struck by the beautiful atmosphere! Totoro is proud of it's Ghibli inspiration, with the walls lined with My Neighbor Totoro memoribillia. It was peaceful and had soft music playing over their speakers. The bentos and rice bowl options were diverse, well priced, and good serving sizes but the sushi menu I felt was a little lacking. Especially with the themeing of the location I expected some themed dishes. Service was a little slower than some other spots in the area but like I mentioned they had just opened so I can excuse that. They were still doing prep work when I came in so I saw them bringing out raw fish, etc and their ingredients are very fresh!“

“I absolutely love Asian Legend. If you’re not familiar with Taiwanese food—it is probably the most comforting Asian style food to eat, with sweet and savory flavors that expand your pallet without being overpowering.

Asian Legend is an unassuming family owned establishment that prides itself on delicious food, fast service and quality.

Don’t mistake their directness for rudeness; the owners are lovely people and want to service you as quickly as possible.

As a beverage, you are given hot tea by default. If you want water, all you have to do is ask for it.

The best way to eat is family style—ordering two or so dishes per person.

For someone just getting started, I’d recommend the following:

• Seaweed dried tofu (bean curd)
• Taiwanese Rice Noodles w/ Minced Pork
• Taiwanese Cabbages with Garlic
• Onion pancake (Fried Scallion Pancake)
• Fried tofu with basil (also known as three cup tofu)
• Pepper Salt Chicken [so good, a must try]“

“Attentive and friendly service. Good selection of a variety of Szechuan dishes, from meat to poultry to seafood to vegetable. We ordered kung pao chicken, mushroom minced shredded pork, string bean, chicken fried rice, and spicy cold noodle. All were flavorful and good portion.“
