“Oh Happy day, this place closed months ago and was put up for sale. This great Greek family just reopened Monday, we had to visit. Yes same family, Ma & Pa with the daughter welcome all those long time customers with a smile. Thanks Sidney our superstar waitress, you a keeper. Check they Facebook page everyday for Specials. Had a outstanding sandwich named the Smokestack OMG. Corned Beef, Ham n Turkey on Toasted thick Greek Bread with Cheese and sauce. A true gut stuffer, could barely finish it. She had the half Deep Fried Chicken spot on delicious. Marvelous Bean n Ham Soup made in house. This folks a Downriver Gem , place been a restaurant over 80 years with different names. Easy to find just a hundred yards off I-75 the Rockwood exit. Spotless clean everything and friendly staff, a must visit. “DISCLAIMER: I WILL L LEAVE OUT MY OPINION ABOUT THE FOOD BECAUSE WHEN I ATE THERE, I WAS COMING DOWN WITH A SINUS INFECTION. THAT CAN ALTER HOW THINGS TASTE.Coney with a small town diner feel. This is one of those places where you just know most of their daily business is from the community, and the staff probably knows most of the customers names.My waitress was named Julia and she was both witty and pleasant. The service was extremely quick and cashing out was a breeze.I must go back and visit again in a few weeks. I will update this soon.“

“Between doctor appointments, a friend & I had lunch at Olga’s Kitchen, located in Woodhaven, MI, yesterday. The food was really good & Sabrina, our server was excellent. We received some of the best service I have ever had and I wanted to recognize her. Sabrina was very personable and very, very attentive to our needs. Due to illness I am unable to get out very often and she made this a most enjoyable Olga’s’ experience. Thank you Sabrina, are an asset to your employer!“

“Late Sunday lunch/early dinner with the family. We had poutine, ribeye, perch and lobster rolls. Everything was delicious and our server was kind and attentive. Husband got the Sunday best cocktail and loved the dried flowers (he’s currently wearing them like a boutonnière). We can’t wait to come back!“

The veal in the dish wasn't a processed patty but actually veal...would recommend. Hubs had lasagna, thought it was ok, liked that they used ricotta and cottage cheese...he still likes mine better...for those that are anti-green pepper in tomato sauces, this had zero, which I liked...would definitely recommend the veal parm and the zucchini, can't speak for the hubs...and the lasagna but it sounded like he'd get it again, he was really wanting the Swedish meatballs and they were out“

“We were supposed to celebrate my sons 21st birthday at at different establishment, but do to a technical computer error, that establishment was closed for the day. The Bierhaven was able to accommodate my large group at the last minute. The staff were great and professional and the food was amazing. After we left the restaurant, my son left cash, visa gift cards and other items behind. We didn’t realize we left these items behind. The Bierhaven found my son on Facebook and reached out to him to get these items back to him. Most places or people would have pocketed the cash and gift cards, but they didn’t. Thank you for having an honest staff crew. We appreciate it ❤️“

“I'm in the search of the best Reuben. So far Joy's has an edge other places I've eaten at since visiting Monroe. The meat thickness was good, the sauerkraut has good placement being in the middle and I love it when the sauce is on the side so you can add as little or as much as you want. All in all I would say they have the best so far.“
