“Being that the restaurant opens at 10am, and we were amongst the first the arrive. Our food was cold. The buffet food was cold. Nonetheless, the waffles, omelette, and Crepe stations were really good. I enjoy 5th Tavern and will return. It's my go to for comfort and brunch.“

“Love this restaurant! We travel from Windsor Ontario to eat here because of the great food and drink. However the best part of Troy Yard House is the staff. Namely Sara who works the bar. She is simply amazing. I marvel at how she commands the bar yet encages with each of her customers. We have been here several times and attend based on Sar's schedule. We truly appreciate her as well the other staff who make this a GREAT place to be!“

“We enjoyed our time at the HUB. We went for a small birthday party and did the golfing simulator and bombowling. The golf simulator is not TopGolf so I’m not sure why it’s labeled as such… we had several issues with the simulator and no one knew enough about it to assist. The bombowling was fun, but at $100/hr for the lane, it’s a bit steep. We were able to get a few games in with 6 people but once it gets crowded it can be problematic with footballs flying and bouncing everywhere. Overall, I’d come back with a larger group so you can split costs evenly. Prices can start to get higher if it’s less than 4 people.“

“220 in general is pretty great all around. Ambiance is top tier, food and drinks are great, service is spot on as well. However, a big reason I still go is because I know it's in good hands with Mekhael. I know what to expect when I go because I know he's running a tight ship. “Hubby and I enjoyed our 36th sweetheart anniversary at Prime29. This was our first visit. I don't know how I hadn't heard about this place sooner. Jody was absolutely amazing. Parking: There are about 20 parking spots, that are very close to the front of the restaurant, as well as the option of valet parking (most evenings). The “overflow” spots are conveniently located and nearby, as well.

Wheelchair accessibility: There are handicap spots up front and valet parking available most evenings. The doorways and pathways in the restaurant are ample to accommodate a wheelchair or walker.“

Fall-inspired cocktails, bone marrow on pumpernickel toast with greens, grilled pork chop with apple slaw, honeynut squash fettuccine with pickled mushrooms, brussels sprouts with pancetta & blue cheese, and my favorite - mushroom risotto. I loved the variety of layers in each dish. You can combine different components within each dish and get a new delicious bite. Friendly and knowledgeable server (Crystal), beautiful restaurant and grounds. I highly recommend and look forward to returning.“

“Visited O.W.L. early today as it was the only dine in resturant open for breakfast.

The breakfast menu is small....and the food was hot, fresh, flavorful AND, delicious. We ordered bacon with egg and chorizo with egg breakfast sandwiches.

Sandwiches were generous, and prepared with care. Make sure to ask for eggs well done if you don't want runny egg yokes with your meal.

Offerings of fresh pineapple and watermelon juice are refreshing breakfast thirst quinchers if you're looking for a natural morning pick me up!

I also paid attention to the chef....she continuously put on fresh gloves when handling food and beverages.....this was very important to me.

The chef/server and staff are pleasant and very accommodating!

We will return, soon, to sample their taco options!

I look for the number of reviews and I try to find helpful reviews to give me more incite into what I may be getting into. My wife works in a business where the reviews really matter for bringing in new customers. She often talks about the long-time customers who keep returning but have never left a review. Those are really the voices that should matter more to people who want an honest review of the company they are looking into. Unfortunately, even though I like looking at reviews, I seldom leave one unless I'm very satisfied with the company or really disappointed. In both cases, I leave my emotions aside and tell things as I experience them. This means that if everything wasn't perfect, I don't ding them for minor stuff. I give people the benefit of the doubt because we all have those days when we aren't at our best. When I read bad reviews about restaurants that I frequent often, I wonder about the person leaving the review. I feel that they are either competitors with malicious intent, someone who didn't try to listen to resolve whatever issues they perceived to be happening, or simply someone who's looking for a reason and is too hard to please in the first place. So with all that out of the way, let me get to the Lim's Star review. I love Chinese food and it's one of the first things I looked for locally when I bought my house 10 years ago. There are several in what I would consider my drivable area. Lim's Star is in my top 5 or higher depending on what dish I'm looking for. 10 years means I've been coming there since before the current owner. Do I miss the dinner rolls? Not really, since I get better quality food and personalization of meals on request. The new owner knows us on sight and remembers what we like to order. He even allows us to modify the ingredients to our liking. He is very friendly and will engage in small talk to get to know his customers better. We eat at or buy takeout from Lim's Star at least once a month, sometimes more. Has everything always been perfect? No, but I really can't recall the last time I was dissatisfied with my order or service. Based on my long review, I'm hoping you can tell I have had many enjoyable meals from and experiences with Lim's Star. Seriously! If you are on the fence or willing to try something new in your area, start with a dish you know to compare. I doubt you will be disappointed in your comparison. Mark J.“

“This was my first time here. I loved the decor. The baskets as lighting was nice. It seemed like black wood pallets for the ceiling. Nice touch!! I was looking for food in the area while I waited for my appointment nearby. Listen, I made a damn good choice and whomever made my bowl! Babyyyyy!! They did not disappoint!! It was the larger bowl w/ chicken thighs, basmati rice, double garlic sauce, veggies, picked red onions, and salad w/ feta! It was so good I forgot to take a picture. The different flavors, textures, and temperatures worked nicely together: The chicken/rice (warm), the picked red onions (cool), the veggies were a bit tart but in a good way. The salad/dressing were cool. This bowl was so good on my palate! Plus, it was such a healthy choice! 10/10“

“Last night my family and myself went to Grand Tavern for supper after a long day. Our waiter Xhorxh was absolutely amazing! Personally, I have dietary restrictions and explained to him that I am unable to have gluten, dairy, or egg. I had already pre-creeped the menu before arriving so I could find a meal that would be easy to hopefully adapt to my dietary restrictions. After explaining my restrictions Xhorxh was ON IT! He immediately spoke to the chef and the chef adapted my meal to my restrictions. Xhorxh did tell me that there could be a possible cross contamination with gluten on one of my sides and explained that they couldn’t guarantee that that one thing would be gluten free. Listen, not very often in the service industry do you come across a wait staff member or chef that made sure to cross all of the boxes. I ordered brussel sprouts as the appetizer without the cheese (I could have had three plates of that it was so good) and the cedar plank salmon and ordered two veggies as my side. IT was DELISH!!!!! Xhorxh also made sure that our drinks were constantly filled and took amazing care of our family. My MIL even made a comment after we received our meals how she really liked him as a waiter. I wished we had a Grand Tavern where we lived but unfortunately we are 8 hours away but we will absolutely be back when visiting family! ❤️“
