“My mom was visiting from out of state and my children wanted to bring her to one of their favorite restaurants. We started off with the chicken satay appetizer. The flavors of the peanut sauce and the chili sauce go perfect together. I had the scotish salmon for my entree and it was one of the best salmons I have ever had. Our service was exceptional. Lauren and Amber went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with everything and that our drinks were never empty. They raved about the carrot cake, so we had to try that. It was hands down the best in the area. The cake was huge we all could easily share it. We will definitely be back again.“

“Ordered a carry out for my wife that just had surgery! She also has a gluten and egg allergy, the staff was very helpful in determining the food was free of these allergens. BTW, the chicken fettuccine Alfredo was awesome and the noodles were some of the best we have had!

“Love this restaurant! We travel from Windsor Ontario to eat here because of the great food and drink. However the best part of Troy Yard House is the staff. Namely Sara who works the bar. She is simply amazing. I marvel at how she commands the bar yet encages with each of her customers. We have been here several times and attend based on Sar's schedule. We truly appreciate her as well the other staff who make this a GREAT place to be!“

“We enjoyed our time at the HUB. We went for a small birthday party and did the golfing simulator and bombowling. The golf simulator is not TopGolf so I’m not sure why it’s labeled as such… we had several issues with the simulator and no one knew enough about it to assist. The bombowling was fun, but at $100/hr for the lane, it’s a bit steep. We were able to get a few games in with 6 people but once it gets crowded it can be problematic with footballs flying and bouncing everywhere. Overall, I’d come back with a larger group so you can split costs evenly. Prices can start to get higher if it’s less than 4 people.“

“The food was exceptional. We ended up doing a lot of shareable items. I think the winner was the grilled asparagus, and the Mediterranean salad was off the hook. The Ahi tuna tartare needed more seasoning. The pizza was delicious. I highly recommend this location. Everything was wonderful about it, including the server who moved us to an appropriate size table to enjoy our food.“

“Me and my girlfriend ordered from this place and we got take out. I've never been here before. She's been here a few times. I got the chorizo hash with scrambled eggs, and she got a breakfast sandwich. The wait wasn't too long, and you could see when you walked in that they were making everything fresh and to order, so you are definitely getting food right off the grill. I got the food and took it home. The hash was amazing and seasoned very well, the chorizo was tasty and the eggs were perfect but the potatoes were the best. She loved her breakfast sandwich. We will definitely be back. This is now on my list for good recommendations.“

Parking: There are about 20 parking spots, that are very close to the front of the restaurant, as well as the option of valet parking (most evenings). The “overflow” spots are conveniently located and nearby, as well.

Wheelchair accessibility: There are handicap spots up front and valet parking available most evenings. The doorways and pathways in the restaurant are ample to accommodate a wheelchair or walker.“

“We had a really great first experience at Beppé. My husband and I stopped in on a weeknight for a light dinner. We shared the croquettes, the beet salad and the rabbit pasta. Wow! Really tasty food, the standout was the beet salad on olive oil whipped feta. Really beautiful, thoughtful dishes using high quality ingredients. Wait staff was friendly and attentive but not intrusive. We sat on the patio and had a really lovely all around experience. Will definitely recommend to friends.“

“I like many of you, like using the review score when making purchase decisions. I never just look at the score. I look for the number of reviews and I try to find helpful reviews to give me more incite into what I may be getting into. My wife works in a business where the reviews really matter for bringing in new customers. She often talks about the long-time customers who keep returning but have never left a review. Those are really the voices that should matter more to people who want an honest review of the company they are looking into. Unfortunately, even though I like looking at reviews, I seldom leave one unless I'm very satisfied with the company or really disappointed. In both cases, I leave my emotions aside and tell things as I experience them. This means that if everything wasn't perfect, I don't ding them for minor stuff. I give people the benefit of the doubt because we all have those days when we aren't at our best. When I read bad reviews about restaurants that I frequent often, I wonder about the person leaving the review. I feel that they are either competitors with malicious intent, someone who didn't try to listen to resolve whatever issues they perceived to be happening, or simply someone who's looking for a reason and is too hard to please in the first place. So with all that out of the way, let me get to the Lim's Star review. I love Chinese food and it's one of the first things I looked for locally when I bought my house 10 years ago. There are several in what I would consider my drivable area. Lim's Star is in my top 5 or higher depending on what dish I'm looking for. 10 years means I've been coming there since before the current owner. Do I miss the dinner rolls? Not really, since I get better quality food and personalization of meals on request. The new owner knows us on sight and remembers what we like to order. He even allows us to modify the ingredients to our liking. He is very friendly and will engage in small talk to get to know his customers better. We eat at or buy takeout from Lim's Star at least once a month, sometimes more. Has everything always been perfect? No, but I really can't recall the last time I was dissatisfied with my order or service. Based on my long review, I'm hoping you can tell I have had many enjoyable meals from and experiences with Lim's Star. Seriously! If you are on the fence or willing to try something new in your area, start with a dish you know to compare. I doubt you will be disappointed in your comparison. Mark J.“

“Last night my family and myself went to Grand Tavern for supper after a long day. Our waiter Xhorxh was absolutely amazing! Personally, I have dietary restrictions and explained to him that I am unable to have gluten, dairy, or egg. I had already pre-creeped the menu before arriving so I could find a meal that would be easy to hopefully adapt to my dietary restrictions. After explaining my restrictions Xhorxh was ON IT! He immediately spoke to the chef and the chef adapted my meal to my restrictions. Xhorxh did tell me that there could be a possible cross contamination with gluten on one of my sides and explained that they couldn’t guarantee that that one thing would be gluten free. Listen, not very often in the service industry do you come across a wait staff member or chef that made sure to cross all of the boxes. I ordered brussel sprouts as the appetizer without the cheese (I could have had three plates of that it was so good) and the cedar plank salmon and ordered two veggies as my side. IT was DELISH!!!!! Xhorxh also made sure that our drinks were constantly filled and took amazing care of our family. My MIL even made a comment after we received our meals how she really liked him as a waiter. I wished we had a Grand Tavern where we lived but unfortunately we are 8 hours away but we will absolutely be back when visiting family! ❤️“

“Very fancy and expensive restaurant. One of the few restaurants in metro Detroit (and likely the whole of Michigan) that serves Baked Alaska. They do not flame it in front of you nor does it come with sparklers like some restaurants may do. Still it was delicious. Jamie was a great waitress, friendly and in a good mood. There is no parking lot for Forrest, however after 5:30 pm and on weekends you can use the AAA Birmingham parking lot which is right next door. Very nice interior. The water glasses are small. There is a candle at the table.“
