“We tried axe throwing on vacation several years ago. We saw The Hub while on I-75 and decided to stop by and do it again. Surprisingly, we were able to get a time slot pretty quickly. The coach, Josh, was absolutely fantastic and helpful. We had a blast. The food was great. We’ll definitely be back. Prices were reasonable and the building is spacious. Even being somewhat busy on a Saturday, it didn’t feel crowded.“

“My daughter-in-law brought me here for my first with my granddaughters. The whipped feta appetizer was great! Addictively salty, sweet, and spicy with the perfect bread on the side. The kids menu ice cream sundae was the perfect finish!“

“I like many of you, like using the review score when making purchase decisions. I never just look at the score. I look for the number of reviews and I try to find helpful reviews to give me more incite into what I may be getting into. My wife works in a business where the reviews really matter for bringing in new customers. She often talks about the long-time customers who keep returning but have never left a review. Those are really the voices that should matter more to people who want an honest review of the company they are looking into. Unfortunately, even though I like looking at reviews, I seldom leave one unless I'm very satisfied with the company or really disappointed. In both cases, I leave my emotions aside and tell things as I experience them. This means that if everything wasn't perfect, I don't ding them for minor stuff. I give people the benefit of the doubt because we all have those days when we aren't at our best. When I read bad reviews about restaurants that I frequent often, I wonder about the person leaving the review. I feel that they are either competitors with malicious intent, someone who didn't try to listen to resolve whatever issues they perceived to be happening, or simply someone who's looking for a reason and is too hard to please in the first place. So with all that out of the way, let me get to the Lim's Star review. I love Chinese food and it's one of the first things I looked for locally when I bought my house 10 years ago. There are several in what I would consider my drivable area. Lim's Star is in my top 5 or higher depending on what dish I'm looking for. 10 years means I've been coming there since before the current owner. Do I miss the dinner rolls? Not really, since I get better quality food and personalization of meals on request. The new owner knows us on sight and remembers what we like to order. He even allows us to modify the ingredients to our liking. He is very friendly and will engage in small talk to get to know his customers better. We eat at or buy takeout from Lim's Star at least once a month, sometimes more. Has everything always been perfect? No, but I really can't recall the last time I was dissatisfied with my order or service. Based on my long review, I'm hoping you can tell I have had many enjoyable meals from and experiences with Lim's Star. Seriously! If you are on the fence or willing to try something new in your area, start with a dish you know to compare. I doubt you will be disappointed in your comparison. Mark J.“

“I rarely write reviews but I want this restaurant to never go away. Go there, spend your money, you won't be upset. Comfortable restaurant, fantastic staff, and amazing food! We ordered appetizers, lunch, and take out for dinner. We got the Reuben Spring Rolls, Pretzel Sticks, Monte Cristo and the Bourbon Burger with Sweet Potato Fries, all delicious! The Mushroom Soup and Beef Stew are the best I've ever had!“

“Had not been here for a salad in a long time. Their Chef Salad was just as good or better than I remembered. Lots of fresh tasty vegetables, meats cheese. Freshly baked Pita Bread and Salad Dressing was just right! Waitress was wonderful! Very helpful. Happy with the price and prompt service. Highly recommend!! “Such a cool little place. I took my friend here for her birthday because I wanted to take her somewhere unique that is not a chain. We got the hot artichoke dip, which was absolutely amazing, the arugula salad, which was so so good, and two of their woodfired pizzas. Off the top of my head I cannot remember what the names of them were, but I’m pretty sure one was the Lucy and the other one had different kinds of mushrooms on it and was a white pizza. Both were phenomenal and I would totally get again! I love that they have non-alcoholic cocktails here as well. It was a perfect evening and felt very special. I will definitely go back here again. I took the leftover pizza home to my son who devoured it and just raved about it over and over.“

“Just came to say I enjoy the time I spend at the Wintergarden. The Wednesday wings are great and I get them almost EVERY Wednesday, the Sunday half off pizza is also a great deal and quite tasty. The service is usually good, but it depends on who is working. I am usually there during happy hour so my review is based on that. I have three bartenders I particulary like to see, Brei, who unfortunately for me, has branched out to better herself and is not there so often anymore, Alison, who knows my wing order by heart, and Sam who kicks butt and takes great care of me.“

I was working with out-of-town real estate clients who had a small dog, and in March this was the only restaurant that welcomed their dog inside. Because of that kindness and flexibility, we ended up dining there multiple days in a row.

The service was wonderful, as always, but it was the empathy and genuine accommodation that really made the difference. Experiences like that create loyal customers for life.“

“Went for a birthday dinner. As typical, the restaurant is always busy. It was a beautiful day and we got a terrific table on the patio. Our birthday boy ordered ribs--a family favorite--and had looked forward to them. The ribs were tender enough, but the sauce was awful. In the end, if you love ribs, it's all about the sauce and flavor profile. Ribs really are an art and it takes a great sauce/rub and also a nice sear on the ribs. Would not recommend ribs at this restaurant--and it was disappointing that the point of the gathering was to celebrate the birthday of the person who ordered ribs.

One of us ordered Icelandic cod. It was delicious! The rest of the party was very happy with their meals.

The server was wonderful. Very friendly, very professional and just a lovely person. She brought out a LARGE piece of carrot cake for the birthday without us asking for it. Terrific.

The menu is a little on the high side, but still a decent value considering the variety and quality of the meals. Servings were generous and delicious.
