“The beer is cold. The food is mostly very good very filling burgers and sandwiches. However even if you're a great tipper like me, you will have to wait for service while while the staff is busy socializing with their clique friends. Just being honest.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking spots right at the entry door.“
“Being my wife's and my first experience with Greek food, we didn't know what to expect. My wife ordered the Greek salad and spinach pie. The loved both and wished she could have went back before we had to leave for home. My mushroom Swiss burger was delicious. They talked me into trying a coney, which was also great. Staff was great and friendly“
“They have a really good cucumber margarita and their chocolate chip cookies melt in your mouth. This is one of my favorite places to get Shepard's Pie. The advertising on their carry out bag was a little different.... "Eat local or Die."“
“Had a delicious dinner and great service from Natalie! She gave us some recommendations and made sure our food was acceptable and enjoyable. Appreciated her attention to that! A little chilly sitting out in the area closest to the parking lot.“
“Moana and Abraham are the sweetest people you can meet. The food is very tasty, from shawarmas, lamb chops, to deboned chicken. Everything I've eaten has been satisfying. They offer dine in or carryout. Stop in and give them a try! Let them know Lamar sent you.“
“Best Pizza I think I’ve ever had. Guys are so nice every time I come in. They have New York Style pizza which is impossible to find in metro detroit. They have high quality ingredients and sinply amazing pizza. We won’t order from anyone else now.“
“It was my first time dining at STH and it wouldn’t be the last. My crab cake appetizer was great and I had the Chuckawalla chicken without the goat cheese and it was delicious. While I was placing my order our waitress asked if I was happy with the sides it came with or if I’d like to change them. No one has ever asked that before. I had the asparagus and swapped out the mashed potatoes for the brussel sprouts. The only thing that could have been better was if the asparagus had been seasoned better. A little salt and pepper fixed that. An all around great experience.“
“Is there a such thing as American food? I don’t know. I’d call it plain and as basic two patties of ground beef covered with bread. So, you’re not talking about cooking with fifty ingredients and that’s just fine. I mean let’s face it, American food has stood the test of time thanks to the taste of people who might not want to eat coriander’s spiced salmon with truffle oil and saffron grits. The garage is unabashedly American and they do a great job. A tiny bit of fusion is more than enough. It’s a spotless atmosphere and the service is always good.Brunch is my favorite and those bloody Mary’s are a work of art.“
“Went to open mic night on a Monday. Liked the atmosphere a lot. Service was excellent!! Waitstaff was kind and friendly and on top of things. Great ambiance. The prices for a Monday and no happy hour on a Monday was a bit off putting. On average beers were $8 (basic beer). White claws $6.50. Sliders $2 each. Chips and salsa $4. I thought the food was good and decent prices but beers were pretty pricey.“
“I had the pleasure of visiting the Bistro on a Thursday night. We walked in to a full buzzing inviting dining room. Great music was playing and the decor is well done with artistic treasures catching your eye here and there. I arrived hungry. I ordered chili knowing it'd be quick and take the edge off. Normally chili is not my thing.... This chili was excellent meaty goodness well balanced spices and piping hot. Checked all my boxes for well done. We enjoyed the Mediterranean plank a long time favorite. It's delicious! The little nuggets of fried artichoke are a treat. The olive tapenade and roasted garlic keep us coming back. Services was timely, gracious, fun and funny. I love that a salad compliments your entree at the Bistro. The house salad is simply one of my favorites fresh greens house made dressing and garnished with dried fruit pine nuts and blue cheese. My boyfriend had the crave worthy Caesar. Entrees were Steak Diane a true classic that is perfectly executed and a special of Blue chicken the is worthy of consideration for a permanent spot on the menu. Although we did not enjoy dessert I got some views of others having the pleasure and next time I'll save room and indulge. There is a interesting mix of signature cocktails, full service bar with local craft beers, a thoughtful wine list that covers all the bases from a weeknight trying something new and not spending a fortune to let's make it special a go for a classic Cabernet. All in all you can enjoy the Bistro on weekly regular basis and have great specials or menu staples and never tire of beginning there.“
“March.2024I visited at my friend's farewell. Share oysters and calamari with appetizer. The main plate was scallops and chicken. The scallops are surprisingly large and plump! The chicken was also good...so no matter what you eat here, it's a delicious restaurant♪“
“This is a regular stop for us, but we just had some amazing biscuits and gravy today that I had to rave about! They are on special and not a regular menu item, but I hope they get added! Paired with their house made Bloody Mary it was perfect. Great service and staff as always.“
“Front staff was a little short tempered and fairly rude this visit. We just needed to seat 5 people at the non high top tables as we had one person who was handicapped joining our party. Waitress was pretty good, and the food was decent.Parking: When super busy parking is a little tricky but right next to Busch's grocery store, so can walk a lil bit if needed. They have several handicapped parking spots.Kid-friendliness: Our waitress was ok with my autistic daughter.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“We eat here often. They are fairly consistent and make it right when things are off. there’s absolutely no reason to go to Leo’s Coney Island when this place is within a mile or so. The Ruben, breakfast bowls, southwest salad kids menu are all good. they are patient with children and cater to an older crowd without much salt. Surprisingly, wine and beer are available for those in need. Tip your local servers well, this isn’t a tourist town ??Kid-friendliness: Patient and helpful with the kids“
“Very good for a hotel restaurant. Food prices are fair, but a la carte so expect a larger bill if you are looking for soup or salad with an entree. French Onion Soup is a find. It's deep and well seasoned with gooey cheese and croutons. Key Lime Pie is very good it's dense and decadent compared to the fluff others want to serve. Service is friendly and casual. My only complaint are the limited hours. As the only dining at the hotel, no lunch service is disappointing and dinner service doesn't start until 5:30pm, despite being shown as 4pm online“
“Came for the Valentines supper club highlights were the service (which was attentive without being in the way), the appetizer trio (the tartar on the potato crisp was a delight), and the main course of artic char(really enjoyed the root veg and farro). The salad course was disappointing aside from the dressing which was an excellent house made Caesar. The crouton was crisp but a little oily and didn’t have much flavor. The dessert had potential but would have been better with cherries on top.“
“FIRST VISIT,Wife had mushroom swiss burger with chips, I had fried calamari appetizer as entree. Burger was cooked perfectly to ordered temperature. Calamari was also perfectly cooked and as important, for my taste, lightly breaded comparable to a tempura batter. Our server "Roxy" was off the charts. She was professional, courteous, menu knowledgeable, personable and accommodating.Uptown Grille is lucky to have such a wonderful ambassador representing them to dining customers! Customers will be equally lucky to draw her as their server!Parking: PLENTY OF PARKING, LIMITED DISABILITY PARKING SO BE PREPARED TO DROP OFF THEN PARK.“
“Busy location on a saturday. If you get there before 5pm you most likely will get seating. After 5pm there was a wait. We could not make a reservation for 5 to 6 people online nor over the phone. First come first serve. Under 4 people you can make a reservation.Everything we ordered tasted good except for the carrot cake. Too dense, too much carrot, too oily and sweet. The Key lime pie was delicious. Alex salad delicious. Steak brassiere( I think with the madiera and mushrooms) delicious. Spinach and artichoke dip with tortila chips delicious.Crab cake good. Large portions everything. Many people had to go bags. They were also busy with alot of take out orders. Food came in a reasonable amount of time though. Drinks were 2 for 1 ( not sure if this is always or only on a saturday etc). Juice was a free refill. All of the drinks tasted good and strong. Not watered down thankfully.Bread was not given for the table. The toilet was smelly and the stall doors open inwards with not much clearance. Free wifi. Tons on free parking.Overall a good dinner. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. The Kitchen area was open and you can see the chefs cooking. I would return and I recommend. Guess it is true what they say about busy locations that the food has to be good. This is true at this location.“
“A Walled Lake Hidden Gem!BY FAR the best breakfast/lunch spot. I recently started going to Woodys within the last month and I can’t stay away! Every time I’ve gone in I’m greeted with all smiles and immediate service. (Melissa) seems to always be my waitress and she does an amazing job every time I go. (Tim), who is the owner and cook is the sweetest man. He always makes sure to come out of the kitchen after the food has been served and check on how the customers are doing. This gives Woodys a very family oriented feel as the same employees are always here and they are all family. The atmosphere of Woodys is old timey.. but in a good way! If you look around Woodys you will see old photographs depicting images of Walled Lake in the early 90s. You will also see old photos of the original owner Woody. The menu is absolutely astounding. The food is all handmade by Tim. The house fries/hash browns are cut by hand fresh every morning. On this particular day I decided to try the “Make your own skillet”. They have so many ingredients to choose from. It’s a guaranteed hit!Next thing to try on my list is the breakfast charcuterie board!! Never have I heard of such a thing.Absolutely delicious!“
“Oh my gosh I found a hidden gem for a breakfast place. I just can not believe this place has been here for 18 years and I haven't known about this place. From the moment I walked in the door I felt so comfortable I was greeted the moment I walked in ,everyone is so welcoming here. I ended up ordering the big breakfast and a coffee and everything was done to perfection not a flaw, My waitress was amazing very beautiful and very nice. I am so full and I'm already looking forward for the next time that I come to this amazing place.“
