The buffet food was great, our server John was awesome, and the games were a lot of fun. Gracee helped me plan this event, she was very knowledgeable, courteous and accommodating. “Love this restaurant! We travel from Windsor Ontario to eat here because of the great food and drink. However the best part of Troy Yard House is the staff. Namely Sara who works the bar. She is simply amazing. I marvel at how she commands the bar yet encages with each of her customers. We have been here several times and attend based on Sar's schedule. “We came here for our anniversary and we will definitely be going back! The service was amazing, our waiter was very friendly and helpful. The food was so good, I got salmon and ordered a second one to go, my husband ordered steak and a lobster tail and he was very pleased. We sat outside and ate and it wasn't too noisy or too much going on. Great experience, great service and great food, the bill wasn't outrageous either. We both agreed that this is a place that's worth visiting often. I highly recommend going there if you haven't already been.“

“I had a pleasant experience with this place. All of the food seemed fresh, the service is attentive and the atmosphere is very vibrant.

The 2 times in which I went, our group sat outside, being that it was summer. They had trivia, which I assume is every Wednesday.

As for food, I got the caprese sandwich on the first occasion and the then the Tomato basil soup on the second. Both were good but the caprese sandwich was very good. While the menu is not huge, it does offer the basics and has a few healthier options, such as vegan dishes.

Overall, the atmosphere and food qualiy make this place worth checking out.“

“We went to Bitter Tom’s for my birthday last night. Not only were the food & drinks amazing-especially the feta spinach dip. But the service was PHENOMENAL. Our waiter was Joe, he even joined us in eating the birthday cake we brought! And another waitress, Alyssa, was so friendly & helpful with my cake. She put it in the cooler, got candles for me, lit them, cut the cake, & helped box it back up. All without being asked or being our server. I was astounded. The five star rating is based primarily on the young man who was our cashier. His customer service was exemplary of what you want from customer facing employees. He was incredibly cordial and welcoming, informative and engaging. I sincerely hope that he is being groomed for management. The food was good for casual dining. The tenders over the fusion fries were very tender and tasty. The fries were perfectly crispy. Even while cleaning up our area and planning to leave, the young man was simply a joy. We tried the boneless wings, nachos, quesadillas, Reuben sandwich, Southwest pasta, Cajun steak strips, pretzel bites, and Beijing beef — and every single dish was delicious.

The service was just as impressive — friendly, attentive, and fast. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a casual night out or a relaxed dinner with friends.

The Cookie Monster and carrot was was beyond delicious.

“I recently hosted my second special event at the Somerset Inn, and once again, it was absolutely fabulous! I held my daughter’s wedding shower here two years ago, and just celebrated my other daughter’s baby shower last weekend. Both events were everything I hoped for and more. The food was incredible, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The buffet was unique and impressed all of our guests. The room setup was perfect, elegant, comfortable, and easy to decorate, which really allowed me to create the look and feel I wanted. Pam, our head server, provided excellent service with such warmth and professionalism. Dave, the manager, checked in several times to make sure everything ran smoothly, and Carrie, my banquet and catering manager was amazing to work with, attentive, organized, and so accommodating. From the ambience to the service to the food, everything was spectacular. I highly recommend the Somerset Inn for any type of event, they truly make every celebration feel special.“
