“Got sweet and sour chicken, rice and an egg roll to go for lunch today. Evening was great, except the sweet and sour sauce had zucchini (I think) in it that was sour, and almost tasted fermented in a way? Didn't affect the way the chicken or sauce tasted, just didn't seem right. Service was great, the lady who took my order and cashed me out was very pleasant.“

“I ordered the almond chicken and the Kung Pao chicken. Both were delicious. Kung Pao had lots of chicken a rich savory sauce with just the right amount of spice and the almond chicken had a great gravy with really good flavor (and I've tried just about every almond chicken in the whole city), it was actually like a gravy and less like a sauce which I loved and the chicken was really clean with an excellent crispy coating. The egg rolls were delicious they had plenty of meat in them could have used a little more cabbage but I prefer the meat over the veggie. The portions were huge three people could eat on one order so you definitely get your money's worth. And it's fairly price in the lady who works the front counter is always very friendly. When you see where it's located you feel like it's not in the best area but it's safer than it looks. I was not super fond of the crab cheese there was just too many onions in it but it was really full of cream cheese and had a nice crisp and a delicious sweet and sour dipping sauce.“

“I go to the east store and always get chicken subgum chop suey the chicken reminds me of lobster they dont use MSG i am hooked 5 days a week the other items are really good too worth what you pay on the meat dishes you get 2to3 times of meat than any other place“

But No one is perfect right? but they do have good food. I love the customer service as well very nice people.“

Parking: This is a small local business. You get your food to go. The parking is just pulling up in front, run in grab your food and leave. There maybe a couple small tables, but dining in isn't what this place is known for! Their chicken egg rolls are amazing!

“We were regulars at Empress of China for years. My whole extended family was. The Lotus room is the owners son and has a lot of the same menu with some added greatness! The Mongolian beef and Mongolian chicken is to die for!! It’s made different from any Mongolian beef/chicken I’ve ever had. The lettuce wraps are also amazing and they have the best egg rolls and crab Rangoons around! I also love the sizzling rice soup and won ton soup! I miss the meat sticks terribly please bring those back! I am so happy to find The Lotus room and their amazing food and traditional Chinese recipes. The chef is amazing and the woman at the front desk is super friendly! I’d love them to open back dine in and not just take out. But I’ll take anything I can get. It’s my favorite food of all time!“

“Cannot stress enough how delicious and satisfying their food is. I am new to Flint and this is probably my 2nd favorite place. Their Hot Szechuan chicken meal comes PACKED full. The vegetables are always cooked perfectly and the spice level is amazing and the chicken is super tender. Never disappoints and its super cheap. The owners are always super nice and friendly :)“

“It is still only take out, but don’t believe everything you see I got Chinese in Davison the other day (better reviews online) and it was terrible I tried this place today and I’m mind blown I got sesame chicken and crab rangoons and it was amazing I live twenty minutes away and it was still hot the breading wasn’t soggy and the crab rangoons are the best I’ve had in a long time! “I decided to give this place a try since it was the one closest to where I’m at and I have to say the prices in the photos that are listed in these reviews are wrong. I have attached the updated pictures when I went in there. I got the sweet-and-sour chicken lunch special and I’m thoroughly impressed with the portion size and what all comes with. I will definitely be eating here again. The only thing I was disappointed in was that I did not receive a fortune cookie, but I can live with that lol.“
