“The food was absolutely delicious and authentic. It's wonderful to get a true representation of other cultures. I would eat here two to four times a month. The staff are nice, the menu has so many options. They have savory, slightly sweet options. I did mot have spicy this time but... I want to. They have a bar but I did not have anything but I would love to see what cocktails they have. They have a flavorful tea, I needed sugar but boyfriend had as is. The vegetables were amazing and the chicken feet were a new experience but I now know, enjoyed and plan on eating again. They have small plate offerings so great for families, meeting, get together, dates and more. It is pretty accessible. The parking lot is a little tricky but I have seen much worse and if you have a walking disability would say the sides of the entrance don't have as much of an angle. The bathrooms have enough room for a wheelchair. I would rate the bathroom 8/10. Chinese Broccoli was juicy, tender and flavorful, Dim sum was great, the dumpling/buns are both must haves and next time we go back I will want more of each.“

“I've ordered carry-out from May Hong before and it's always been amazing. It's ready when I've walked through the door and piping hot, plus tasty. A personal favorite is the Sesame Chicken. Egg rolls are also delicious!

However, a friend and I decided to dine in two weekends ago. There may have been a rush before us that had just left, but there was only a single clean table available, and one staff person handling all the orders and cleaning.

We ordered, and I waited half an hour--no exaggeration--for a bubble tea. I decided to try something new that night, the honey chicken. No real taste of honey to be found. Stick with the Sesame or Sweet & Sour Chicken since you can't go wrong with those.

Also, the booths? A group of people left behind me and new people came in. Every time someone moves behind you, you can feel it and it's quite jarring when you're trying to eat.

The staff person we dealt with tried her hardest, and she was very, very nice, just severely overworked.

May Hong is still worth ordering from for the food, but keep it to carry-out. Dining in isn't the best experience.“

My only issues were the brown rice that came with it was too small of a small portion and I needed more to go with the main dish. Extra rice was 6 bucks for another small bowl. I asked if they had Sriracha and they brought a small mini plate of it. I looked over the bill and they charged $1 for the Sriracha. Asked for a lil extra ginger and they added $2 for that. The server said there would be an extra charge for rice, but didnt mention anything extra for the ginger and Sriracha. The vegetables used in the dish were fresh, i wished they were cooked a little longer but they had a nice crunch. The fried rice was freshly cooked and had the right amount of soy sauce taste to it (definitely wasn't the bulk food store fried rice different places use) and you could see egg that was used in the cooking too. “This place is my newest favorite Chinese food spot in the Detroit area. It's not traditional Chinese food, it's the Chinese food I grew up with in my home town. The fried rice and lo mein have fresh ingredients and it isn't greesy just to be greesy. I'm particular about the noodles used in lo mein, this place has the right thickness of noodle. Their egg rolls are delicious, crunchy on the outside soft but cooked on the inside. Some places fill an egg roll too much, here they are just perfect. ABC chicken was all white meat, had fresh broccoli and two breaded breasts sliced with a side of gravy and fried rice. I'm excited I found a Chinese food place that has exactly what I want. Just keep in mind, your picking up food in a restaurant maybe 2 people are working in, so don't be impatient or disappointed they don't have tables to serve you at. Just be greatful 15 minutes was only 15 minutes.“

“Mays is a goto for me!!! I’m in love with the King Ka Lee I believe. It’s the yellow curry with rice, chicken and potatoes. Perfect for a winter day. The food is always cooked fresh and you can watch them cook it. It’s really fast I like to order when I get there because it only takes a real 5 mins. And I add a Thai tea for the spice. Ima medium + spice kinda guy. If you want to go crazy add mushrooms.“
