“Ashby’s is a staple of the Grosse Pointe Community. My family and I stop here almost every weekend after soccer and are never disappointed by the quality of their ice cream. We also ALWAYS get their ice cream cakes, which are made with both ice cream and a cake base so you get the best of both worlds. Only downside is that the place can get a little toasty inside during the summer. If you are in the area, check it out!“

“My sister and I love this place. It was recommended by a near by business. The chicken quesadillas are amazing. The foot long coney is good. And the waffle fries with chili and cheese is delicious. I will return soon to try their egg rolls and ice cream.“

“Few words needed absolutely excellent customer service 100,000% the best milkshakes I’ve ever had. YOU CAN TELL THERE’S REAL STRAWBERRIES IN THEIR MILKSHAKES. I CALLED AND THEY WORKED WITH ME TO CALL THEIR DRIVER AND THEN CALL ME BACK TO MAKE SURE I COULD GET A DELIVERY ORDER CLOSE TO CLOSING TIME. It’s a old-school service you don’t often get these days. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND“

“Coach's is a standard neighborhood ice cream place. The ice cream is good which in the end is what counts. There is a decent selection. It's located in the middle of a strip mall as opposed to being it's own separate building and the parking lot is just feet from the building so space can be a little tight there sometimes. You used to be able to go in the store but they have closed the inside so now you can only order from the outside window. There are only a few places to sit, just a couple of benches across the parking lot, so plan on sitting in your car or standing to eat. Prices are on par with any ice cream place in the area. They do have hand dipped ice cream as well as soft serve so that is a plus.“

“Perfect, peaceful cafe. Had both the espresso and cappuccino during different visits. They were brewed at the right temp, which allowed for immediate sipping without burning my mouth. The Gelato was great and and was very smooth. The spoons were cute too. Kids and I have returned 2xs after discovery of this place and enjoy the simple, elegant and peaceful vibes the environment provides to end a long day or week. Staff is also extremely friendly.“

“We just went here for the first time and we had a great experience. The gentleman was SUPER friendly and helpful. He allowed us to try a bunch of flavors, gave us information about the company, and allowed us to try their AMAZING air fried Oreos. Also they have a HUGE selection of vegan and gluten free flavors. This is our new regular ice cream spot. Thanks again!“

Stoped by en route back into Detroit and picked up a “small” ice cream cone, when in fact I got the largest swirl of ice cream I’d ever seen. All very creamy and sweet, perfect for a summer day. Can’t ask for anything more.“

“The place is a hidden gem. I loved the churros and their ice cream selection. However, their fried ice cream is fried in churro dough, making it a bit of a thicker layer to get through for the ice cream. Other than that it is the perfect place for a cool treat.“

“I don’t leave many reviews, especially for ice cream but honestly, this was the BEST dip of a dipped cone I’ve had in a long time.To the point, my truck is a stick shift, and as anyone who shifts knows, it’s not easy with an ice cream cone. But the dip was the perfect thickness plus a solid seal on the cone, the ice cream stayed in the chocolate coating! No ice cream anywhere. Crazy! Anywho, whoever was on dip tonight, you killed it!“

“Although you had me confused at first, ice cream not me, but then I looked at the map, and discovered that it was the chicken place that the service is always pleasant and prices are reasonable, no beggars flooding the lobby and it's clean and the food tastes great“

“Parking: Not about parking, but the type of burger I ordered is not here on this list. I ordered the breakfast burger w/ a regular fry and a can of sprite soda. I handed the gentleman a $20 and he gave me $10 and a quarter back for change. Very good food, decent atmosphere, friendly service, and it is much higher quality and cheaper than any fast food. So you really cannot best it.“

“I have been going here for years. My family nd I love this place so much we go almost everyday can’t get enough. Staff is awesome very nice. Owners are so sweet amazing ppl very friendly. Durning the summer u will see the owners outside walking around talking to their customers, making u feel like family. I had almost one of everything on the menu nd I haven’t found anything I haven’t liked. It’s a must go on any type of weather best ice cream in town hands down. Good job Dairy Freezzz u rock!“
