Sat at the bar and has a world-class margarita. The tacos were delicious. Check out the original fish taco and the tilapia one. So good!

Armando's Mexican Restaurant is a classic spot in Detroit’s Mexicantown and has been serving authentic Mexican food for more than 40 years. The place has a lively, colorful atmosphere. The entrées are phenomenal. The tortas de carnitas are huge and overstuffed with meat and veg and beans on a bake roll. The guisado de bistec is finely diced steak mixed with beans and tomatoes and heavy spicy homemade salsa with tortillas. The food is flavorful and satisfying, with great portions. The fajitas and tacos are good. They are also known for their famous Detroit-style botana. The service is friendly and the staff is very accommodating. The vibe feels relaxed and welcoming. It is the best thing downtown Detroit, and it is worth the drive. It is consistently pleasing, even for picky eaters.
