“We weren’t quite sure what to expect when we came to the Cove, but our first visit was so much fun, we came back a second time! Perfect little neighborhood bar, met some really nice people (Vicky and John) who were so engaging and fun, and let’s not forget Phil the bartender- he was so personable and friendly! Great jukebox, the coldest beer in Michigan, yummy hot dogs, and all around a great little spot to visit- You can enjoy drinks with the locals but you’ll feel like you’re at home. Next time we come to the area, we’re coming back! ?“
“Excellent in every aspect. 4 stars plus. Lawrence was our bartender and waiter and he should be in management. Reservations are a must. The meals are very large so my wife and I split a wedge salad and filet mignon and truffle fries. The salad and filet were perfect but we have had better truffle fries. Definitely the #1 restaurant in Saugatuck. We shall return.“

The staff were so nice and my only frustration with this restaurant, is that it's 2 1/2 hours from where we live so we can't get there more often, but we will be back.“

“Ate here for the first time yesterday. It is a little hard to find. It is in little strip mall among hotels on Hastings ave. Right across from the Children's Food Basket. What a delightful surprise. Probably the classiest neighborhood bar I've been in. It has a good feel about it. You know how sometimes you go into a place and the staff looks at you like "what are you doing here?" Not this place, they like customers. The burgers were fantastic. They have a cook who actually knows how to cook. We will be back the next time we are in the area. The service was also excellent.“
“We were here in 2021 & couldn’t wait to go back. Unfortunately when we did, it didn’t live up to our expectations. The service was great, but the food was average. I was really excited to see the Grouper Reuben back on the menu, but there was more batter than fish on it. The first time I got it, it was amazing, but I was really disappointed this time. Also, the Island Grouper platter was laughable - the fish was so small. On the plus side, the fish tacos, jalapeño poppers, & chicken egg rolls were good!“
“This place was great, a great sense of community. Everyone connected with each other, strangers from far or near can gather and become friends. And they have keno which was fun too. They even had tequila high noons!! Best jack and coke ratio I’ve ever received at a bar. I usually try to avoid ordering them when I’m out because most bartenders can’t get the ratio right so I was really happy when it was perfect. Had a really nice time here.“
“This place is open year round which is great because due to this being a resort town, things tend to have odd hours or only open during the season. I ordered the cheese bread and the pepperoni pizza. WOW such great food oh, and my husband got the Italian roast beef sandwich which was just as amazing! Good staff, great atmosphere, almost no food, great beer list at somewhat high, not well marked, prices... and far too many of them (some as low as 7%abv) served in small (6oz? 8oz?) pours. Wine selection a bit lacking. Decent whisk(e)y selection. For busy events, at least, everything is in plastic which downgrades the experience a bit.Wheelchair accessibility: Not really accessible. One zero entry door into side/event room, but that side room is a step lower than main room with the bar in it, and often no table service, so you better have an able-bodied companion with you or you might not get a drink.“
