“what a wonderful experience we had at Cafe Cortina! from the complimentary valet, to the matre'd and all of the staff. The food was excellent, the ambiance perfect, and our guardian angel, Besnik, provided excellent suggestions all throughout the night! He never rushed us, and never hovered, he was just magically there whenever we needed anything. It was a perfect dinning expirence and we are grateful for it!”

“I normally frequent the brownstone location. however in my work travels sometimes I stop by the 14 n Woodward location. today I got a bowl and had a few problems. 1 the lid wasn't on all the way so now got food all over my clothes and inside my vehicle. also the pieces of meat were big and not sliced up. How tf is someone supposed to eat that with a plastic fork ? it would of took 30 seconds to slice that up for a bowl, instead it was left whole. normally the food is great, but today was not good.”

“Went to this restaurant with some neighbors last month. I used to go to Vince's Italian Rest on Springwell in Detroit and they closed and missed their food which included homemade pasta. Saw that they had homemade pasta so decided to try the lasagna. It tasted the same as the restaurant i missed and was delicious. Can't wait to go back. A little pricey but so well worth it!!!”

“Tried ash reshteh, maust-o-moosir, salad Shirazi, koubideh combo, and lamb shank. All were very flavorful. Chicken koubideh was my least favorite. Service was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was quiet (we arrived just as they opened on Sunday). Overall, enjoyable and not too expensive. We got quite a bit of food. Oh, and the fresh bread was greet.”

“I was invited here with a few friends to try the lunch buffet. They charge $13.99 for salad, pizza, and a drink. The pizza is a New Haven thin crust with a really flavorful sauce. They offer a variety of pizzas to try that keep coming out from 11am to 2pm. You can ask for a certain topping if you don’t see one you like and they’ll make it! The salad bar area is kept fresh and clean. They had many topping options to put over romaine lettuce. Everything is washed and cut just before serving. You can see it and taste it. I’ve been back a couple times since then and enjoyed it each visit. It’s one of the best pizzas I’ve had and pairs nicely with the salad bar. It’s definitely worth trying for the great price, service, and food.”

“They have a drive-thru, which I found interesting for a sushi spot. We dined inside on a Saturday around 12:30 PM and were the only ones there—it seems to cater more to carry-out orders. That said, they offer some great lunch specials.
We started with the dumplings, which were fried perfectly. Then we split three rolls: the California roll was your standard classic, the fried chicken roll came in large, saucy bites, and the Salmon on the Rocks was a bit tricky to eat—the salmon didn’t stay on well.
Overall, it’s a good spot for quick, affordable sushi. I’m looking forward to trying the sushi bowl next time.”

“I can't recommend the Sunrise Cafe enough. Stopped in on a whim for breakfast while on a family adventure and everyone left happy and full. The menu is extensive and everything was freshly made and very yummy. But what really put it over the top was the service! From the greeting at the door, to the prompt attention, and one of the best servers ever! 10 out of 10! We will be back!”

I had the California burrito and asked to add cilantro and had no issues, in fact the person taking the order loaded me up with additional toppings and sauces that the burrito was filling enough for 2 meals. Also had the trio sampler (guacamole, cheese, salsa) with chips. Very filling. Great flavor profile. Will definitely be adding this to my list to return again.”

They seem to do a hopping takeout business and others--mostly apparently of Indian descent--joined us dining in the attractive dining room.”

“I usually LOVE this place. But the food has been very inconsistent lately at the Troy, MI location. I get the same thing every week. And every week it’s a little different. I get the mixed platter. Last week there was no sauce, and I always order extra on the side, but the little cup was only half full. So, no sauce on the platter, and barely any on the side. This week there were more onions than gyro/chicken. Barely any meat; very meager portion. And still, side of sauce only half full. Super disappointed. I’ll give them one more chance, then I’ll have to stop giving them my business.”

Like, the naan alone was the best either of us had ever had, so fluffy yet crispy, and you get so much of it. I had the konaseema goat biryani, et mon dieu. C'était tellement fantastique. The meat was so tender, and the rice immensely punchy with taste. The spice of everything matched beautifully with flavor, especially with the gobi that also remained so crispy. Not to mention, the owners were so polite and attentive. A diamond in the rough that is the West Bloomfield area that is so afraid of flavor.”

“Came in before 5pm on a Wednesday, I really was craving biryani although there were many other suggestions I chose kebab n curry.

The Decor was simple but straightforward. They were busy in the back with Togo orders a plenty but immediately I was greeted with a smile and after a short interaction I knew what I wanted, I dint really need a menu, biryani was it, after a few minutes and grabbing a Pakola (cream soda to drink) The food arrived!

The Mutton biryani is great, the meat is still flavorful and tender, with large chunks. The rice was cooked perfectly, not too salty or oily or dry at all, peppercorns, cloves, cilantro all mixed in with a side of Raita, to my delight there was still shank with bone marrow in it to enhance the dish’s profile with a sweeter note.

“I felt the thai fried rice price was very fair for the portion and our waiter was very nice and I wasn't sure what kind of spice I would have so she gave me some pepper so that if it is not spicy enough I can add that and the restaurant was very very nice and food came in like 5-6 minutes and had take out and the food was so hot that even after an hour or 2 and and it had a soup which was very nice and the food just was sooo yummy in my opinion and this place is a MUST TRY!!!”
