“I noticed Bangkok Sala Cafe while I was eating at another spot a couple doors down in the strip mall, and I’m really glad I decided to check it out. The Thai food options near my office within walking distance just haven’t been good, so I didn’t have high expectations—but this place completely changed that.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted right away. The restaurant has a really cool, welcoming vibe. I ordered the lunch special Pad Thai with chicken (mild), which came with hot and sour soup. The soup came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. Not long after, the Pad Thai arrived—and it was packed with flavor, fresh, and cooked perfectly.
The service was top‑notch. The staff made sure my water glass was always full and checked in to make sure everything was great. I was really impressed with how fast the food came out without sacrificing quality.
Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. This was my first visit, but it definitely won’t be my last. I’ll absolutely be coming back.“

“I first stopped here because I was on my way to Detroit and desperately needed to use a rest room! The interior blew me away how beautifully decorated it was. It’s a small space but the service was extremely friendly! I’d say it’s upscale Thai. Their Thai cold coffee is delicious! 🤤 it’s honestly one of the best ambiances I’ve had in a restaraunt even though it’s small. My only complaint is they did not ask what spice level we wanted our dishes to be (which is strange) so my friend and my food was a bit spicy to share with our kids. I’d definitely go back tho. Can’t get over how adorable they did with the interior decorating and attention to detail with the food and space! “Ordered the tofu basil fried rice. The medium spice was truly medium (to me), and I liked how they used full basil leaves instead of just basil seasoning. The cold cucumber slices were also a nice addition, as it has a nice cold refreshing contrast to the hot rice, and helps cut down on that spiciness that starts to build after a while. I also felt the portion size to lunch price was fair. Customer service was friendly, as well.“
