“This is some of the best sushi in Metro Detroit, it’s our favorite sushi place and we go there almost weekly. The food is always delicious and the staff and service is phenomenal. I have never left this restaurant disappointed or hungry. If I could give this place more than five out of five stars, I would. 11/10 would recommend. Some of our favorite roles include, Caribbean roll, Cancun roll, rainbow roll, just the name a few examples they’re all delicious just order whatever suits your taste, you won’t be disappointed.“

“The service, energy, and food are always excellent. It’s my boyfriend’s go-to spot when we’re craving comfort food for the last 2 years. Every staff member remembers us, and tonight the owner even surprised us with a free dessert because he remembered us. This is what a real, community-focused business looks like. Love this place!“

“This place is the gem of Novi. It doesn’t get any cheaper than this too. Unfortunate that you can’t sit in anymore and wish they were open for more hours, but staff are very sweet. If you love nigiri the salmon is incredible for $2. Udon is homey and just feels right.“

“We had a fantastic New Years Eve dinner at Aji Ten. We visited Japan a few years ago and the food here at Aji Ten in Canton tastes just as delicious! The portions are good, the presentation is good, the prices are fair and the service is exceptional. A great way to welcome in 2026!“

“The Good:
They've got legit Japanese chefs and a massive menu, so you've got tons of options. The staff is friendly and they don't drag their feet getting your food out. Plus, the prices won't break the bank for most things.

The Hamachi and Katsuo no Tataki were fresh wins, the Onion-Lever is a standout with fantastic texture, and that Akadashi Miso Soup with herbs and seaweed sounds like a real treat!

The Not-So-Good:
Watch out for some misses. The Soba soup apparently has a funky, sour thing going on. The Potato Salad is a letdown in the flavor department, and the fried oysters miss the mark on texture.

The Bottom Line:
Fumi's a mixed bag. You can have a great meal here, but you've gotta be smart about what you order. Stick to the fresh fish, the Onion-Lever, and that special miso soup, and you'll likely be happy. Venture off that path, and you might end up with something you regret. Choose wisely!“

“We ordered a table for 2 over lunch. The service was friendly, relaxed and real care was taken that we understood how the menu worked (there is plenty. We went for the Korean (fish) Hot Pot, which was excellent. There is a certain joy to be found, when you have a pot with wonderful bouillon bubbling away to cook your food in. There was a variety of fish and vegetables on a side plate, ready to be cooked. I will definitely revisit and sample some of the other dishes. Highly recommended.“

“This is a family owned restaurant and our experience was wonderful. We were greeted and seated simultaneously and expeditiously. The young male server was very attentive and answered any and all our questions-and I had a lot of them. I also didn’t know the sushi role I got was uncooked, they were happy to replace it with something more satisfactory. It was my first time trying dumplings and OMG it was a 10/10!!!! I DEFINITELY will come again!!“

“This is my favorite sushi place in the area. The sushi is delicious the staff are friendly. My go to stop. I highly recommend. I would give it 5 stars if they had the deal or special for 50% off that would be awesome. Price could be a little less but overall amazing experience.“

“They have a drive-thru, which I found interesting for a sushi spot. We dined inside on a Saturday around 12:30 PM and were the only ones there—it seems to cater more to carry-out orders. That said, they offer some great lunch specials.
We started with the dumplings, which were fried perfectly. Then we split three rolls: the California roll was your standard classic, the fried chicken roll came in large, saucy bites, and the Salmon on the Rocks was a bit tricky to eat—the salmon didn’t stay on well.
Overall, it’s a good spot for quick, affordable sushi. I’m looking forward to trying the sushi bowl next time.“

“We dined in and the service was so good, friendly and sweet, and the atmosphere is cozy and has a charming and personal feel. The food was so delicious, my fiancé had the nabeyaki udon, the broth was so delicious, and I had a crab and shrimp tempura chili bowl which was so tasty and fresh, and we got some sushi rolls too.
