We have seen this place multiple times when going to the Home Depot next door and decided to give it a try given the great reviews.

We were greeted and seated promptly. We ordered a sushi burrito, sushi bowl, gyoza, and a miso soup. Everything was brought to us quickly and tasted amazing. We really enjoyed gyoza and found the sushi burrito to be a unique and tasty offering.

At the end, we were also brought mochi ice creams which were a nice treat. This is a great sushi shop and I highly recommend you give it a try!“

“Had a great experience at Nara Sushi & Hibachi, and Marigona was a big part of it. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was taken care of throughout the meal. “Visiting the area for work. I ended up working late and was craving noodles.

The place has a nice store front and the inside is a little small but has an intimate feel. The staff were very on top of everything. Getting drinks, orders, refills, checks, smiles, etc. Like clockwork. I had the Mountain Roll and the Nabeyako Udon. I like the Mountain Roll best of the two but both very good. Will say, on the normal menu, you may have to ask what certain things are. Very lottle descriptions, compared to the sushi menu, that's very detailed.

You do get a feel of being rushed when you are there though. It's a small place, so I understand they need to rotate tables in and out otherwise it would be very congested here. The staff are not pushy by any means, but you get the sense when you should probably get ready to go. Otherwise, good place to bring a date and would recommend anyonebl ooking for a good sushi/noodle place.“

I love this place so much, it is now 2/3 of my kids favorite restaurant! They treat my children so kindly, giving them children’s chop sticks, and even asked them if they wanted to sit upstairs!

They have something for everyone. It is not only sushi. They have steaks, chicken, noodle dishes.. all I have had through the years has been awesome!

The only thing I miss is the Buffet they used to do once a year, and the smoked pear margarita! 😉“

“This is a family owned restaurant and our experience was wonderful. We were greeted and seated simultaneously and expeditiously. The young male server was very attentive and answered any and all our questions-and I had a lot of them. I also didn’t know the sushi role I got was uncooked, they were happy to replace it with something more satisfactory. It was my first time trying dumplings and OMG it was a 10/10!!!! I DEFINITELY will come again!!“

Tonight, 3/14/26 I had spicy miso ramen. Which was spicy without being too much, and featured the standard ramen addins [charshu, fish cake, and egg] instead of seafood which seems common in many spicy ramen dishes. Again, the sushi and entrees my family ordered were well received. Sushi Den also has really tasty miso soup, which seems an afterthought in many Japanese restaurants.“

“I had the best sushi date night. The restaurant is sooo cozy and aesthetic. The lighting and decorations gave us such a cute, romantic vibe and honestly reminded us of when we first started dating. The nigiri was SO fresh and delicious. We ordered 12 pieces and the fish-to-rice ratio was perfect! We also tried the I Love Shrimp and Dynamite rolls with some cold sake, and everything was amazing. The miso soup and salad were also a must to start! And the chicken teriyaki was really delicious too. Their service was wonderful and everyone was so kind. I’m honestly surprised I just discovered this place! We are so happy to have such a great sushi spot nearby🩷. “I have been to the Kura in Novi and the sister store near Big Beaver. The Novi location did not offer any of the fried items. Bummer on this visit. (except for popcorn shrimp)
It is a novel experience, fun. The food is good too. You can order food from the app as you pull food from the revolving delivery system. All the food is plated one or two small pieces on a covered plate. The cheese cakes are delicious and the butter cake is just as wonderful. It is not all fish so you can get steak selections as well. With every 25 plates you get a prize. It can get expensive. (about 3.50 plate) it is easy to get caught up in the excitement of it all and over eat. Location in Novi seems a bit smaller than the other one. Both are clean with friendly staff.“
