There lots to explore if you take the paths they’ve made around the beautiful property. They let you bring in your own food too which I always love with little kids. “Very spacious winery, inside and out. After we filled out our tasting choices two large groups came in behind us. It took us a bit of time to get our flights and two of them were incorrect. The server tried to correct it but it was still a little mixed up. The staff was friendly.
We did like a few of the wines enough to purchase some bottles.“

Nestled in the middle of the countryside where good food and excellent customer service can be rare finds, Pullman Tavern stands out as a true hidden gem. I happened upon it late in the evening, hungry and with no other dining options in sight. As I walked in, the staff kindly informed me they were nearing closing time. I explained there was nowhere else to eat in the area, and instead of turning me away, they went above and beyond to make sure I had a great meal.

The bartender and the cook could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. Their warm hospitality immediately set the tone for my visit, and it was clear they genuinely cared about making my experience enjoyable. Even at the end of a long day, they treated me like a welcome guest rather than an inconvenience.

To my surprise, the burger I ordered was absolutely outstanding, perfectly cooked, flavorful, and far better than I ever expected from a small town tavern. The sides were equally satisfying, and my drink was mixed with just the right touch of elegance, exactly how I like it. While this is very much a tavern atmosphere, the quality of the food could rival a dedicated restaurant.

The Pullman Tavern also offers amenities like a pool table and a comfortable, relaxed vibe. The space is spotless, the atmosphere is inviting, and the friendliness of the staff is unmatched. This visit truly turned my trip through the area into an unexpectedly great experience.

If you ever find yourself in the middle of nowhere craving a great meal and genuine human kindness, Pullman Tavern is the place to go. I will absolutely go out of my way to stop in again the next time I am in the area. Without hesitation, I give it a full five stars.“

“Stopped into Spectators in Saugatuck and discovered the Pot Roast Sandwich special—pure magic! Tender, slow-roasted beef just like grandma’s, with zesty caper mayo, caramelized onions, and a soft, fresh bun. Comfort food meets gourmet—don’t walk, RUN to try it!“

“We live in Saugatuck and enjoy going for brunch occasionally. We recommend the cornmeal pancakes and blueberry muffins. The omlet/scrambles are fantastic. The winter hours significantly reduce their schedule (open Friday thru Sunday). Because it is so popular, in the summertime, you will have to wait to get in. The location, is right across the street from the water, and in summer there is lots of activity and the town is filled with love and romance. Great place to come with your loved ones. Food here is great. Must go even if you have to wait....it's worth it.“

I was so happy to learn they locally sourced everything. Our salad was from a farm in Caledonia, MI, and the salmon came from Big O's and live caught in the Great Lakes. Everything was delicious, and our server was amazing. Definitely recommend!“

The Mediterranean couscous salad and Brussel kale Caesar are beyond delicious. The Maui sandwich was superb. Today my hubby got the burger and said it was the best burger he has ever eaten. The wait staff were professional, friendly, and attentive each time we dined there. This is a must try in Saugatuck. In a sea of restaurants serving the same tired menus, Pumpernickels is unique and delicious.“
