“The rice bowls here are absolutely amazing! I’ve had them about four times now, and not once have I been disappointed. The restaurant is always clean, and the staff are very professional. This has definitely become one of our go-to spots.“

“Two nights ago , my wife and I dined at Al Shallal, a Lebanese family owned and operated restaurant. We were warmly greeted by hostess/server Nourhan and offered menus. My wife ordered an absolutely delicious falafel plate that was accompanied by a marvelous tahini sauce and rice. I chose the perfectly spiced and prepared mixed grill (beef kabob, chicken tawook and beef kafta served with a pungent garlic sauce and rice. Our order included, as a prelude, a choice of salad or soup. We opted for the homemade (all items we ordered were made from scratch) chicken lemon soup: shredded chicken, and rice in a deeply flavorful lemony chicken broth (yum). Our servings were generously portioned and absolutely scrumptious. Following the meal, we ordered homemade, once again, baklava and a small pot of a cardamom infused Lebanese coffee. Food heaven. Nourhan was an absolutely wonderful server (daughter of the owners who were the chefs). We have dined at many Lebanese, Iraqi and Iranian restaurants. Al Shallal, in Dearborn Heights , Michigan ranks at the very top for quality, price, taste, presentation, authenticity and service. Thank you Nourhan and family.“

“Tried Wokabob for the first time today and my mind is blown. This place makes better Thai food than the Thai places. Probably the best Thai fried rice I’ve ever had. Flavor and spice level are on point. The portions are huge. I’ll be eating this for 3 days. We also had the chicken and steak shawarma bowl. Much better than the other places that don’t even make it on the rotisserie. I ordered 2 dinners and 2 egg rolls and the bag I walked out with felt like about 12 pounds. This is going to be my new go-to place for Thai and Mediterranean. Great job Wokabob!!!“

“First time went for Iftar with the family and amazingly everything was on point mashallah. We heard mix reviews from our friends and family but honestly we didn't taste anything better than this place in michigan. For the buffet they had various options to choose from and the price was really affordable. We tried the best zilabi on town. My picky eater son finished everything which means it's really good. “Golden Subs is a small, humble spot. The chef serves up some of the tastiest food I’ve had in a long time. It instantly brought back memories of the little “snack” shops we used to visit in the village back in Lebanon.

The gentleman behind the counter was incredibly kind and helpful, double checking how much spice I wanted, and letting me know it would take about 15 minutes as it’s made fresh. Took the food home and everything was absolutely delicious! The lamb was tender and well marinaded, the seasoning was flavorful, and the vegetables and garlic sauce complemented everything wonderfully. Between the great service and quality, I will definitely be back again for this hidden gem!“

“I've been here multiple times for steaks, this was a go to for my mom's BBQ parties annually for many years. Since they expanded into a restaurant and market we primarily just get the prepared foods since it's a little out of the way now but as a shawarma fan I can say they are top notch and have amazing food. They load up portions and everything has been stellar from flavor to freshness and at a fair price. I will go out of my way to get dinner from here. Highly recommend trying.“

“In Detroit for 2 nights and was looking for a spot to eat around my hotel - luckily I found Bucharest through Google Maps. The food was really good - I got the salad with chicken shawarma - the portion was insane! I didn’t take a picture but there was so much chicken (and I got the “small” size) It was really tasty and juicy and with the side of garlic sauce it really hit my cravings. The bartender (I sat at the bar) was super nice, friendly and awesome yet respectful and in general everyone out here seemed really welcoming. Prices were very fair and affordable (got 2 drinks as well)
