10 Best Chinese Restaurants near Fort Gratiot

“We had a taste for some Chinese food in the Port Huron area. We haven't been to China Lite Restaurant in years. Not bc we do not like it, it just has been off our radar.
We ate inside their bar/lounge The Gas Lite Lounge. It was nice and cool inside and outside was 98 degrees. We ordered a beer and glass of wine. Brought to us by the bartender Dom. She was very friendly and brought us our drinks and took our food order. They both came promptly.
The food. We ordered dinners. Orange Chicken and Beef and Mushroom Chop Suuey. First of all the WonTon soup was excellent. Dumplings 2 in each cup was actually my favorite part meal. So good. The Egg Rolls steaming hot and good. At this point I'm like omg I'm so glad we came. Main Course came out as we finished the appetizers. It was as good as the beginning of the meal. We ordered another round of drinks and chit chatted with Dom a bit and boxed up leftover. We were full and took home half the main dishes.
Here is the best part. 42.00 for 2 full dinners and drinks. Left a nice tip and went home happy and glad we tried The China Lite/Gas Lite Lounge in Fort Gratiot. They have another location in Marysville as well.“

The Orange Chicken was crispy and perfectly coated in sauce, the fried rice was well-seasoned, and the broccoli beef was cooked just right with fresh vegetables. “They had options I didn't expect, while leaving things i expected. Very clean, staff tended to the line often and food was fresh and warm. It was a birthday treat, so I'm not aware of price. Was not overly busy, and my toddler felt comfortable.“

“I eat here incredibly frequently, like 3 times a week for almost two months, and there’s a reason. The food is always ready on time, the same quality every time, and such sweet staff. I have never had a problem with them or my food, definitely my number one place to eat in port Huron.“

“This place is a gem! Its a small carryout restaurant, very fast and friendly. I really liked their wonton soup with crispy fried noodles, and their crab rangoon was unique and very tasty! The General Tso combo was good but the breaded chicken was a little tough instead of soft (possibly a bit over done). It tasted good though! The prices are very reasonable and my order was ready in 10min, not 35-45 minutes like a lot of the other Chinese carryout restaurants! Overall a really good place!“

“2026- There is plenty of parking and a covered drop off area. The night we went to China Lite they didn't have enough staff so they only let a few people in at one time. The lady that was waiting tables was pleasant and quick to serve. This place really does need some cleaning. I won't be coming back to this restaurant again because I found a fly in my food.

2025- The dinner portions are more than enough. The food is tasty. The restaurant could use some updates.“
