“we were in the area and just so happened to randomly choose the Sahara Bistro, and my goodness, we were not disappointed. We were greeted and seated by our lovely server, Adelin, she brought us a complimentary toum and pita while we waited for our salad. The salad was fantastic, I ordered the undertaker burger with tots, AMAZING! Everything not consumed at the table was boxed to go, not a scrap going to waste today. The ambiance was very chill, the restaurant is well lit and the music isn't too loud. A perfect place for dinner with a chat.“
“Wow. The food, the atmosphere, and the staff (Robert and Ado in particular) are all outstanding. Robert greeted us as if we were already family, Ado made stellar recommendations, you really can’t get this garlic sauce and bread anywhere else, and the entrées hit the spot. The portion sizes were so generous that we have a full meal ready for lunch tomorrow. We will be back. Thank you for being exactly what two tired parents who didn’t want to cook needed tonight.“
“This place is The hidden gem. The walls aren't busy, you walk in, the menu is right there(prices are VERY reasonable and portions are FILLING).The two guys working are efficient, know where they're doing, and SO friendly.I would have to assume he's the owner, but the sweet man with the mustache who took our orders and brought over a To-go box, when requested, with a HUGE smile. This place has HEART and stellar food!!“
“They let me know about a new pesto pizza that wasn't even on the menu yet and you know I just had to try it. and omg... I've been looking for some good pizza for a while because I gotten so tired of boring chain pizza and I definitely found it, amazing.“
“Delicious. To die for. Amazing fries, craggly crispy and seasoned perfectly. The bread is a cross between a soft pita and a burger bun... but way better than those 2 individually could ever aspire to be. Tender meat. Service quick and friendly. Will be back for sure.“
“Tried the falafel and chicken shawarma here. Probably one of the best chicken shawarma I’ve had in a while. Falafel was tasty also. Good quantity for the price, one shawarma will fill you up for the day. Will be back.Parking: Hospital parking garage.“
“Great lunch spot. Lots of flavor, everything seemed very fresh and well seasoned. Very reasonable prices for a fresh weekday lunch ($13.95 for gyro, soup and drink). My wife ordered her gyro as a bowl and it was loaded with gyro meat and toppings.Dietary restrictions: Vegan add vegetarian options“
“Lunch with my son - first visit. Small inside. Order & pay at the counter, food brought out. Get your own napkins/utensils, serve yourself water. Clear your table. Food was delicious! I got a panini - grilled ham & cheese. My son got a Turkish coffee with his lunch. Great spot in Breton village.“
“What a wonderful surprise! Moving here from Chicago I’ve been searching for a good gyro and authentic middle eastern food. Service was excellent, the owner came and asked how our food was and the gyro, Greek fries and tabouli were fresh, flavorful, well proportioned and authentic. I will be back!“
“Excellent customer service and the food is absolutely delicious! Parsley is a hit with my entire family (kids range from 15 months, 4 years to 13). My husband and son love the rice bowls and the littles an myself love the house salad with chicken shawarma. The steak is juicy and tender and also is a family favorite.Kid-friendliness: My kids love the regular adult entrées, garlic sauce, pita and the French fries.“
“Initially approaching the counter to place my order, with no staff member to be seen, was a little off putting. However, after waiting a minute or so, I could see that they were busy in the back. As soon as they saw me, they came up right away. The staff member was very attentive, and happy to answer questions about food selections. The food was great and the service even better. I look forward to returning and trying other dishes they have to offer.“
“Ordered take out and got the $10 Gyro Special. It was amazing, the meat was so good. Was disappointed that it didn't come with fries or a side, though. I also ordered hummus and as a hummus fan, I have to say I was disappointed in the lack of flavor (Which is why I give the food 4/5 instead of 5/5.“
“We were downtown and needed something to eat. Not knowing anything about the restaurant or the food, we wanted to try something different and I am glad we did. The gentlemen behind the counter was patient as we asked questions because it's like Subway/Qdoba. You pick Gyro or bowl or and I apologize a falafel? The wife got a bow I got a Gyro. You tell the cook what you want on it which is just as hard if you don't know the food which I didn't. Was great! Wife's bowl was hummus and beans at bottom, chicken, cabbages, spices, a sauce.. I just asked for a "default" Gyro which I don't know what all came on it but it also was great. We enjoyed a change of flavor and will definitely be back as I have to know what the other menu items are. Small place but plenty of seating I recommend trying it you will not be disappointed.“
“Very fresh and well seasoned tons of options. Really enjoyed everything. we will definitely be back to try more of the options and work through the menu. Way better then any of the other options in Allendale. keep up the good work! p.s my 11 month old could not get enough of the yellow rice, he even tried the Lamb and was practically begging for more! two thumbs up!“
