“I haven't been to Maru in years. I always felt that the sushi was mediocre and over priced. HOWEVER, my wife and I went out there for their Valentines special 1w course dinner and was blown away. The food was amazing, the staff was amazing, and of course the atmosphere was amazing.I think maybe, we will have to come back for a standard lunch or dinner to see if their not just a one trick pony.“
“Stopped by this place incidentally and will be coming back! It was a quiet meal and the food was prepared fresh and quickly. I got the Pacific Roll with salmon, tuna, and avocado and both the fish and the avocado tasted of good quality. I also got a side of kimchi that tasted very good and had a good amount for the price.“
“This location of Poke Toki is over by our friends' house, so Nate and I stopped in to grab some takeout lunch before visiting them recently. The menu is a bit different than their other location over on Northland Drive. It can be a bit overwhelming as there are a LOT of options, but I'd recommend going for one of the signature bowls. I got the chirashi don, which has a ton of stuff like egg, scallions, edamame, ahi, salmon, octopus, and more. It only comes in the large size, but other bowls come in a regular size too.The employees were helpful and the bowl was tasty. The ingredients all tasted fresh but I think I might try to build my own bowl next time. The space was clean but we took our bowls to go. They didn't include chopsticks in our to go bag, so be sure to check or ask for those. I also got a box of chocolate mochi ice cream to share with our friends - they were really good and not too sweet.“
“Rather expensive but the quality is there. In most cases an order that would contain two pieces of sushi (Nori) is reduced to one piece so the price in some cases is double. They offer unique rolls, but I stay away from most of them. My love of sushi does not include cream cheese or mayonnaise. There are less expensive options in town to be sure but Jaku offers consistent quality and freshness. A nice treat once in a while but too expensive for me to make it a regular. Again, there are better priced options.“
“My husband and I went to Sushi Kuni for the first time and everything was delicious! Servers were very attentive and kind. We got 3 speciality rolls and they were all so good! Monkey roll (middle) was my favorite out of those 3 but the michigan roll (right) and crab mania (left middle) were both very tasty. We also got the uni roll (2 in the corner) and spicy salmon roll (far left) and my husband and I both agreed the spicy salmon roll was so simple but SO good! Out of all the rolls, it was our favorite!! Would recommend and visit again!“
“I was just stopping by from Texas and man, let me tell you, this sushi is so fresh! I work up here, so I will continue to stop by. Even though it was almost closing time, the guy and gal behind the counter were welcoming and friendly. Clean place and great atmosphere. You guys here in GRM have a real jewel! Keep up the excellent work simple fish!“
“Ato was wonderful.I went with some family and enjoyed. scrumptious variety of rolls, some piping hot green tea; which came with personal tea pitchers which was equally cute and utilitarian, Korean dumplings with a generous helping of sauce, and their perfectly balanced green tea ice cream. The store was clean, the vibe was sweet, the energy provided by the music made me feel welcome; in addition to the wide smiles of the wonderful servers. If you are looking for a date with some authentic savory food, this is the perfect place.“
“4.9/5 StarsLet me start with how the staff is amazing. Every time I go here they are always smiling and friendly. Then we get to the food. This sushi is absolutely outstanding! Some of the best I've had around here in a long time. thing I didn't like is the salmon sushi seemed a little fisher than normal. Wasn't a huge fan of it. But everything else was amazing!“
“We are visiting for a few weeks and have eaten here twice already. The owners are super friendly and their staff are as well. The first time I can I got the TTEOKBOKKI (spicy rice cakes) and the next time I got the sushi crunch burrito.. both were very good and not the spot. Their hot green tea is also very good here. My daughter always gets the same thing (basically a veggie roll with cream cheese) and she said it's really fresh and her favorite anywhere we've been before. They also play music from popular K-dramas which truly makes dining here a delightful experience for us as we try to guess which shows we've heard the songs on. Our visit to Michigan has been impacted so positively by eating here, no doubt we will continue to visit while we are in town.“
“This place has delicious food, and a very cool atmosphere. The service is a bit slow, but it makes sense 'cause their food is so good!Vegetarian options: I myself am vegetarian, and OMG their miso soup is so delicious!!!Kid-friendliness: Great for kids, every time I come here, I see at least two babies. They love sushi, I guess!“
