“Could not have been more pleased with the service (shout out to Lauren) and the hostess with the mostest (Stephanie) and if they were not enough to draw you in the chef is AAAAMAZING. We had the Risotto (and hubby declared it the best he’d ever had) and the Tartare and I would eat that every day if I could. The pickled vegetables - onions, asparagus, beans - were to die for. We’ll definitely be back. I think we found our new favorite place.“

“My wife and I were looking for a taste of home while we were away on honeymoon. We decided to come by Hexenbelle for its food and drink. We not only found the familiar flavors of fresh bread, savory olive, and creamy labneh, but we found a warmth from the surrounding atmosphere and staff. We were immersed in light toned woods, lush green plants, and ample sunlight, as if we were relaxing in a sunroom or a garden.
We had an opportunity to speak to the owner, Chris, who welcomed us and gave us his attention despite also running the kitchen. Chris has been doing a great service to bring hearts and minds together for peace, prosperity, and freedom, both within Traverse City and for the Palestinian people. His love and passion shows in every dish he crafts, and we are forever grateful for the warmth, friendship, and hospitality that he extended us.
Hexenbelle is truly a rare and valuable gem amongst the many cafes and eateries in the area. I believe Hexenbelle is the best and only choice for authentic Palestinian cuisine and hospitality in Traverse City.
Dishes tried:
-Shakshouka
-Foul Muddamas
-Bayd bil Labneh
-Hummus and Pita

“I treated my friends to dinner tonight and the service was just as fabulous as the food. Our server was Kateri (Kat) she took great care of us and also recommended some of the food items on the menu. Everything was delish. We are definitely going back. Thanks Kat for your great hospitality 😁“

“Amazing food and drinks, great atmosphere, but the absolute best thing about Taproot is the staff...you will find none better.“
“Went here on Sunday and it was by far the best brewery I tried my entire stay in TC. The workers were super nice. The beer is terrific. And that slushie they had was the single best drink I had all trip and in a very long time. Earthen Ales is a most stop“
“The best coffee, and the best people. Support local! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Fun spot with plenty of space and great beer. We visited on a weekend night and there was plenty of room but they were quite busy. There’s an excellent Mexican food truck called Bull and the Bear Kitchen. The Beef ‘n Queso sandwich is fantastic. Loved the beer, also, especially the Czech Pale Lager.“
“Amazing whisky, great atmosphere. A must stop when you are nearby.“
“Such a fun welcoming place to bring our dog. He loves running around the big yard and playing with other dogs. We love relaxing & enjoying the beverages. :) You can sit inside on cold days & still watch your dog through the big windows. And everything is impeccably clean! Can’t recommend K&A enough.“

“While searching for a place to grab a quick bite before I had to be to the school to get my son, I found Identity. And I'm so glad I did! When I walked in, I wasn't bombarded with questions, I was able to walk over to the cooler and look at their selection. I didn't see anything in there that I wanted, however it looked fresh and yummy. But I didn't want a sandwich. When I approached the counter I was met with a happy male employee. He showed me where the daily specials were and handed me a menu too. I was able to quickly glance over the menu with ease. It was big bold letter with prices attached. I ordered the quesadilla after being told it would take less than 5 minutes to make. This was important, I had to get to the school. He quickly went to the back and made my dilla and it's delicious!! I added black beans to it and the cost was still under my price point!
Vegetarian options: Every option you can get without the meat and it would be just as good. However they do have a black bean substitute. They had at least one vegetarian option in every section. This was needed as I am also a vegetarian.
Kid-friendliness: They have a children's menu. The menu is roughly 5 items long. Long enough to give options but not too long that children are flustered. (:“
“Staff is extremely helpful and friendly! Great location, if you’re already visiting the Mercato. The person helping us in the tasting room was very informative and answered all of our questions. Great place to stop and have a few glasses of wine after shopping all day!“

“When we opened That New Place in Williamston (restaurant and pastries) last spring, offering LoD tea was a no-brainer. We heard Angela speak at GLCI years ago and have been fans ever since. It has been so much fun introducing LoD tea to our guests and having them get as excited as us. Our favorites are Earl Grey, Maui Green and Heartwarming Cinnamon.“

“My Mom had the chili & black bean burger. She loved both! I had the French dip and I was great- the chips seemed homemade. A very quaint space too, but small so while we only waited about ten minutes, I would recommend reservations. Though there is plenty of shopping to keep you busy should you need to wait longer.“

“Fun, friendly and energetic staff. they make you excited to get your coffee/Energizer. My daughter was struggling to decide what she wanted and the person taking our order asked her probing questions (like what's your favorite candy, lemonade flavor, lollipop flavor) to help her decide what to get! Definitely recommend!“
“HUGE shout out to Right Brain Brewery. We were looking for a place for a large group (40-50ppl) for a Holiday Party for our Dance Company, The Studio, and was led to this place. They provided a 6’ table for food set up, and many tables reserved just for us. We brought in our own food, enjoyed their beer while the kiddos enjoyed the games they have there. It was the PERFECT spot! Thanks again to all the staff! We will be back!“

“I had the most delightful experience at Bardons, and it was all thanks to the absolutely incredible customer service provided by Elizabeth and Montana. From the second I stepped up to the window, I felt like I was being treated like royalty. I ordered the large blueberry malt, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of a magical treat! Elizabeth's radiant smile and Montana's cheerful efficiency made my visit a true pleasure. Their genuine kindness and impeccable service turned an ordinary trip into a memorable adventure. If you’re looking for not just great food but an experience filled with warmth and care, Bardons with Elizabeth and Montana is the place to go!“

“Dropped in on a Saturday around Noon after walking the boardman trail. There wasn’t a wait & we were able to grab any seat we wanted. I got a Brie-apple crepe & my partner got a Nutella-banana crepe. We both got lattes with oat milk. The service was attentive & the workers were very sweet. My crepe was truly delicious - will crave it and think about it in the future!“

“Oaky’s is out of the way near Grawn, but it’s worth the drive. Old timers knew the place as Giovanni’s Roadhouse, then Maddy’s Tavern. Both had ok food in a rustic building. Oaky’s owners have greatly improved the place. It’s large and airy inside, with a long wraparound deck outside. The food is mighty fine: the kitchen did a first-class job with our Smoked Turkey Club and Steak ’n Mushroom soup. The servers know their stuff and are a pleasure to deal with. The prices are a reasonable - indeed, they’re a buck or two lower per item than what you’ll find at competitors. And the parking lot isn’t the potholed monster like it was back in the old days.“
