“The location is great and the interior is beautiful. Bathrooms are very nice and individual stalls with sinks.
Our server was fabulous. He was honest about the food and answered all our questions. He isn't a drinker but was able to provide recommendations.
Our food was awesome. Our 2.5 and 10 yr old had options and were quite pleased.
I ordered the roasted chicken, which was truly delicious. My wife ordered the rigatoni and loved every bite.
Our kids were getting kiddy so we had to skip dessert but the server brought these cookie balls things on our way out.. Class act!
Weather permitting, eating on the patio is a must. Great views and comfy seating.
All in all, this was our favorite spot as a first timer to New Buffalo.”

“Frankly, DogSlinger Offers Winning Wieners Warmer days had my wife Shelly and me jonesing for summer grub, so we decided to investigate DogSlinger, located near the corner of St. Joseph Ave. and John Beers Rd. in the heart of uptown Stevensville, Michigan. Upon entering, we were greeted with giant artsy photos of each type of dog on the menu, and our mouths immediately began to water. The wall of photos made ordering easy since we could see each type of hot dog. Conversely, it made it more difficult to order because there were so many unique dogs and sausages that we wanted to try. Per usual, we did some splitsies. We started off with the Seattle Dog, which found the Vienna all-beef hot dog nestled in a cream cheese laden brioche bun and topped with freshly cut and grilled onions and peppers. The warmth of the hot dog caused the cream cheese to soften and melt into the bun. The saltiness of the dog was nicely accentuated by the mild, sweet, and tangy hints of cream cheese. I said “Yeehaw,” when I bit into the Cowboy Dog, which was wrapped in bacon, topped with cheese sauce, BBQ sauce, and some house-made crispy onion strips…oh, and then more chunks of bacon! The hickory smoke flavor of the bacon and the sweetness of the BBQ were well balanced. You’d better saddle up before trying to rustle this beast. I never thought one hot dog could fill me up, but this was one big meaty dog! The Termintater (not a typo) is DogSlinger’s version of a loaded baked potato. Somewhere near the bottom of this creation was a hot dog suffocated by a myriad of tater tots and meat chili. Nacho cheese sauce, sour cream and their house-made Slinger Sauce was drizzled over the heap before it was garnished with fresh-sliced scallions. In football, we call this “piling on!” Of course, we couldn’t leave without having the traditional Chicago Dog. It’s hard to beat this classic when it’s made with premium ingredients. A true Chicago dog must start with an authentic Vienna Beef brand all-beef frank in a steamed poppy-seed bun and topped with neon green sweet relish, chopped onion, yellow mustard, tomato slices, a kosher spear, pickled peppers known as “sport peppers” and a dash of celery salt. Do not embarrass yourself by asking for ketchup on it. Actually, they will make it for you that way, but they may razz you a bit.”

“The friendliest encounter we’ve ever had at the drive thru window. We love supporting local businesses and this one in particular was a treat. The food is amazing and all cooked to order. Bring your imaginations because if they have the ingredients the sky’s the limit.”

“Just had dinner here at the Red Arrow Roadhouse. Hubby ordered the meatloaf dinner and he liked it very much. I ordered the Roadhouse Classic Reuben minus the sauerkraut and 1000 island dressing! The house-cooked corned beef, warm, very lean, and incredibly tender on griddled marbled rye, with melted Swiss cheese was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! The fries were perfectly cooked and hot. Our server was a dream. Friendly and welcoming. She made us want to come back! The next time we’re in New Buffalo, we will definitely visit this restaurant again.”

“The food was very good. The best part by far was the Brie in puff pastry with cherry sauce appetizer. Service was a little slow and the seating is packed a bit too close, but the view of Lake Michigan makes up for it.”

“Fantastic all around. My family has been customers of the Flour Shop for years, and when it came time for my wedding, I had no doubt they would be excellent for the job. Our cake was breathtaking, they were easy to work with, exceptionally kind, and delivered and assembled the cake with no problems. We saved our top tier of cake, and enjoyed a year later, and it was just as delicious as our wedding day.”

“In search of exceptional gelato, I specifically journeyed to Union Pier, which housed the closest gelateria, making it an ideal destination for my craving. This charming little shop, nestled in the heart of Union Pier, turned out to be the perfect spot for a delightful affogato pit stop.
Upon entering the gelato shop, I was immediately struck by the enticing array of flavors, each thoughtfully curated and beautifully presented. The employee on duty was incredibly helpful, offering recommendations that showcased their knowledge and passion for gelato. Their friendly guidance was immensely appreciated, making the visit even more special.
The highlight of the visit was the kalua tiramisu gelato, an insanely delicious choice that captured the essence of traditional tiramisu with a delightful kalua twist. Opting to pair this rich, decadent gelato with a freshly brewed espresso, I indulged in an affogato. The combination was heavenly—the warm, robust espresso perfectly complemented the creamy, flavorful gelato, creating a luxurious dessert experience.
The shop itself was very cute, with a cozy ambiance that made it a lovely place to relax and enjoy my gelato. The quaint decor and inviting atmosphere added to the charm of the visit, making it a memorable part of my special trip to Union Pier.”

“We were fortunate enough to be invited to the soft opening of Viola Café this week. While we have always loved the charm of this little gem in Three Oaks, the new owners have knocked it out of the park on every level. Service was friendly, attentive and had great suggestions for us. The décor was modern, yet not stark, a very nice soothing atmosphere, comfortable seating and tables spaced enough apart to enjoy your meal in your space. Prices were very good and the portions generous. Now the food – EVERYTHING we tasted was phenomenal. The dishes had the right amount of flavor, spice and uniqueness (due to the recipes of the owners’ family members). I’m not one who can eat too hot and the only dish I found too hot was the Nashville chicken po boy sandwich. While I couldn’t eat much of that, the bread they serve it on is amazing. We also had the unique and very tasty 3 bean salad, an AMAZING “old school” potato salad, the chicken/sausage gumbo, beignets you’d be hard pressed to think were not from Louisiana, fantastic collard greens and chicken salad. Everything was incredibly fresh and prepared perfectly. And that was just lunch. Had we arrived a bit earlier we could’ve tried breakfast, but we WERE able to get a smidge of a taste of the sausage gravy that goes on the biscuits. I don’t even eat that but was blown away by that taste. NEXT TIME BREAKFAST!”
