“Really delicious donuts. The blackberry filled one was so good- as was the apple fritter. We went on a Saturday at the end of August. There was a bit of a line but it was worth the wait.”

“Just had dinner here at the Red Arrow Roadhouse. Hubby ordered the meatloaf dinner and he liked it very much. I ordered the Roadhouse Classic Reuben minus the sauerkraut and 1000 island dressing! The house-cooked corned beef, warm, very lean, and incredibly tender on griddled marbled rye, with melted Swiss cheese was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! The fries were perfectly cooked and hot. Our server was a dream. Friendly and welcoming. She made us want to come back! The next time we’re in New Buffalo, we will definitely visit this restaurant again.”

“Mangata Beer Co. in Union Pier is a really nice spot and a great addition to the area. The space is honestly beautiful without trying too hard, lots of warm wood, leather seating, and those seafoam tile details that give it a coastal feel but still keep it feeling modern and comfortable. Most definitely aesthetically pleasing.

It’s the kind of place that works whether you’re just popping in for a drink or settling in for a while. Everything feels intentional, but still relaxed and easy.

The beer itself was excellent, well made, balanced, and easy to enjoy. There was a nice variety, and everything we tried was solid.

Service stood out too. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made the experience feel welcoming without being overbearing.

Overall, it’s an easy place to recommend and definitely one we’ll be adding this to our rotation for future visits to the area.”

“I've noticed their wine has definitely gone down in quality. The Demi-Red is completely watered down. When I first started buying it... you couldn't see thru it. And I've been buying it for years. You can get it cheaper elsewhere than the actual winery. It's sold almost everywhere now... including gas stations. But the fact that it's watered down to the point you can see thru it & that affects the taste, I won't be buying it anymore. The white Demi seems somewhat ok. But... if they'll water down the red, they'll water down all the others. I'm gonna have to find a new favorite wine... most likely ~ Elsewhere.”

I had put an enormous amount of thought into creating a very special day for my partner, and our brunch at Bentwood was an important part of that experience. I reached out ahead of time with a few special requests, and the team executed everything beautifully. The table was ready, the timing was perfect, the details were handled exactly as I had hoped, and the staff made the entire experience feel completely seamless.

What meant the most to me was how genuinely invested they seemed in helping me create the moment. Nothing felt awkward, rushed, or like I was asking too much. They understood that this was more than just brunch for us, and they treated it that way.

The service was warm, attentive, and thoughtful, the food was excellent, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. My partner felt incredibly special, which was exactly what I wanted, and Bentwood Tavern played a real part in making that happen.

I am deeply grateful to the team for the care they put into our visit. When you spend weeks planning something for someone you love, having a restaurant take your vision seriously and execute it this beautifully means more than I can explain.

“Mom and I stopped in this weekend as we headed west on a weekend trip. The coffee was awesome we really enjoyed the maple latte and the pear almond tart was also yummy great recommendations by staff. Also any place that welcomes the fur kids earns extra points!”

“Good food, larger location, and a drive thru! We ordered tacos (chicken and steak) traditional style with onions and cilantro (we did not opt for the included tomatoes, cheese and sour cream). We also ordered chips and salsa and refried beans. All items alacarte. Reasonable prices, adequate seating and adjacent parking. Tacos and fresh made chips really good as was the salsa. Beans (I did not eat but others did) reported as average. Will return!”

“Angela's Provisions is fantastic! I recently met the owner, Kevin, and his pup at Uncle Jibs Outpost. Kevin was incredibly friendly and welcoming. After our chat, I realized I had never tried food from his spot, so I decided to have the Caesar Salad with chicken for lunch today and it was amazing! Everything was fresh and flavorful, and the lettuce was perfectly crisp. Adding the chicken was the perfect touch, providing just the right amount of protein. I’m excited to try more items from the menu soon! My employee ordered the Italian Wedding soup and loved it as well. I’ve found a new favorite place for breakfast and lunch. Thank you!”

“This was our first visit to the Staymaker, which is the restaurant within the Journeyman Distillery. We are visiting from Chicago and this was recommended and we were not disappointed! Everything was really excellent! From our charming and attentive server Hailey, to the amazing smoked trout spread app to the Trout entree and the brisket meatloaf. It was all so delicious! “Last dined at Skips in January 2026 , let me say this , first biggest complaint is that after looking at my credit statement I saw that they tacked on an extra $20 charge on my credit card without my permission , after questioning them they did remove the charge , second the food was fair at best , I ordered the Walleye which I'm not sure it was even Walleye , it tasted and looked more like Tilapia ( 2 small filets ) , wife had the Salmon which she said was just ok . I bragged about this place to the others that were with us and they agreed it was nothing to write home about , ,will I go back to Skips , no but they probably don't carel”
