“Mangata Beer Co. in Union Pier is a really nice spot and a great addition to the area. The space is honestly beautiful without trying too hard, lots of warm wood, leather seating, and those seafoam tile details that give it a coastal feel but still keep it feeling modern and comfortable. Most definitely aesthetically pleasing.

It’s the kind of place that works whether you’re just popping in for a drink or settling in for a while. Everything feels intentional, but still relaxed and easy.

The beer itself was excellent, well made, balanced, and easy to enjoy. There was a nice variety, and everything we tried was solid.

Service stood out too. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made the experience feel welcoming without being overbearing.

Overall, it’s an easy place to recommend and definitely one we’ll be adding this to our rotation for future visits to the area.”

“I've noticed their wine has definitely gone down in quality. The Demi-Red is completely watered down. When I first started buying it... you couldn't see thru it. And I've been buying it for years. You can get it cheaper elsewhere than the actual winery. It's sold almost everywhere now... including gas stations. But the fact that it's watered down to the point you can see thru it & that affects the taste, I won't be buying it anymore. The white Demi seems somewhat ok. But... if they'll water down the red, they'll water down all the others. I'm gonna have to find a new favorite wine... most likely ~ Elsewhere.”

“Just had dinner here at the Red Arrow Roadhouse. Hubby ordered the meatloaf dinner and he liked it very much. I ordered the Roadhouse Classic Reuben minus the sauerkraut and 1000 island dressing! The house-cooked corned beef, warm, very lean, and incredibly tender on griddled marbled rye, with melted Swiss cheese was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! The fries were perfectly cooked and hot. Our server was a dream. Friendly and welcoming. She made us want to come back! The next time we’re in New Buffalo, we will definitely visit this restaurant again.”

“Been here many times. We had a great dinner here the other night as always. The zucchini blossoms are delicious and the sauce to dip them is so good. The blueberry martini is my favorite.”

“I rarely get out and came here for an early dinner at the bar. The Beef Carpaccio, Pulpo Appetizer and Bisteca were delicious. Service by Travis and Brandy at the bar was perfect, backed up by Zack. We really enjoyed the cocktails, dessert and the wine list was simple but well curated. It was an impromptu but well appreciated visit.”

“Mom and I stopped in this weekend as we headed west on a weekend trip. The coffee was awesome we really enjoyed the maple latte and the pear almond tart was also yummy great recommendations by staff. Also any place that welcomes the fur kids earns extra points!”

“We've been going to Rios for years. I wasn't sure how the food or service would change when they opened their new, large restaurant on Red Arrow Hwy. I was so pleasantly surprised. Same yummy, inexpensive food and same lovely service. It's wonderful being able to bring our dog and eat on the terrace (and it's great that they always give her a little pup cup of chicken bits.) Also: how had we gone here for years and never tried their agua fresca? We had the cantaloupe today and it was WONDERFUL. The cashier said they've been experimenting with different seasonal flavors. I don't think I'll ever be able to eat there again without trying the latest aqua fresca.”

“Last dined at Skips in January 2026 , let me say this , first biggest complaint is that after looking at my credit statement I saw that they tacked on an extra $20 charge on my credit card without my permission , after questioning them they did remove the charge , second the food was fair at best , I ordered the Walleye which I'm not sure it was even Walleye , it tasted and looked more like Tilapia ( 2 small filets ) , wife had the Salmon which she said was just ok . I bragged about this place to the others that were with us and they agreed it was nothing to write home about , ,will I go back to Skips , no but they probably don't carel”

“This was our first visit to the Staymaker, which is the restaurant within the Journeyman Distillery. We are visiting from Chicago and this was recommended and we were not disappointed! Everything was really excellent! From our charming and attentive server Hailey, to the amazing smoked trout spread app to the Trout entree and the brisket meatloaf. It was all so delicious!
