“This is home. The heart of the Eastern Market since I was a little girl. This place and Mike's are pillars for Detroit classics. Service is always A1. My mom always gets their breakfast which they give ginormous portions and I either get a corned beef sandwich or a coney and chili cheese fries. They dont miss!“

“We've been going to Travis for decades. It's been a local known favorite for a lot of us who grew up in this area and remember many days gone by enjoying Travis Originals with good friends and family. Their food is great and reasonable, and their servers are friendly, courteous, and attentive, and make every visit a pleasurable experience.
I have to recommend their great specials. On Thursday any of their Mexican entrees are exceptional, my favorite is the Wet Burrito, my husband's is the Quesadilla, also the Nachos Supreme. Tuesday they have really good Sloppy Joes, and their Beef Barley soup is a favorite also. Their breakfasts are consistently good, and although they don't have them on the menu and occasionally on holidays they've had crepes which were outstanding. My point is Travis has always been a local favorite for a reason and that is consistent good food, prices and service. When you do it right generations return, and every time we travel we say " You know what they need around here, a Travis ! "“

“I got the small spaghetti & meatballs as well as the spaghetti sandwich Eminem's way. Food was DELICIOUS!! Absolutely worth the price! The small came with 3 big meatballs & loaded with grated cheese. It really was ahige portion for a small. The sandwich was also soooooo good even as leftovers!!!! The bad.... I waited like 15+ mins in the rain to order. I walked inside half way through the wait to look for someone, never found anyone. Went back outside & waited with 4 more people & no one ever came so after 15+ mins, I went upstairs to the store & asked for help. The girl working found the cook (who also takes the orders) & just happened to be on lunch. I wouldn't have minded waiting if there would've been a little 30 min break sign up or something. Honestly it seemed like he either hated his job or he's definitely overworked & maybe the only employee besides the girl upstairs Even though customer service was not good, the food was amazing & I'll definitely eat there again next time I'm in town.“

My only complaint was the staff could be a little more welcoming and enthusiastic. The lady at the door was on her phone on a facetime call when we came in (which she did appologize for but didn't get off the phone) and the waitress just seemed short and not really happy. She wasn't rude and got our order right, so I still gave it 5 stars. It just seemed with the atmosphere that they would be a little bubblier and more enthusiastic. But I would still definitely come there again. I still gave 5 stars for service because maybe it was an off day and like I said they didn't mess our order up and were quick.“

Today I spoke to one of the delightful (and Gorgeous!) waitresses and told her I hoped to have EXTRA not OVER the top onions and mustard and what I got were THE BEST CONEYS!!! I paid a small UPCHARGE but boy was it worth every penny! Way to go Antonio's Coney Island STILL with the best Coney AROUND“

“Stopped in after visiting the business next door.
Walked in and was greeted right away and told I can sit anywhere I liked. Waitress took my refreshment order and when she came back I ordered a bowl the beef barley soup, which is one of my favorite soups. Soup was piping hot you could tell it was homemade in part basede on the cut of the vegetables. Was very good, but I added some pepper
I then ordered the super melt, which is a patty melt with added bacon lettuce and tomato, I opted for no tomato.
In between my order arriving at the table, the waitress was constantly switching out by soda, nice touch
The sandwich came to the table and I had added french fries to the order. They appear to be a seasoned or crispy style fry, seasoned right and hot. Sandwich was good size, rye bread grilled to perfection. Was very tasty
One of the better Patty melts I've ever had.
The lettuce made the sandwich a little hard to handle as it was sliding on the bread. No big deal though, I just pulled some of the excess lettuce off and ate that as a little side salad...lol.
Bacon was nice and crispy.
One of the best stops at a restaurant I've had in quite some time. I was very delighted with the food and the experiene. Highly recommend.
When I go back I want to try the lemon rice soup

“Food is always delicious, only issue I have is the service is not always good and the containers they package the to-go food in is Cheap material. I ordered an omelette and the cheese and moisture from the food made a hole in my paper container if I didn’t notice my food could’ve fell out but other then that the food is always a thumbs up.“
