“Lux Bar and Grill in Grosse Pointe has quickly become one of my favorite neighborhood gems. Their happy hour menu is exceptional, offering a delightful array of choices that cater to all tastes. The Brussels sprouts are a must-try – perfectly crispy and flavorful. The calamari is another favorite of ours, always cooked to tender perfection. When it comes to the main course, the Lux burger stands out as my all-time favorite. It’s a classic done right, and on days I’m feeling a bit more indulgent, the barbecue Lux burger adds that extra touch of decadence. As for drinks, their martinis are simply unmatched, making it my go-to beverage every time. But what truly sets Lux apart is the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The comfort of the setting combined with the kindness of the staff ensures every visit is memorable. It’s these qualities that solidify Lux Bar and Grill as a cherished spot in the neighborhood.“
“I really love the classic aesthetic of Bronze Door! They have a nice cocktail menu with unique ingredients. I ordered the grey goose shrimp and penne which was a nice portion and very flavorful. My friend ordered the stroganoff and honestly we both felt hers seemed more like an appetizer portion and definitely looked like it should have had some more carrots and spaetzle. Our server was very friendly and gave suggestions for the menu. My only issue was when we had cashed out and were getting ready to leave, she came over and said she didn’t charge my card the full amount and didn’t give much explanation, just said I owed $16 more dollars. I thought this was strange and a little off-putting that my card didn’t get charged properly the first time...The highlight of the whole experience was the lemon cream cake for dessert- PHENOMENAL! I would definitely come back for drinks and dessert!“
“My friends and I had a wonderful dinner! Brad was very attentive and pleasant, and kindly let us change our table to the booths. My friend is pregnant so the booth spot was perfect. We loved how everything tasted and had plenty of refills on the garlic bread. It was a delightful experience to end our eventful day.“
“Awesome experience celebrating an anniversary. Marrow made us feel special & welcome. The food was delectable & the staff were all so kind & genuinely seemed like they enjoyed working there which made the experience even better. We will definitely be back to try some beef tartar & bone marrow next time! Highly recommend the chef’s tasting menu!!!“
“The food speaks for itself, well prepared, and the coffee was excellent. The waitress that I had she was well mannered, she knew her stuff, and very informative.Parking: Handicapped accessible.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap accessible that includes walkers, wheelchairs, and canes. I can easily access out of my vehicle with my walker or cane without bumping or squeezeing into another vehicle.“
“I started coming here with my grandma back when they opened in 1999. Before she passed, she would always tell us she was making home Geneva burgers, which were delicious, but nothing could touch the original. Today was my first time having them again in years, and it tasted just like I remembered! This mom-and-pop restaurant is a jewel in our community.“
“I was on the fence about this place because of the motel it's connected to, but the food turned out to be really good.Only thing I would change is the coffee ( wasn't that good ) and the size of the coffee cup, other than that it's a 4 star.“
“My husband took me here for a belated birthday celebration. He's from the area and we were visiting my in-laws but don't live in town. It was a blast. It was Ramadan and we heard that sometimes there can be a long wait, so we got there early. We got lucky and there wasn't a wait, but that meant we had to wait to eat. :) Our waitress (Olivia I want to say?) was amazing. When I explained, she said we could order and she would time everything to come out at break fast time - boy did she! Down to the second! :)We ordered the famous table-side caesar salad and it was made by Chris, one of the owners. What a lovely gentlemen. We had a nice little chat while he was making the salads. Our steaks and sides were also perfectly cooked and amazing. We were also there when the trumpet/vocalist was there - which was also wonderful.Everything about this place was great and we'll probably go back the next time we're in town. Highly recommend!“
“Solid place! The food was incredible and the service was above and beyond! The beer and food were top quality and delicious. Charlie, the manager, was welcoming, informative about the beer, food, and his hometown of Detroit! This is a MUST VISIT DESTINATION!!“
“I frequent this location often throughout the week for lunch and have had the pleasure of knowing the crew by name. Amber, Maya, Alyssa, Tammy, Monica and Alexis. They have treated me with the utmost respect to date. The service they provide is exemplary in addition to the food they offer, which I haven’t had a bad experience yet. Keep up the great work.“
“Very welcoming comfortable atmosphere excellent service Best buy I've been to in a long time. They have restaurant quality food. Great drinks. Jamie Brittany Kayla Stacy And Nicole always make sure did everyone has an excellent time. The barbacks make sure the restaurant is clean and the glasses are good. The cooks in the back make excellent food.“
“I had Chicken dinner with superb soup, baked potato & 2 sides. 2nd person had Cheese "qusedias", 3rd person had corned beef Delight sandwich with fries. service was great. Environment was a bit loud until a few tables left. Prices were reasonable. All of had enough leftovers to make another mealParking: Plenty of free parking on the South side of 10 Mile, not far from entrance to 94W. Parking has wheelchair access. Customers are friendly and helpful, holding door for person with walker.“
“The Charlevoix continues to impress. The food choices are inspired and fun - try everything! Some things I never would have thought to try have been incredible (carrot tostadas have no business being this good). They also serve the best Ole Fashioned in town, and have Sea Quench on tap.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options, including the tostadas and the smoked tofu sandwich (don't skip this, it's insanely good).Parking: Parking lot is right across the street at the intersection corner.“
“Never had a bad experience at old school deli. Very personal service. The food is great. The employees are great. It's always like sitting down with family. When you're there they come and sit with you and talk. They have time. If they don't, they just smile and say hello and serve other people. It's a great place to go. I highly recommend it“
“We stopped in for breakfast before a wrestling tournament and we had excellent service and our food was great! My son said the French toast was the best he’s ever had, and the corn beef hash was homemade! Would definitely recommend and will stop again if we are back in the area.“
“We went for Kevin Wilson’s music and was extremely surprised by how good the food was. I’ve had hundreds of Ruebens, this is my go to judging sandwich and theirs is now in my top three. My wife said the hamburger was very good as well… No frozen patty here! All this on top of great service in a comfortable old school bar with live music, I was in my glory. We will be back soon!!“
“Parking here sucks but the coffee and pastries are very good. There are tons of vegan options for drinks and a good amount for food. There's a small sitting area in the back, and the line can end up filling the seating area. If you want to sit and chill, I'd go to another red hook location. All of the other ones have more seating. This one, though, has the best vibes tbh. Make sure you get whatever food you order warmed up it makes it 10 times better.Dietary restrictions: They have all the vegan milk options and vegan quick bites“
“Some dishes are hit and miss. Didn't like the Ravioli or Smelt but loved the 2 piece Cod and Turkey Dinner. Hard to beat the value as they give you a ton of food, and cooked fresh. Been going a lot the last 6 months, and the service is on point.“
“We booked the side room for a small graduation party. Malones was fantastic! The staff was attentive to details and always made sure our guests had what they needed! Our appetizers were plentiful, and our entrees were delicious. We had plenty of positive feedback and look forward to lunch/ dinner or another event there soon!“
“It's just grate it always has Ben 20 Years + of the best food and service ....all the food is always grate ...... off the hook we all just love the placeVegetarian options: Grate 10 +Dietary restrictions: Grate 10 +Parking: Parking is good ?“
“Listen guys! I’m speaking to my Detroit natives and my tourists.. this place is the place to BE! Yesterday I visited this establishment and I had ‘what I thought’ was the best experience but after returning for seconds the VERY NEXT DAY… I’d have to say that each time I visit the experience gets better and better. I absolutely love this place. Not only because it’s black owned but because they stand on straight business. The food was exceptional And you can tell that they take pride in providing quality service. I order the pasta 10/10, the sweet & spicy shrimp 10/10 & the chicken sandwich 10/10.. no exaggeration.. yeah so check them out“
“The food and service is always great and the diner atmosphere has a very nostalgic feel to it that reminds you of simpler times. I really love it ?Parking: There is parking on either side of the buildingKid-friendliness: Family atmosphereWheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs“
“My mother-in-law chose this local favorite for our weekend breakfast gathering and it is a gem! Service was outstanding, all the staff worked together to ensure a great experience. The food was fresh and delicious. I had the savory crepes and my husband had the steak and eggs and enjoyed them very much. This is now one of our new favorites.“
“Been a while since I had been here. Not sure why I just started craving Ham and I always received the best ham here so off we went for a late breakfast! Our usual MEAL out is dinner/lunch with breakfast typically being at an establishment that offers Gluten Free options for toast/french toast or pancakes. No GF bread products but STILL SERVE THE BEST HAM AND COFFEE-you never have to ask! I asked and they still peal and shred their own potatoes, they do. Today though the potatoes appear possibly over par boiled so the hash browns were kind of soft. The inside has not changed much over the years and it could use an update but it is very clean! Do not let the loved appearance scare you. This is where the locals go to eat. They get a crowd after church too!! Staff is always so kind and attentive! You can get a breakfast with three eggs and a pound of Ham! So good. In this day and age of the missing mom and Pop businesses come and support your local restaurants. Prices are amazing too!“
“Had a new year's day girls date with my family and everything was great. Our server (I wish I could remember her name) was top notch. We came for breakfast but it turns out that the chicken strips my granddaughter ordered and didn't eat were the star of the show! I would definitely take the drive and come back.“
“I've been to this location many times in the past 25 years. Not every experience was great but overall the ability to see your food made and assembled in front of you is amazing compared to here in America. They also have a great veggie burger that America still lacks. I would visit again. Hopefully they build locations in USA. I've never had the meat but the veggie burger, fries, and Pepsi hit the spot.“
“Even as the lunch rush began, myself and a few other guys were quickly greeted and seated within a minute of our arrival. We had our food in front of us within 15 minutes and it was all delish. If you like fries, don't worry, a side order is basically the whole darn plate.“
“I have a special diet and they always take care of it. They special brew decaf coffee for me in the morning. They save Ripe tomato’s for me to substitute for hash browns. They always make my bread dry. You’d be amazed how many places can’t manage that. They provide excellent friendly service and all of their food is good.“
“First timer! Walked into a clean restaurant with friendly wait staff. Jennifer was my waitress, she was nice and attentive. Ordered coffee and the country omelette. Coffee was good, not old. Food came out quick and was good too; not burnt. Prices were what I expected at a Coney. Overall, pleasant experience. Will return.“
“I've worked in pizza for 15 years and if I were to open a business Franko's would embody how I would run it. The sauce has a wonderful flavor and the cheese has the perfect pull. All the toppings I've tried so far are fresh and distributed evenly. My family are fans.“
“The panko breaded perch with the Hawaiian salad was excellent. I love the spaced out relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy a private conversation. Service was spot on. I also like a restaurant that serves rolls or bread that is specially made served right after you sit down. Nice job.“
“I had a catered event here and Lisa and the Staff were fantastic! I did a spaghetti buffet dinner with salad and appetizers and the food was amazing. Now I go to Bar Bingo night on Wed on occasion for the food and the fun. I must say best Nachos around as well!“
“I was looking for a good burger a long time ago and finally I found the right place, if you are the kind of people that enjoy a good burger you have to go to Mamo burger the place have some options to choose, the flavour is awesome, the 8 ounces are a pretty good portion this comes with a side and I get a tap beer this are also so good, it’s a place for return.“
“It has been over 2 years since we have gone here for dinner. In the past I wasn't overwhelmed with their food, even though they're beer selection is top notch. Glad I let my wife make the call and we went here for dinner. We all ended up getting burgers, and my wife and I both commented that these were the best burgers we have had in a long, long time. Howlers and Growlers is now firmly back in my radar when we want to go out for burgers and a beer.“
“Have come here a few times since moving to Detroit. It's in a very old mostly abandoned industrial part of the city along the Detroit River, made better by nice new development nearby, adjoining a portion of the beautiful Detroit River Walk, and on a strip near the Atwater Grill with other businesses. Very nostalgic looking business whose interior including bathrooms have certainly seen better days, but made comfortable by the nice wait staff and VERY HOSPITABLE owner who is most always available and a pleasure to chat with. Generally speaking the food here is very good. I'd call this a must visit little foray into old Detroit, where you can get a nice meal and drinks well off the beaten path. I like it.“
“Very friendlybstaff! Fast efficient service!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options look tasty!Dietary restrictions: Like how they give the calorie intake next to the meal or itemParking: Lots of space convenient parkingKid-friendliness: Very family orientedWheelchair accessibility: Very accessible for anyone in a wheelchair that needs accessibility.“
“Was feeling the need for coneys again so, Google to the rescue and off to Warren Family.A soft-spoken young woman was busy taking both to-go orders and dealing with dine-in customers as well as running the register. She did an great job and remained upbeat & professional throughout. The place is clean, bright, open and quiet. Tile floors and marble table tops don't often help with that. And the radio was at a perfect volume, audible but not intrusive.Their menu isn't as extensive as some but has quite a lot to offer. Tuesdays coneys are just $0.99 each.I got two coneys, as usual. The dog has a good chew to it, the onions have a kick and the buns are warm and soft. For a coney that is all I need.I was in & out in under 30 minutes and will happily return.Kid-friendliness: They'll be fine.Wheelchair accessibility: Oodles of room, both at the tables and the booths.“
“This is a great place to grab a bite and a drink, the staff are very friendly and they even give free gifts to women, although they gave me one as well and I am a man. The Karaoke night was very fun, it’s a good atmosphere overall and I recommend it to anyone who just wants to relax and have a drink or two.. or maybe 5…“
“My absolute favorite breakfast place. Great lunch too. The family that runs this place is so kind and loving, I've been coming here with my mother for years. I always get the eggs Benedict for breakfast and my mom always sticks with a good old ham sandwich. Ham is nice and thick cut, super delicious on some thick rye bread! They have an amazing selection to choose from, for breakfast and lunch and I've never tried anything that was bad! The atmosphere is cozy and you get taken care of every time no matter who's serving you. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a new diner.“
“I really enjoyed my first visit to Te Roma. It's a very comfortable hangout spot. I was able to use the App to play the music I like. The food was good and inexpensive. There is a pool table. It is a cool place to link up with friends and have a few drinks. I will definitely be back time and time again and I will be sure to add photos next time ?.“
“Burgers, drinks, n some music last night. These were some of the best burgers we’ve had in a long time, they were cooked to perfection, (no over cooked crummy meat) this was the real deal, I ordered medium rare and it came medium rare. The music was different from the norm and really cool. They have games lining the shelves, we’re coming back just to play Balderdash and have another burger, they even have Drag queen bingo. A very cool fun spot to eat and hangout. The staff was very friendly and worked as a team to make sure we were well taken care of. A new favorite for us.“
“Tuesdays are $1.50 coney island hotdogs. I ordered but the toppings of chilli mustard diced onion was REALLY what I paid for. Today I spoke to one of the delightful (and Gorgeous!) waitresses and told her I hoped to have EXTRA not OVER the top onions and mustard and what I got were THE BEST CONEYS!!! I paid a small UPCHARGE but boy was it worth every penny! Way to go Antonio's Coney Island STILL with the best Coney AROUND“
“I swear I'm going to get to the rest of the menu at some point. But for now, the coneys & the chili (with beans!) are calling. (It's in single digits outside.)Greeted before the door shut and shown to a seat literally seconds later. After my food arrived, though, no contact at all. Had to wave someone down for my bill. The menu is the same, the diner vibe is too.The "comfort food" is what brings me in. The choices are many, the feeling is the same, you're not rushed. Like eating at a relative's house.Parking: Some on the street, some on the side, some behind.Kid-friendliness: What diner-style restaurant isn't kid friendly?Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space to navigate inside. Wide doors to facilitate entry. As long as it's not an ice-covered sidewalk, you're good.“
“Always a great time! If you’re sitting at tables Brittany is one of the best! Alexis and James behind the bar are outstanding as well! Food is always good, drinks are great, service is top tier. Doesn’t get much better than a night at Johnnys!“
“Great food for GP, which, for a community of wealth, has a dearth of good eateries. Fish and chips I had were nice and not greasy, fries on point. I'm glad that they had Pacific beer, it's a great beer with low alcohol content.Took awhile for the bartender to come around a couple of times, especially for a slow afternoon, so we didn't get to order as soon as would have liked, although maybe he thought we were just engaged in a conversation and didn't want to interrupt.Atmosphere here was kinda tired when they opened awhile back. Now it's exhausted and could really use something, ANYTHING, to make it inviting. I've seen better decoration in a trailer park. That said, I would rather go there for food and friends than anywhere else in the area.“
“I went to Mike's on the water the last day they were open for the season, which was November 26, 2023, I also went with friends there, 3 of us had the end of there season special which was a hamburger, fries, and a pop for $8, we all enjoyed our food, it was cooked to perfection, the waitress was very friendly, they also had a beautiful Christmas tree there“
“My father, Eddie Mesrey (born in Detroit | 1932–1980), grew up in the house that was once attached to Zell’s. He and his brother, George Mesrey (1930–1978), helped their uncle Michael Mesrey (born in Damascus, Syria | 1899–1993) run the little market that previously occupied this space (circa 1930s – 1960s).Back in the day it was known as Little Mike’s Market. Here’s my great-Uncle Mike and an unidentified E&B spokesmodel inside the market at Charlevoix and Seyburn, circa 1960.“
“We enjoyed breakfast here. Despite its modest exterior, the interior is remarkably spacious. The cleanliness is impeccable, complete with a well-stocked bar, and the customer service is exceptional. The food exceeded expectations; I ordered the Frank’s skillet (see photo) and it was both delicious and beautifully presented. This establishment has earned a spot among my favorite places to dine. Additionally, it's worth noting that it is budget-friendly.We will definitely be returning.Thank you.“
“First time at Milestone Grill with my sister, and i recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants excellent delicious food!! As we both had the Spinach Artichoke Dip for appetizer then ordered the fantastic Grilled Chicken Salad, and the scrumptious French Onion Soup! We both will definitely go back to enjoy more of the many items on their large menu! Service was fast and very courteous! One of our new favorite restaurants! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Amazing customer service, food, entertainment and overall experience. I have yet to purchase something that I didn't enjoy. Not too many places have live entertainment anymore either so this is definitely a treasure.Parking: Ample parking in the back.“
