It has become my restaurant of choice to celebrate my birthday for many reasons. I love that they keep the beautiful patio open even during the hottest of days (which is usually what it is for my July birthday), they have the best seasonal menu additions that use local ingredients, and their laid back yet elegant charm is exactly what we always look for. The food is amazing! We love unfussy food that lets the quality ingredients shine and the raclette with a touch of honey just makes me grin from ear to ear (not to mention the tomato soup that is out of this world). The Frulingzauber "spring magic" cocktail is my favorite of all time. I would drink one every day for the rest of my life if I could. Of course, none of this would matter if the people weren't wonderful at Alpino, but they are just as warm and inviting as the food. I loved that they all signed a birthday card for me when we were there last. This is definitely a gem of a place that you don't find everywhere.“

Overall, you get a lot of bang for your buck here…$25 got us a large pizza, a salad, and a good sized bread with garlic sauce. I liked the pizza! Crust was solid, pepperoni was good, nothing too crazy but on the nail for what we needed. The bread and garlic sauce were my fav,no question about that. Wouldn’t say it’s my go-to Friday night spot, but I’d come back once a month or so. Solid find. Staff was friendly & quick!“

“We are here for our anniversary and both the food and the service were excellent! We were helped by Chloe and Charlie and they were quick and so sweet. We had the garlic bruschetta, carbonara and salmon which was more than enough to share. The pasta was so fresh and the salmon may have been my favorite salmon I’ve ever had. Because it was our anniversary they gave us a complimentary dessert and sent over a prosecco toast on the house! Really excellent place I can’t recommend it more!“

So much attention to detail and making sure my group was comfortable throughout our stay. The chicken alfredo is okay but nothing that stands out from another Italian restaurant. Although two of my group members loved the octopus! They couldn’t stop talking about how good the sauce was and ordered bread specifically to keep trying it. We had my father in law's funeral luncheon here this past weekend and everything was incredible. The service, the room, the food, our main waitress was sweet as can be, and the guys helping her were great.

The staff was incredibly accommodating and gracious. This is not often a feeling I receive when bringing up food allergies. The food & drinks were so incredibly tasty and the views were unreal. The Train station, spires of St Anne’s and the Ambassador Bridge all in one shot. “Oh MAN Rocco's is the place I have searched for in vain until last year when I tried them for the first time. Since that first meatball sub I have had almost every sandwich on the menu and so far not one has disappointed! Today I had the Corner Deli and was transported to Italian paradiso! In case you non-Italians did not know, ciabatta is the Italian baguette and Rocco's bakes many fresh loaves several times per day! Usually it is still warm from the oven even if you get a cold sandwich! There is no better sandwich bread in my progenic-Italian opinion! They are in Midtown on Cass just East of Mack. Try them if you have yet to do so. You will thank the gods!“
