I was there with my three children last weekend and he made us feel very welcome. “Oh MAN Rocco's is the place I have searched for in vain until last year when I tried them for the first time. Since that first meatball sub I have had almost every sandwich on the menu and so far not one has disappointed! Today I had the Corner Deli and was transported to Italian paradiso! In case you non-Italians did not know, ciabatta is the Italian baguette and Rocco's bakes many fresh loaves several times per day! Usually it is still warm from the oven even if you get a cold sandwich! There is no better sandwich bread in my progenic-Italian opinion! They are in Midtown on Cass just East of Mack. Try them if you have yet to do so. You will thank the gods!“
“Buddy's pizza is definitely at the top of Detroit style pizza. It's not overly thick and has great flavor throughout. The toppings are fresh and they let you do half and half in their large ones. The special seasoned sauce really seals the deal on the pizza and is free to add as a substitute for their original sauce. The wings were okay, but really small for the price. Probably wouldn't order those again. OThe waiter was friendly and knowledgeable and definitely helped us make informed decisions about the pizza. I would definitely recommend Buddy's and will eat there again.“

The simplest one is just cheese, and then tomato sauce, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, etc. are slowly added, and you can also customize your own taste. I guess it's because it's cooked to order, so you have to wait about 30 minutes for your pizza after ordering. But the deliciousness is worth the wait. The edges of the pizza are very crispy, and there is so much cheese inside that it will flow out after you cut it. Cheese lovers will be very satisfied. Unfortunately, we didn’t realize that they require reservations (our fault for not checking the website beforehand), so we had to come back a second time! We had a 6pm reservation on a Friday night and were seated immediately. We were seated in the very back room that only had 3 or 4 tables. There was no music playing so the atmosphere was very quiet and a little awkward. I ordered Luigi’s Whitefish with pasta on the side. It was delicious! Overall the experience was good, although a little expensive. For the price I would prefer a better atmosphere, but I did enjoy the food.“

Then I had the German traditional breakfast which consisted of fresh baked rye bread, alp blossom cheese, a chilled soft boiled egg, speck prosciutto, apple butter ands apple jam. The other items ordered were the Colin’s Alpino Burger and the Rosti Benedict. Not only was the food amazing but the drinks were incredible also. The Nova Spritz is a amazing gin forward spritz that’s very refreshing. I highly recommend you check out Alpino on Sunday mornings. Brunch ends at 3pm. Go check them out“

The first time we had it it was lacking flavor. But whomever made it the second time, it was yummy!We've had it twice in the month we've lived in our new home which is a mile away from Marcos haha. It's definitely our new spot. The price is okay, isn't the most expensive pizza, but isn't the cheapest. But if you want quality pizza this place is great. “Went to Gaudino’s for the first time this week and absolutely loved it! The restaurant is super cute and I love that it has like a little shop and food counter in it too - so unique! The food was amazing! The table shared some sausage and peppers, I had rigatoni with pomodoro, my mom and grandma had the Porcellino, and my papa had the Campagna. Everyone loved their food! And as good as mine was, I can’t stop thinking about the Campagna that my papa shared with me - the braised short rib in it was so tender! Another thing I really loved was that the food was piping hot when it came! The restaurant is a bit far from me, but I’ll definitely want to go back soon because it was so yummy!“

I love the open kitchen, we sat and watched the chef and the kitchen staff do their thing and I loved every minute of it. I felt like I was on a cooking show, watching the orders come in and fresh food come out, the chef yells out the order and everyone starts prepping. The food......... I had the artichoke soup to start, I didn't know what to expect but it was delicious. For entrée I had the lobster risotto which was one of the specials that night. Omg must have. Fresh lobster, risotto was creamy and flavorful. My aunt had the chicken parmesan, she absolutely loved it. I think coming back and sitting at the bar will be my go to. Thank you for an amazing first experience. I will definitely be back to try some different dishes.“

We've had a lot of M&C and this, by far was the best!! They use heavy cream plus different cheeses and the result is *Heaven in a Crock." I'm not kidding. I was assured that every crock is made fresh, individually, and from scratch! It was amazing.So many of their dishes are so delish. My husband loved his kielbasa and kraut. He's also tried their shrimp and sausage stir fry and fish and chips - all were wonderful. I've had the fish and chips as well and their spaghetti with marinara sauce and, again, both were excellent.I'm taking away one star because their chicken picatta was very dry. The bread was soft and delicious too! I forget the name of the sauce brought out with the bread as it wasn't regular marinara sauce but it had a slight kick to it. The marinara sauce that came out with the calamari was perfect. It wasn't saucy and salty like other Italian restaurants can be. My server, Emily was a sweetheart. A pure sweetheart. She had other tables and checked on me constantly. I didn't feel left out as I was sitting at the bar alone. We even had a girl chat about Law & Order! I went to pay for my food and Emily let me know another patron already covered my bill. I was having a bad day and had been super emotional about it. These two women made my day. I went with a classic lasagna and it tasted like I was a “made man” in the Corleone family or something. Heaven! Atmosphere was classy without being stuffy. Midweek dinner and not much of a crowd so we were seated right away. I think my favorite part was tomato sauce that was used in the lasagna.“
