“😋This was the first time that I have eaten at River Rat. The food was sooo delicious!! My husband Larry and I had the Chicken Breast Montreal, I had coleslaw, and Chicken Noodle soup, and he had mashed potatoes, and green beans with his. His brother Mike, had the baked Walleye. The rolls were sooo yummy!! Many thanks to our waitress Tayler! She was so nice, and kind, and onpoint!! I give this rating a 5 Star!! We shall be back!“

“We order Carlo’s for dinner often! Almost weekly! We had our son’s birthday this last week and we ordered 2 party trays of pizza, 75 wings & a large catered size Cesar salad. We originally hoped for the pizza to be thin crust as that’s what we usually always ordered but were informed that the party size only comes in deep dish, but we were ok to give it a try. None the less, everything was amazing! Fresh & hot! We always order wings & knew those would be a hit. There were a lot of compliments on the salad! Also a first try for me and will definitely be apart of our future orders! We also just might be rotating out a deep dish pizza and thin crust from now on. Carlo’s exceeded our expectations and we are so glad we chose them. Definitely recommend for large events & or just a regular pizza night for dinner 😊“

“I knew the pizza was gonna be good as soon as I met the GM, excellent hospitality, he talked to me the whole time my pizza was being prepared and was very joyful and takes pride in what he does! Got home and tried it for the first time and saying i am impressed is an understatement, this is the most filling and delicious pizza I have had in a long time. “I’ve always wanted to try food from Verona Inspired Italian! I regularly check out their weekly specials on Facebook and couldn’t wait to finally try them out. This was my first visit to the restaurant, and the food was absolutely delicious and amazing. We started with the bread and butter- yes, we actually started there because it was that good. We even asked for another basket! Then came the Eggplant Tower, and wow - it was fantastic. I’m a big fan of eggplant, and this dish was perfection: crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with fresh mozzarella, tomato, and pickled onion. You really need to try it to understand how good it is. For the weekly special, we had the Emperor Red Snapper. Absolutely incredible. The Tomahawk Pork Chop and the steak were both delicious as well. Our cocktails and beer were spot-on. Service? 5 stars. Thank you Joy M. The menu has so many tempting options, and we definitely want to come back and try more. P.S. That bread? We took another portion home. So good.“

“Food is excellent. Cooked to perfection. Vegetables are fresh and served Al Dente. Soups and chili always made in house. Great staff. Servers are on top of it. Polite, friendly, and efficient. Bar staff, well, youl have to stop in for a drink. They are excellent. A++++“

“I love the place. The staff was very nice. I came with my friend. They were all very lovely. Very supportive of us coming in. In fact, they let us use the second table for our pizza and the table we were sitting at for the pizzas that were we’re gonna eat on that table. I could recommend this place even more. “First time trying Detroit style pizza and we knew we wanted to try Buddy’s. We weren’t totally sure what to order, but luckily Dejuan our server was incredible! He gave us wonderful recommendations, great service , and he was just fun! We had a delicious meal and a great time. We had 2 different kinds of pizza and the famous antipasto salad and it was all so good! So much so that we are going back tomorrow for more! And the manager Rondah stopped by our table to make sure everything was great and we let her know how happy we were with our entire experience, a true testament to what a great job she is doing running everything! We also loved that this is the original location on Conant St. and has a cool mural outside and such a great ambiance inside! If you are in Detroit this is the place to be!“
