“Everything was good. It was our first time there.. I don’t appreciate the fact that they write in the tip without telling you .I had to go back because I double tipped and nobody said anything . They let me do it without saying a word.. they should tell you that they’re adding the tip in before you pay the bill. I didn’t realize what I did until I got to my car. I had to go back and straighten it out at the restaurant. I have four kids under the age of five. It wasn’t easy for me to do this. When you’re at the table with four kids and you’re trying to pay the bill, you don’t have time to look at it to see that the tip was added in. I gave the Service five stars because I think it was good Service. I just don’t like the idea of that she knew that all this was going on ,and didn’t remind me they had already put the 20% in .“

It’s such an amazing spot for a private, intimate event—we had around 50 guests, and the space was perfect. The entire process was seamless, the food was unbelievable, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make the day special. Everything exceeded our expectations, and our guests are still talking about how wonderful it was. I would highly recommend D’Amato’s for any special occasion!“

“I honestly don't know why it has taken me so long to write a review for Alpino because my husband and I love this place so much! It has become my restaurant of choice to celebrate my birthday for many reasons. I love that they keep the beautiful patio open even during the hottest of days (which is usually what it is for my July birthday), they have the best seasonal menu additions that use local ingredients, and their laid back yet elegant charm is exactly what we always look for. The food is amazing! We love unfussy food that lets the quality ingredients shine and the raclette with a touch of honey just makes me grin from ear to ear (not to mention the tomato soup that is out of this world). The Frulingzauber "spring magic" cocktail is my favorite of all time. I would drink one every day for the rest of my life if I could. Of course, none of this would matter if the people weren't wonderful at Alpino, but they are just as warm and inviting as the food. I loved that they all signed a birthday card for me when we were there last. This is definitely a gem of a place that you don't find everywhere.“

“We order Carlo’s for dinner often! Almost weekly! We had our son’s birthday this last week and we ordered 2 party trays of pizza, 75 wings & a large catered size Cesar salad. We originally hoped for the pizza to be thin crust as that’s what we usually always ordered but were informed that the party size only comes in deep dish, but we were ok to give it a try. None the less, everything was amazing! Fresh & hot! We always order wings & knew those would be a hit. There were a lot of compliments on the salad! Also a first try for me and will definitely be apart of our future orders! We also just might be rotating out a deep dish pizza and thin crust from now on. Carlo’s exceeded our expectations and we are so glad we chose them. Definitely recommend for large events & or just a regular pizza night for dinner 😊“

“Ordered pizza for pickup while staying across the street at Holiday Inn Express. Although the toppings were plentiful and delicious, the crust was undercooked & a little doughy! Plus, it was on a sheet of parchment/wax paper that was completely stuck to the crust & impossible to peel off! Unfortunately, these 2 details turned what should have been an enjoyable night into a messy and frustrating experience!“

“Tonight I attended a wedding at C & G and could not be more impressed, and also pissed at myself for not patronizing this welcoming restaurant sooner. I’m lactose intolerant and allergic to chicken. The staff was incredibly accommodating and gracious. This is not often a feeling I receive when bringing up food allergies. The food & drinks were so incredibly tasty and the views were unreal. The Train station, spires of St Anne’s and the Ambassador Bridge all in one shot. Turn to the left and you have the beautifully landscaped Roosevelt park to stroll through after enjoying the back porch. I’m so blown away, and so happy my friend finally got me here! Thank you for a dreamy night.“

“Oh MAN Rocco's is the place I have searched for in vain until last year when I tried them for the first time. Since that first meatball sub I have had almost every sandwich on the menu and so far not one has disappointed! Today I had the Corner Deli and was transported to Italian paradiso! In case you non-Italians did not know, ciabatta is the Italian baguette and Rocco's bakes many fresh loaves several times per day! Usually it is still warm from the oven even if you get a cold sandwich! There is no better sandwich bread in my progenic-Italian opinion! They are in Midtown on Cass just East of Mack. Try them if you have yet to do so. You will thank the gods!“

“Chelsey makes the best martinis I’ve had in a while! I’m VERY picky with my martinis. When you pay $20 for a drink, you want it made perfectly. Chelsey was also our server. At first she took my martini order and had the bar make it. Then for my second, she made it herself. TOTALLY different drink than what was made the first time. Chelsey was an attentive server, great personality, and impeccable service. We bonded quickly and I told her when my boyfriend and I come back, we’re only requesting her.“

“The girl at the register is very nice and pleasant on the phone. The pizza was fantastic but the menu online needs to be updated. Every pizza on the list increased 35-45% in price which equates to $6-7 extra per pizza. The large cheese pizza is $19 not $13 the pepperoni is $22 not $15.“

“We had the best experience at Sal’s last week. We had a party of 7 for a family dinner, and called to make a reservation the day before. Adam was so helpful and made sure to accommodate us with a great table. He was very friendly and made sure that our family was taken care of. Once in the restaurant, our service was first class. I don’t remember our servers name, but she was attentive, sweet, and made our experience as good as possible.

I would recommend Sal’s to anyone looking for a great meal with excellent service. Get the chicken Francese, it was amazing!!“

“Up until tonight, which is New Year's Eve and also my birthday, this restaurant has been my favorite place to eat. Not only is the food spectacular, but the service has always been perfection...until tonight. Usually, the staff is so attentive, and I never have to remind them to bring anything. Tonight, so many things were forgotten and/or incorrect. The server had to be reminded twice to bring us bread. The butter was frozen, so it was impossible to spread, and, in the past, the butter was always room temperature, and that detail was appreciated. Next, my drink was forgotten and the server had to be reminded. My husband requested that his drink be served with dinner which it wasn't and delivered to the wrong person. My friend's meal was incorrect, so she had to sit and watch everyone else eat as she waited. The restaurant did give her a complimentary soup for the mistake, so that was nice. What was probably most upsetting was that we requested dessert plates for cupcakes that we brought and the server told us that we would be charged $20, just for using dessert plates! We weren't asking for a cake to be cut or served, just plates to put our cupcakes on and it was a $20 charge! Absolutely ridiculous, especially since we were a group of 7 that ordered drinks and dinner. So, we had to have our cupcakes in the parking lot. Last, the server told us that they could not split up a bill, so we had to sit there figuring out all the math, and the server used the cash that was part of his tip from one friend to reduce the balance from another friend's bill who was paying with a credit card. It was such a mess, and I was very disappointed. This used to be my favorite restaurant for years, but with so many mistakes, it's hard to want to come back, which is a shame because the food is amazing. My advice is to not come for large parties! I hope management fixes the training of their servers. It used to be outstanding. Not sure who dropped the ball so far.“
