“Everything was good. It was our first time there.. I don’t appreciate the fact that they write in the tip without telling you .I had to go back because I double tipped and nobody said anything . They let me do it without saying a word.. they should tell you that they’re adding the tip in before you pay the bill. I didn’t realize what I did until I got to my car. I had to go back and straighten it out at the restaurant. I have four kids under the age of five. It wasn’t easy for me to do this. When you’re at the table with four kids and you’re trying to pay the bill, you don’t have time to look at it to see that the tip was added in. I gave the Service five stars because I think it was good Service. I just don’t like the idea of that she knew that all this was going on ,and didn’t remind me they had already put the 20% in .“

“We really enjoyed it here. We usually go to Polish Village Cafe, but this time, went to Pelonia instead. It was a bit difficult to get through the door with a wheelchair, but definitely easier than PVC. The food was very good, though we thought the stuffed cabbage was better at PVC. Overall, a great experience for a big group. It wasn't as cramped as it would have been at PVC either. We will be back.“

The environment is laid back, easy & chill. And the view is spectacular on Michigan Ave. Grabbing a seat at the bar—no problem! You’ll be dazzled by the large selection of craft cocktails—that’s a view in it self! It tends to get crowded quick, so calling ahead or beating the crown is suggested but it’s sooo worth it. I've been three times they've hit the mall each time. When you stay open until you sell out, you've got a winner. The food was so good I forgot to take pictures from anticipation. We had the waffle fries, roasted carrots with goat cheese, hot wings and two different pizzas.I don't eat pork, so having a beef pepperoni option was clutch! Everything was delicious, the roasted carrots were a present surprise. Our servers were extra attentive and helpful.“

I come for the vegan options so I don’t have to worry about my food allergies, but my family has enjoyed the non-vegan options as well. “Tonight I attended a wedding at C & G and could not be more impressed, and also pissed at myself for not patronizing this welcoming restaurant sooner. I’m lactose intolerant and allergic to chicken. The staff was incredibly accommodating and gracious. This is not often a feeling I receive when bringing up food allergies. The food & drinks were so incredibly tasty and the views were unreal. The Train station, spires of St Anne’s and the Ambassador Bridge all in one shot. Turn to the left and you have the beautifully landscaped Roosevelt park to stroll through after enjoying the back porch. I’m so blown away, and so happy my friend finally got me here! Thank you for a dreamy night.“

“If you haven’t been to The Fly Trap in Ferndale, you are seriously missing out.

I’ve been coming here for close to 20 years, and somehow they just keep hitting the mark. From the homemade jam to the perfect muffins, the food is consistently excellent.

The service may not always be perfectly polished, but honestly, that’s part of what I love about this place. It feels personal. They care about you, they remember people, and there’s something genuinely warm about being there.

Twenty years later, I’m still coming back. That probably says more than anything else could.

Here’s what we got:

Sun-dried tomato and basil cheese tart, warmed up with the cheese becoming gooey

Cinnamon roll croissant also warmed up, delicious

I docked 1 star for the unkind behavior of the brunette ponytailed barista. We bought an unhoused gentleman a coffee. He was with a walker and could hardly move. When the barista brought out his coffee, he asked her for cold water. She looked at him in disgust and walked away. I gave her a few mins to bring the water. When I realized she wasn’t going to, I walked over and demanded she give him the water. It was a hot, humid day. We already paid for his drink, it really didn’t need to go like that.

Besides that, all the cashiers were friendly and knowledgeable.“
