I come for the vegan options so I don’t have to worry about my food allergies, but my family has enjoyed the non-vegan options as well. The environment is fun; Que is always wonderful to talk with and has so much to be proud of in what she has created here…and if you didn’t know - THEY ALSO CATER…and do cooking classes!!! You’ll be dazzled by the large selection of craft cocktails—that’s a view in it self! It tends to get crowded quick, so calling ahead or beating the crown is suggested but it’s sooo worth it. “We really enjoyed it here. We usually go to Polish Village Cafe, but this time, went to Pelonia instead. It was a bit difficult to get through the door with a wheelchair, but definitely easier than PVC. The food was very good, though we thought the stuffed cabbage was better at PVC. Overall, a great experience for a big group. It wasn't as cramped as it would have been at PVC either. We will be back.“

The food is amazing--the chicken sandwich is the best you'll ever have in your lifetime. Don't leave without trying the tea. What a presentation! “The pizza was so good my boyfriend and I came here twice during our week stay in detroit. The edges are crisped to perfection! And you can tell all the ingredients used are fresh. Highly recommend the Packard pepperoni, perfect amount of spicy and sweet. The pizzas are large enough to share and you have the option to do half and half. The only con is there isn’t a ton of seating so you might end up waiting for a table but it's well worth the wait.“

I decided to skip cooking this year, and I’m so glad I did. I discovered Veganly Essential with Vegan Chef Kameal Paree' by a random vegan restaurant Google search, and ordered her Party of 1 Thanksgiving Meal — and wow, it did not disappoint!

The meal came with crispy oyster mushrooms, smoked greens, sweet potatoes, creamy vegan dressing, vegan mac, a cornbread muffin, cranberry sauce, gravy, barbecue sauce…plus a slice of vegan sweet potato pie and lavender lemonade. It was honestly enough to share, and everything tasted amazing.

My absolute favorite? Those crispy oyster mushrooms! They were perfectly seasoned and truly crispy.

“Was traveling for a conference and someone recommended this place and I’m so glad I stopped in. Short walk from many nearby hotels. The food is absolutely beautiful and there were pastries and desserts I’d never seen or heard of and I’ve been to a TON of French bakeries. This place takes it to the next level. I even had to make another transaction after I tried a piece of the mozzarella and Zatar bread loaf because it was that good.
