“Whenever I travel, I love to go to a local coffee shop, have a coffee, and buy a mug (with the shop’s name or logo on it) as a souvenir. A couple weeks ago, my husband and I had the privilege of camping overnight at the Holland State Park Beach Campground before our final leg back to Illinois. On our way out of town, we made a special stop at KIN coffee so I could purchase a latte and buy a mug. The barista was just the sweetest person and I ordered an iced Lavender Bee latte from her. It was excellent! Unfortunately, the shop seemed to be out of mugs to buy. Oh well! However, Lynn (owner?) overheard our conversation, and let’s just say, she went to great lengths to find a mug for me, which was so appreciated. The coffee shop is adorable and so inviting inside and out (there’s the cutest patio), and if I lived in Holland, I would be there all the time. The place was very busy, but the workers were so wonderful, and they really do make you feel like kin! And the coffee was wonderful! Now I am drinking from my mug at home, where the coffee isn’t as good, thinking about my next trip to KIN!“

Good coffee is very important to me. Anytime I'm traveling, I try to find the best local spots and this is a gem. If I were in town, they would be my go-to for fresh roasted beans and a flavored latte treat!

Over the years, this place has been a nice refuge from the typical burnt Starbucks bean. They roast on site to bring out the nuance in their well-sourced beans, and they are more than happy to take about the details of their coffee process. I always take a bag home with me to the city.

The people are great, and the space is chill. An easy place to get a treat and do a little work, or just a place to pick up great coffee to get the day going.

Sidenote - I'm not normally a flavored coffee drink person, but they have a seasonal (that is soon to be permanent) miso caramel latte that is 🔥👌🏼“

“Not sure what the hype is. Coffee was mediocre. Ordered oat milk latte with hazelnut syrup. I didn’t really care for it even though I order that pretty much everywhere The only food or snack they had were muffin tops that are prepackaged and refrigerated because they’re not just room temperature, they’re cold. Staff super nice! Very cute pup cups!“

I got an apple breakfast bar which was soooo good. The coffee, though a simple latte, was by far the best I’ve had.“

“Many of the people that are at the remote locations (inside gas stations, etc.) are not as knowledgeable as the servers in the free standing locations. Also, the choice of the donuts are not as good.“

“Dined with my wife while visiting Holland. Menu has large section of vegan options. I had the Big Breakfast of vegan eggs, sausage, potatoes, pancakes & avocado. A lot of food! My wife had a breakfast sandwich of sausage between pancakes with potatoes on the side. Everything was delicious, portions were large and service was good. Highly recommend! Even asked for lite ice, and they actually were capable of that simple request. Wish I lived closer. This would be my go-to Bigby.“

“When you come in the morning, you know you will be handled with care and served with a smile. The two ladies that open make sure your order is correct, are fast, and are hard workers. I can see they take pride in their work. The afternoon shift can learn a lesson from these two.“

“I just went through the drive thru and I didn't catch her name. She was a young blonde girl with glasses, very sweet hearted person. Sweeter than my Caramel white mocha with extra caramel. Keep her Starbucks! She's got such a great personality. She's amazing with customers.“

“Good gas station and always competitive with Meijer down the street. Turning right out of there can get tricky with traffic on 16th. Don't use the road to the west for right turns because the light will back past that. Turning left out of Speedway is going to be tricky and require light traffic and a bit of luck.“

“Great breakfast. Great staff in the morning. Came in for a Crispy Chicken sandwich. Soggy, bun looks like it was run over by a truck. No topping except for 2 pickles. Not good!“

“Busy location in a gas station. Ordered from a kiosk. Food was served fairly promptly however the fries were cold. Our order was complete and everything that we ordered showed up. I had to clean the table myself prior to eating but again as I know that it was quite busy.“
