“Third-wave coffee has yet to populate Michigan’s western coast the way breweries have. I personally enjoy buying locally roasted beans when traveling but have often had to stock up in my own city before heading up Michigan’s coast for a getaway.
Stovetop occupies a convenient stop off 31 and welcomed me in just moments before closing time. Staff was friendly and informative, even offering a sample of their Steeped Coffee Brew Bags as I mentioned we were camping for the week.
I went with their Wildflower Blend and Uganda Natural Process, the former truly satisfying my desire for a light, floral roast that is difficult to find, yet so necessary, in a small beach town.
Stovetops packaging is clever and comprehensive, sharing details on brewing and the beans inside with colorful language indicative of its locale. The branding and illustration style offer a friendly face to those who may find third-wave’s more clinical branding trends intimidating.
While I hope to see more roasters pop up along the lake in the coming years, Stovetop is sure to remain a regular stop for us on every pass through Holland.“
“Was there today. Met some friends for coffee. It was great! And I had a raspberry white chocolate scone warmed so the butter melted into every knock and cranny .... so good! You should stop by and enjoy a wonderful cup of coffee and a special treat.“

“My husband and I visited Saugatuck for the first time this past weekend so had to try this cute coffee place. Great service - they were busy and friendly. I had the caramel cold brew and my husband had the mocha latte — both were great. The whole vibe of the place was just great.“

“What a treat to find such a beautiful gem of a restaurant and then find that the owner is also a wonderful gem herself! Do yourself a favor and stop in for something to eat and drink, there's no wrong choices here! Give the monster cookie a try as well!“

“Great coffee. Hours are a bit deceiving though. Went there to finish my work day and I felt rushed to leave at 4:55PM as they said their cafe hours are different and close at 5PM not 6PM. I wonder if there is a way to make that more clear for customers. Just a suggestion, thanks again for the coffee!☕️“

“Very glad we went here! Everything we ordered was very good - matcha, coffee, sandwiches, muffin. Very relaxing atmosphere, good music playing, best of all...kind people. My only regret is that it was our last day and we'll have to wait until next year to go back!“

“My friend and I came here for the first time today and wow…. Wish we stopped here last time we were in town. The service was top notch. We arrived close to closing, because we didn’t know what time they closed and they welcomed us in with a huge smile and open arms! Our server was happy and helpful. The place was clean and very pretty. Even the bathroom…. Then came the food and Oh my goodness, delicious and beautifully plated. Compliments to the chefs! I think this will be our go to for lunch anytime we are in town. Thank You Gateway Spoon Cafe and Grill.“

“You are always greeted when you walk through the door. The drinks and coffee are well prepared. Be prepared to wait early morning, but it's worth it.This location can be noisy and cold. The parking lot is a little confusing the first time as it makes it looks like drive through only driving up through the parking lot behind but you can drive past the drive through lane and park in front.“

“Delicious ready-made snacks for your sweet tooth (peanut butter pie parfait and cookie dough balls), and wide selection of yummy fruity teas (pictured here is Starburst) and shakes (cherry crumble)…way better than Starbucks IMO…and better for you. Very friendly staff!“

“Zoe is an absolute frappuccino wizard—seriously, if frappuccino-making were an Olympic sport, she’d have more gold medals than Michael Phelps. Her ability to whip up the perfect frappuccino is nothing short of magical. Every sip of my drink was like a taste of heaven, blended to absolute perfection. It’s clear that Zoe has a PhD in frappuccinoology because she nailed it with precision.
But wait, there’s more! Zoe isn’t just a frappuccino genius; she’s also a comedy powerhouse. Her humor is so sharp, it should come with a warning label. During my visit, she had me laughing so hard I almost spilled my drink (and that would have been tragic considering how perfect it was). Her witty banter and playful jabs turned an ordinary coffee stop into a stand-up comedy show, leaving me with a smile so big it might still be there.
In short, Zoe is the unicorn of the frappuccino world—rare, magical, and wildly entertaining. Her blend of expert drink-making and top-tier humor makes her a one-of-a-kind gem at Starbucks. If you’re lucky enough to encounter her, prepare yourself for a drink that’s out of this world and laughter that could brighten even the dreariest of days. Thanks, Zoe, for proving that great coffee and great company can come from the same place! So good I had to put 2 reviews ??? Shoutout Zoe!!!“
