“Great beautiful place with great ambiance. Three people in my party ordered the Branzino - from what we could eat it was delicious - however, it should have been fileted. I have never seen or had so many bones in my mouth from any fish. Wondering if it was really Branzino. The three of us could barely eat the fish, it was almost impossible. You would think that such a good chef would do that to make sure we didn''t get any bones stuck in our throats. Otherwise, all the other food was great -just don't order the Branzino unless they filet it.“

We needed a last minute order for 15 people and were scrambling after calling 5 other mediterranean restaurants that all quoted us $300.00 or more. Sheesh came through for us in the best way. The owner, Mike< was personally involved, incredibly helpful and made the process easy and stress free. Not only was the service outstanding, but the price was more than fair-just $180.00 for everything we needed. The food was fresh, delicious and everyone in our family]group loved it. “Two nights ago , my wife and I dined at Al Shallal, a Lebanese family owned and operated restaurant. We were warmly greeted by hostess/server Nourhan and offered menus. My wife ordered an absolutely delicious falafel plate that was accompanied by a marvelous tahini sauce and rice. I chose the perfectly spiced and prepared mixed grill (beef kabob, chicken tawook and beef kafta served with a pungent garlic sauce and rice. Our order included, as a prelude, a choice of salad or soup. We opted for the homemade (all items we ordered were made from scratch) chicken lemon soup: shredded chicken, and rice in a deeply flavorful lemony chicken broth (yum). Our servings were generously portioned and absolutely scrumptious. Following the meal, we ordered homemade, once again, baklava and a small pot of a cardamom infused Lebanese coffee. Food heaven. Nourhan was an absolutely wonderful server (daughter of the owners who were the chefs). We have dined at many Lebanese, Iraqi and Iranian restaurants. Al Shallal, in Dearborn Heights , Michigan ranks at the very top for quality, price, taste, presentation, authenticity and service. Thank you Nourhan and family.“

“My daughter & I ordered a Kaffta wrap & Gyro. Both where phenomenal!!! I have ate there previously, the food is excellent, fresh, made right in front of you. The charcoal is what makes it for me... The restaurant is the cleanest it could possibly be, bathrooms included. I can't say enough about the service, I believe I dealt with the Husband/Wife owners, they are awesome people. They will give you a great experience with a smile. I can't say enough about this place, if you don't try it your missing out, support the mom & pop industry, they give you more than any chain business can provide. I'll keep coming back. The lunch specials don't cost much more than a fast food combination meal. The staff is courteous and friendly. The salad is so fresh and we love the dressing and pita chips in it. The hummus is great. The chicken schwarma sandwich is yummy and a great lunch deal. But we usually split the platter for 2 when we are both eating here because it lets you try multiple things and gives you way more food. we always have leftovers so we get to eat more of this amazing food later on. All the meat has been juicy and tender. We love the rice with the almonds in it. Everything is just delicious! Can't wait to come back. I want to try other things because they have so many things that sound good but we also love what we get already so it's so hard to switch it up! lol Might have to try something new next time though just to see what else we like. “I orderes through DoorDash and figured I'd give them a shot. I ordered a chicken shawarma sandwich, small tabouleh, and medium fries as they didnt have an option for small through DoorDash. I dont know if something got lost in translation or if its genuinely like this everytime, but the tabouleh and fries I got would be large or extra large at most other places. The tabouleh was the best ive had from outside the home. The fries are fantastic, and the chicken shawarma came LOADED.“

“Highly recommend! First time in and won’t be my last. Best beef kafta I’ve ever had and I grew up in Dearborn. Better than La Marsa, Shish, anywhere. Kafta is tender and not overcooked. They have the food fresh baked round pita bread, not the store bought. The dressing for fattoush is soo good. My server, Rumana, was so sweet and attentive. 11/10!“

“Got a coupon for Middle Eats so came to check it out. It was pretty busy in the middle of the afternoon, so I figured people must really like this place. Guy on register was very accommodating to our requests and did not rush us at all without holding anyone up. The man who gave us our food served us with a beautiful smile.

I was absolutely shocked at the amount of food I received. The shawarma bowl is HUGE! Not just a great portion, either. Its great quality! So delicious! All the flavors are present but not overpowering. I will be having this for lunch and dinner!“

“I normally frequent the brownstone location. however in my work travels sometimes I stop by the 14 n Woodward location. today I got a bowl and had a few problems. 1 the lid wasn't on all the way so now got food all over my clothes and inside my vehicle. also the pieces of meat were big and not sliced up. How tf is someone supposed to eat that with a plastic fork ? it would of took 30 seconds to slice that up for a bowl, instead it was left whole. normally the food is great, but today was not good.“
